The Shadow Claw has sent you forth as a vanguard of Geb to seek a book that may hold the key to where Nex has been hiding all these years...

Minor Crab-beast

Reflex: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22

The figure concentrating on the portal is quick to react and slough to the side to avoid the deep drop, however the movement makes his attention waver for a few moments and the portal starts to flicker. The figure redoubles it's efforts and it's hood falls backwards revealing a horned skull whose eye sockets are ablaze with fire.

The two Venedaemons that had been waiting now spring into action, rising into the air and sending waves of arcane missiles at Vesta...
2 x Magic Missile: 5d4 + 5 ⇒ (1, 3, 3, 1, 1) + 5 = 14 and 5d4 + 5 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 1, 1) + 5 = 16
They also now rise 30ft into the air.

Vesta:
Just so that you know what happened. The first one saw you, and warned the other telepathically to be wary, but he held action through caution not knowing what you were. After you cast the second was able to pinpoint you as well and launch an attack in unison.

Action Tracker (Round 2): Gathroc, Ignac, Venedaemon, Grigore, Clawed, Gabriel, Daemon, Vesta, 2 x Back-Row Venedaemons

Grigore - yeah, now that I think of it your Round 1 action can be an attempt to save, giving you a chance to act in Round 2.

Female Human (ghost) Shadow Sorcerer 10

Vesta floats into the nearest solid object (wall or ceiling) and Cast's Shield on herself.

Male Vampire (Previously Human) Magus 10

Okay, will save part two: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Yeah, failure...

Same action as last, then.

Female Human (ghost) Shadow Sorcerer 10

Round 3 action

Current AC = 31
Immune to magic missile due to shield (which no one saw her cast.)

Vesta emerges partially from the ceiling (partial cover) and attempts to telekinetically bull rush the one holding open the portal into the spiked pit she made earlier.

(no save, but SR applies as normal)

CMB 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (2) + 21 = 23
To overcome Spell Resistance 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22 (+4 more if spell penetration feat applies to Spell like abilities)

Can use Telikinesis again in 1d4 ⇒ 1 rounds

Male Fell Tiefling Fighter/Monk/Magus 12(tristalt)

Gathroc's innate defenses ward off the attempt to curtail his assault Halt Undead failed to penetrate SR

Took 30 points of damage, down to 160, fast healing brings me up to 165

Will post saves later, need to look some stuff up and can't at work right now

Male Fell Tiefling Fighter/Monk/Magus 12(tristalt)

DM question:
Voiceless, need a ruling. Would the Weapon Master's Weapon Guard and the bonus from Gloves of Dueling apply to the reflex save to avoid havin my weapon getting stuck?

Pretty sure they should, as the idea is to decrease the likelyhood of losing your weapon, regardless of source or effect.

'Male' Crawling Claw (Human) Rogue 10

Reflex: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (5) + 17 = 22.

With a mighty wrench, Gabriel bursts from the enclosing goop of the Daemon, before it is able to set around him...

Male Human Graveknight Armiger 10
Gabriel Helminth wrote:
Gabriel also has an Aura of Desecration :-P

He may have an Aura of Desecration, but I count as an altar. I give double your bonuses.

Attacking the guy in F101d20 + 25 ⇒ (15) + 25 = 40
Damage1d10 + 2d6 + 24 ⇒ (2) + (4, 6) + 24 = 36

Second attack, VS D11 if F10 is taken out:1d20 + 18 ⇒ (12) + 18 = 30
Damage1d10 + 2d6 + 24 ⇒ (10) + (3, 4) + 24 = 41

The 2d6s are Electrical.

'Male' Crawling Claw (Human) Rogue 10

@Ignac: True, but when it comes to animating undead, both have the same effect. Otherwise, I agree, being near Ignac is more beneficial in terms of bonuses :-)

Male Human Graveknight Armiger 10

No, if you read Desecrate, when they're animated without an altar, they get +1 hp/hd, when animated with an altar/graveknight, they give +2hp/hd.

'Male' Crawling Claw (Human) Rogue 10

Ah, I was not thinking of that; I was only thinking of the 'get double the HD worth of undead with each casting' that any desecrate provides :-)

Minor Crab-beast

Gathroc - the effect is not so much disarming as it is snaring the weapon... but I can see how it would be somewhat helpful.
Let's split the difference, add half of the bonus on your Reflex check - so that would be an effective +3.
If anyone's weapon does become snared it's a move action DC 15 Strength check to free it.

Male Fell Tiefling Fighter/Monk/Magus 12(tristalt)

Not to nit pick, but how isn't this an "effect that would cause me to loose my grip on my weapon"??. I mean, I get that technically I could still hold on to the blade, but it seems the spirit of the bonuses is more about being able to keep using the weapon, hence the bonus applying to sunder as well as disarm, not just hold it.

Minor Crab-beast

1. It is a nit-pick.
2. As I stated, I've split the difference and given you half the bonuses. Wording is twistable both ways, so I've gone down the centre.

Male Fell Tiefling Fighter/Monk/Magus 12(tristalt)

1d20 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 23 Reflex save to keep weapon

1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24 Reflex save to avoid falling into pit

Gathroc jumps forward slightly getting out of the way of the pit.Now in H11, on the corpse I just killed He then strikes down the fiend next to him attacking I11 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (17) + 28 = 45 roll to confirm 1d20 + 32 ⇒ (19) + 32 = 51 Power attack 2d10 + 60 + 1d10 + 2d6 ⇒ (6, 6) + 60 + (8) + (6, 4) = 90

Critical hit!

Minor Crab-beast

Gathroc:
How do you get to +13 for Reflex? - your character sheet lists only +7.
Dullahan has a base of +3, 4 levels of Fighter are +1, 17 Dex gives +3 and Cloak of Resistance another +3 = 10 only (11 including the current Haste bonus), what am I missing? It doesn't change if you are or aren't affected this round... but may in the future.
For a medium term project - your character sheet could do with a better breakdown of all your numbers - with a listing of where all of the individual modifiers come from.
Will make it much easier for me to refer to later.

Gathroc wrenches his blade free of the expiring lacridaemon and manages to leap to the side of the pit and then proceeds to bury his blade deep in the chest of another of the daemons. Zennuelge pulses with dark energy as the life-force of the daemon struck is sucked into the weapon, it's keening wail of terror fills the room...
1. Another DC 20 Reflex to avoid getting weapon stuck.
2. Gain 1 soul point for Zennuelge
3. Might want to take another step forward - ending round adjacent to an existing pit forces another reflex save to avoid falling in.

Ignac lashes out with his new bardiche and two crimson cuts bloom on the lacridaemon unlucky enough to be in it's way. The second cut is fatal and Ignac feels the daemon's flesh harden and threaten to ensnare his weapon...
DC 20 Reflex or weapon gets stuck.
Also - as with above for Gathroc, may want to take a 5ft step away from the pit.

Ignac:
You get a growing sense of awareness and visceral pleasure flowing from your weapon.

Daemons update incoming - need to play with map and make sure everything is updated and correct.

Action Tracker (Round 2): Gathroc, Ignac, Venedaemon, Grigore, Clawed, Gabriel, Daemon, Vesta, 2 x Back-Row Venedaemons

Damage Tracker:
Lacridaemon - F,10 and I,11 - dead

Male Vampire (Previously Human) Magus 10

He's including Ignac's +2 profane bonus from Aura of Desecration, 30' range
For when it comes to my turn:
Will Save DC 18 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18 Success!
I believe that's my entire action, no?

Minor Crab-beast

Ok, fair enough - but also as a general comment, could you please format rolls as follows:
1d20 + X + Y1 + Y2....
Where X is your normal base bonus (which should be on character sheet and include your gear, but no buffs)
Y1 and Y2 ... are any bonuses or penalties added, such as for power attack / desecration / etc.
Would make my life much easier.

Male Fell Tiefling Fighter/Monk/Magus 12(tristalt)

What Grigore said. So base 7+3 from cloak+1 Haste+2 from Aura of Desecration

DM:
The +3 from the cloak is included, in the parentheses. Haste is temporary, so isn't included and the bonuses from Gloves, Weapon Guard and Aura are situational and thus not included as well.

However, since making Gathroc, I've realized its helpful to have class features listed, and I'll also list out the Gloves, since they add a bonus to a fair amount of stuff.

In response to your above, I can, but there's a slight problem which make it just as difficult and confusing: There doesn't appear to be a way to denote what the bonus is that doesn't screw up the rolls. Ex, awhile ago, I tried to include "cold" in the dice roll so you'd know about my cold damage and all that did was royally screw things up. Not saying I can't do it, but it might not make things better and I wanted you to know it's a potential issue

Male Human Graveknight Armiger 10

Reflex:1d20 + 6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 6 + 2 + 1 = 23

+1 from haste, +2 from Desecration

Do you mind if I include my Desecration bonus all the time, as it's a constant thing for me?

DM, to Weapon, specifically:

::You like that, do ya? Well then, let's have some more.::

Minor Crab-beast

Yeah the bonus typing can't go into the roll itself, but it's useful for me to have it broken out by numbers. Usually only need to do the written part once for a combat, and generally only when there are multiple effects in play.
An example from my Barbarian in another PbP:
CMB for Grapple (including Power Attack): [di]1d20 + 6 + 2 + 1 + 5 - 2 - 1[/di] - 6 base +2 rage +1 bless +5 to maintain grapple -2 shaken-1 power attack to inflict damage [di]1d3 + 4 + 2 + 2[/di]

Ignac - I'm fine with you considering the desecration as part of your base bonus.

Grigore - correct... though you could 5ft step or talk if you like?

Male Vampire (Previously Human) Magus 10

How about both? :)
Taking a step forward, Grigore screams out in a language that none of the party understands.

Daemonic:
Your blood shall feed my Thirst, beasts!

Minor Crab-beast

The Venedaemons floating in the air continue their sorcerous assault.

Two of them continue the barrage of firey lances. One targets Gathroc and one Ignac, each gesturing to produce twin spears of liquid fire...

Gathroc's Set:
Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21 and 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Spell Penetration: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15 and 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 1, 1) = 6 and 4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 1, 6) = 11

Ignac's Set:
Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 11 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 11 - 4 = 23 and 1d20 + 11 - 4 ⇒ (9) + 11 - 4 = 16
Spell Penetration: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18 and 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 1, 6) = 18 and 4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 5, 1) = 11

Another yawning pit opens at the palm of Gabriel DC 19 Reflex Save - success means 5ft step in any direction

Failed Save:
40ft deep drop into 5ft of acid, 3d6 falling damage - followed by 2d6 acid damage on your turn

The invisible venedaemon remains hidden to your eyes...

Perception DC34:
Moving forward to hover in the air above Gabriel.
Stealth: 1d20 + 13 + 20 ⇒ (1) + 13 + 20 = 34

And the last attempts to slow time for the fighters in the midst of combat...
Slow Spell: Spell Penetration: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17 DC 18 Will save or Haste is dispelled - on Ignac, Gathroc and Gabriel

Grigore is able to throw off the effects of his mental imprisonment.

From left to right they cast:
Scorching Ray (C,7), Create Acid Pit (F,8), Scorching Ray (H,7), Slow (M,7)

Action Tracker (Round 2): Gathroc, Ignac, Venedaemon, Grigore, Clawed, Gabriel, Daemon, Vesta, 2 x Back-Row Venedaemons

Minor Crab-beast

The lacridaemons press on their attack despite seeing many of their number fall. They are aware that they are merely fodder for the more powerful daemons and play that part to a tee.

Ignac is assaulted by no less than four of them, claws and teeth scratching at him...
Claws: 8d20 ⇒ (13, 20, 11, 5, 1, 17, 2, 8) = 77 they only hit on a 20
Teeth: 4d20 ⇒ (5, 20, 17, 3) = 45
Confirmations: 2d20 ⇒ (19, 18) = 37 - for Claw: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 and Bite: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

The unengaged lacridaemons on the right flank surge past the melee and attack the two undead lagging towards the back...
Gregori Claw: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 9 + 2 = 31 for 1d4 + 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + (2) + 2 = 8 second d4 is acid
Confirmation: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 9 + 2 = 16
Daemon Claw: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 9 + 2 = 14 for 1d4 + 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + (3) + 2 = 9 second d4 is acid
Daemon Claw: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 9 + 2 = 20 for 1d4 + 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + (3) + 2 = 9 second d4 is acid

Updated Map

Male Human Graveknight Armiger 10

The rays of fire both disappear just before reaching Ignac, and the slow doesn't seem to slow him down in the least. SR 22, not 21 as I previously thought, not that it matters for me.

I also forgot about haste. Do you mind if I make that Haste attack, or do you want me to just skip it for now?

Attack, if I can have it, on D11:1d20 + 26 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 26 - 2 = 33
Damage, if I can have it:1d10 + 2d6 + 24 ⇒ (8) + (4, 1) + 24 = 37

Doh! You posted a bit before me. My proposed attack is against my back-up target from my last full-attack.

Minor Crab-beast

Using the haste attack is ok - I've also nudged both you and Gathroc away from the pits to avoid the Reflex to fall in rolls.

Male Human Graveknight Armiger 10

Also, do their attacks count as magic? If so, I take 5 damage, if not, I take none.

Minor Crab-beast

Magic yes - but only vanilla +1

Male Human Graveknight Armiger 10

Alright. 5 damage it is. 189/194

'Male' Crawling Claw (Human) Rogue 10

Reflex save: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (13) + 17 = 30.

Gabriel lithely leaps to one side as a pit attempts to open-up beneath him...

Will: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16.

...but then slows back down to his normal speed.

Perception: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (11) + 23 = 34.

His uncanny senses enable him to pin-point the creature flying directly above him, and with a running leap...

Acrobatics(Jump)1d20 + 23 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 23 + 4 = 29

...he attempts to claw at the creature hovering, invisibly, just above him!

+1 ghost-touch claw: 1d20 + 25 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 25 + 2 = 38, for 1d1 + 15 + 5d6 ⇒ (1) + 15 + (2, 4, 1, 4, 4) = 31 Magical, Silver, S/B damage.

Invisibility miss chance (high = hit): 1d10 ⇒ 10.

Free Grapple check: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (15) + 18 = 33.

DM - Voice:
Gabriel has 30' blind sense, so I am not sure if he really needs to make the roll to see if he can 'perceive' the creature directly above him.

Gabriel has a 5' reach normally (due to lunge), so if the creature is within 17' of the floor, Gabriel can reach him. HOWEVER...

If the Daemon is up 'high' (I am assuming not from the description of it being 'directly above'...?) Gabriel will, instead of making a direct jump, first run up Gathroc's shoulder (to gain him another 5' of height) (first acrobatics check), and then do another jump to try and reach the beast...

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 23 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 23 + 4 = 41... which will reach it if it is within 25' of the ground.

Also, if the grapple is successful, Gabriel is strangling the beast, and it cannot cast spells with verbal components :-)

Male Vampire (Previously Human) Magus 10

The acid pierces DR, the rest is negated unless they pierce Silver and Magic

Gabriel scurries up the full length of of Gathroc and leaps into the air, swiping at where the venedaemon hovers above him - though his fingers brush upon it's robe only and he is unable to get a solid grip, instead falling back to the chamber's floor.

It was up high - but you only missed from the invisibility miss chance.
Correct on the fact you perceive invisible targets within 30ft without need for perception checks.

Gabriel missed? He rolled high to hit...? I realise I did not roll a d100, but I am happy to do so, if that would help :-)

Minor Crab-beast

Bah humbug - I read the result as out of 100 and missed the missing digit.
I'll update it later tonight to reflect the hit.

'Male' Crawling Claw (Human) Rogue 10

No worries :-) I will make sure to 'standardize' my macros in future :-)

Minor Crab-beast

Ignac's magically fuelled haste allows him to strike at another foe, bardiche snaking ruin across it's trunk.

As Gabriel falls he is buoyed by an intangible force and his nails dig through the robe of the invisible venedaemon and deep into it's flesh. Those who watch are gifted the sight of a severed hand hanging in space about twenty five feet in the air, blood slowly dripping from it.

Lacridaemon - D11 - 32

Male Vampire (Previously Human) Magus 10

The vampire grins at the strange sight, calling out in common Strike true, my companions! Tonight, we feast on these fools for attempting such an act of heresy!

Grigore turns his attention back to the Daemons in front of him, licking his lips at the thought of the carnage he will wreak today.

Reposted from above:

Round 3 action

Current AC = 31

Vesta - I'm currently pausing for Daemon, and yes the bolded ones are the players yet to act this turn.
Can I ask that you don't post actions so far in advance? - the action you've put up is for Round 3, which is a long long way away in game time. I'd prefer you post in order (especially with so many actions involved) or at most a single round only in advance.
As you stated before your Round 2 action is to float into a solid object and cast shield.

No problem. I thought we had made it to round 3.

Male Fell Tiefling Fighter/Monk/Magus 12(tristalt)

Once again the attempt to slow down the barrage of the Dullahan fails to breach his resistences, as does one the fiery rays. The second one hits but is partially mitgated by his accelerated healing. takes 11 damage down to 154, fast healing brings me up to 159

Both of the creatures', who has closed on me, claw attacks miss. I look at them with disdain and 5ft step to G-21 ignoring them and again trying to close the portal with a dispel attempt.

"Would you rather they have re-enforcements pour through the portal to assist them? Besides it seems that you are handling them well enough. This strikes me as a distraction anyway, they are probably focusing a covert attack elsewhere."

Male Human Graveknight Armiger 10

Gathroc, they know more of magic than us. If that seems to be a greater threat than what we have at hand, and it may be, let them go for it.

Male Vampire (Previously Human) Magus 10

Speaking of knowing more about magic...
Spellcraft to ID the portal...? :D 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (4) + 19 = 23
Kn. Arcana is same mod, if that's more applicable. I do not have Kn. Planes.

Minor Crab-beast

Daemon unsuccessfully attempts to dispel the energies of the portal once more as Vesta moves out of the chamber and into the roof.

The forms of the two venedaemon towards the back begin to blur and haze, making it indistinct where they truly are. Cast blur

The horned skeletal figure focused on the portal continues his work and it appears as though it is almost complete.

Grigore is sure it is a portal to a place upon Abaddon, where these Daemon have come from. The horned skeletal figure appears to be attempting to stablize it so that it might stay open on it's own.

The crits came at the end this time because Paizo'll eat my crits otherwise >.>

All rolls are including +1 for haste, my new weapon bonus, and -2 to all attack rolls for Spell Combat.
Attacks include my extra attack from haste.
All 2d6's rolled are damage from Vicious Weapon property.

Fast Healing 5 at the end of my action.

Current Status:

HP 108/123
AC 28/16/22
Arcane Pool 14/15
Active Effects Haste, +3 on weapon

I'll add appropriate edits for misses, etc etc.

And sorry for the early post, but I'm awake now, and don't want to make you all wait when I go sleep :/

Does the Horned Skeleton trying to keep the portal open appear to be using speech to work his spells or is he silent?
