Discussion thread up.

Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 1 AC:18 [T:12 F:16][HP:13/13] Fort:5 Ref:2 Will:3 Perc:+2 Init:+2

Sweet. Here is the Alias that will have crunch sometime tonight.

Valkur, are you alright with the Dorn-Dergar from Dwarves of Golarion and its associated feats?

hps 9/9, AC 17, F +2 R +6 W +2 CMD 12 Init +3 Perc +5 Halfling Bard 1

dotting and re-checking my character crunches

HP 9 / AC 12, T 12, FF 10 / CMD 10 / Perception +0 / Init +2 Appearance

This is the alias I'll be using. Empty at the moment, I'll fill it out soon.

Male Human

Looks like a good group. We even have a trapfinder. Do you pronounce it El Grim? Old Grim? :P

Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 1 AC:18 [T:12 F:16][HP:13/13] Fort:5 Ref:2 Will:3 Perc:+2 Init:+2

It's generally pronounced phonetically, though Grim is sometimes a Diminutive. He'll have a diminutive he answers to, which you'll learn when we meet IC. :)

HP 9 / AC 12, T 12, FF 10 / CMD 10 / Perception +0 / Init +2 Appearance

K did up my crunch. It's 99% done. Looking for a good image and then I'll put some meat on the background and appearance etc.

Don't have the book, but I did look it up online at d20pfsrd. Looks okay to me (weapon and feats).

Queslin checking in. I like pina coladas and getting caught in the rain. I'm not much into health food. I am into champagne. Oh yes, and turning the undead into the just dead.

Nice Rupert Holmes reference! If you're not into yoga, or have half-a- brain!

Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 1 AC:18 [T:12 F:16][HP:13/13] Fort:5 Ref:2 Will:3 Perc:+2 Init:+2

Let me know how this looks. I'll pretty it up with spoilers and such tomorrow.

Dead Goblins, Dead Geckos

@Terrin Hommlet & Kyle Reyford were you planning on taking one of the main human sub races in Greyhawk? No stat block difference just flavor. Suel, Flan, Baklunish, Oeridian or just a mix?

Everybody's stat blocks are looking pretty good. I did forget to mention max starting gold for your characters. Also please include your background and appearance in your character page if you have not done so already.

HP 9 / AC 12, T 12, FF 10 / CMD 10 / Perception +0 / Init +2 Appearance

I should have some kind of background up today. If not then definitely before the end of the weekend. Just depends on how detailed you want it. I've never actually played in Greyhawk before, so more details=more research.

I'll go with Suloise for Kyle- he's fair skinned and red haired.

I had thought I read average starting gold, so I added in 100 gp..then did some shopping/gear swapping. Kyle should be 100% at this point.

Dead Goblins, Dead Geckos

I did originally have average starting gold. I changed my mind, AoW tends to be rather deadly in some spots even in the first installment. So every little bit extra equipment helps.

@Kyle, I'd say Suloise is a good choice based on your avatar pick.

A paragraph is fine. Is your patron going to be Wee Jas?

HP 9 / AC 12, T 12, FF 10 / CMD 10 / Perception +0 / Init +2 Appearance

Well, shadow. But flavor wise, yes, Wee Jas. I'd prefer her to be acknowledged as clergy by the church of Wee Jas, but I don't know if they have non cleric/inquisitor priests.

HP 9 / AC 12, T 12, FF 10 / CMD 10 / Perception +0 / Init +2 Appearance

Background is up. Let me know if there's anything needs changing.

I think Tara's in good shape.
Though all this talk of deadliness is making me review the rules for soft cover.

Dead Goblins, Dead Geckos

I'll do the final check tomorrow morning and get the first game post going. Prepare for lots of icky worms!

Male Human

Looking forward to it.

HP 9 / AC 12, T 12, FF 10 / CMD 10 / Perception +0 / Init +2 Appearance

So we have Cleric, Paladin, Bard, Rogue and Witch right? Decent party. But why do I feel like the paladin and cleric of Pelor aren't going to be too happy with the death magic wielding witche-priestess of Wee Jas?

male High Elf Ranger 1 | AC: 16 T:13 F:13| HP: 12/12| Fort: +3 Ref: +6 Will -1 | Perc: +6 | Init: +4

What am I? Chopped liver? I love killing undead.

HP 9 / AC 12, T 12, FF 10 / CMD 10 / Perception +0 / Init +2 Appearance

My bad, I missed your post when I was listing everyone. I love killing undead too. Controlling them is better though. Then you can use them to kill other undead.

hps 9/9, AC 17, F +2 R +6 W +2 CMD 12 Init +3 Perc +5 Halfling Bard 1

A little interparty conflict makes it a better story, that's all I care about. Well, OK, that and surviving. And saving the day.

Worms .... ew.

Dead Goblins, Dead Geckos

Tara: I have your character new in town. Pretty much as the campaign starts.

Breda: I'll have your character in in town and still trying to get hired by the Governor-Mayor's (Lanod Neff) as a Lawyer. His aides keep telling you to check back.

You have also been approached by a man named Reynold about joining the the local cult of Wee Jas which is located on the other side of the lake in the Cairn of the Green Lady. (Assuming you openly worshiping Wee Jas)

Kyle: You are a native to Diamond Lake and have just recently quit working as a miner for Balabar Smenk (the town's most notorious mine manager) and are looking for new "opportunities".

Queslin:You have been in town working for the Bronzewood Lodge, which is a communitie of Druids, Rangers and others working to persevere the wildness of the cairn hills. Do you want your character to be from any particular in the World of Greyhawk? Also Greyhawk has several sub races of Elf, Grey, High and Wood are the most common.

Terrin: Your character is also new in town, just arrived from the Free City of Greyhawk's Temple of Pelor to do missionary work. High Matriarch Sarana, expects some converts in town which will pave the way for a shrine and in time a proper church.

EldgrimYour character is also new in town. Your kinfolk in Greysmere (the largest Dwarvern settlement in the Greyhawk City area), told you, you could seek work at the Greysmere Covenant. The Covenant servers as brokers for ore for the various local Dwarven communities. Eldgrim any thought to a dwarven sub-race. Hill or Mountain? I believe the dwarves of Greysmere are Hill.

High Elf.

Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 1 AC:18 [T:12 F:16][HP:13/13] Fort:5 Ref:2 Will:3 Perc:+2 Init:+2

I'm thinking Mountain. Seems to fit his "dug too deep and found something terrible" motif a bit better.

Terrin is probably a mix. His family moved from the area near Hommlet before he was born, but kept the surname.

Male Human Fighter (Lore Warden) 9

I'm not sure where things stand at the moment. 4 PCs have departed for adventure, leaving the two divine characters sitting in the tavern.

I know Paladins are generally tough to get long with and can certainly respect it if the party wants me to withdraw Eldgrim. If that's the case, would you prefer to be shy one PC or should I roll out a new concept?

HP 9 / AC 12, T 12, FF 10 / CMD 10 / Perception +0 / Init +2 Appearance

Why exactly did he not want to come?

Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 1 AC:18 [T:12 F:16][HP:13/13] Fort:5 Ref:2 Will:3 Perc:+2 Init:+2

He strode away from Kyle's continual lewd jokes at the ladies' expense. He doesn't know about the map or really where the group is going.

Terrin hasn't even been spoken to by the party yet.

Dead Goblins, Dead Geckos

I was assuming everybody was going. I suppose it is the nature of pbp games things can get a bit disjointed at times. I think the party composition is great. We have some morally questionable characters, a few do gooders and some in the middle. I think that will provide some good RP possibilities.

And if this game makes it far enough (which I hope it will) it could possibly split into two groups.

Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 1 AC:18 [T:12 F:16][HP:13/13] Fort:5 Ref:2 Will:3 Perc:+2 Init:+2

Kyle, Breda, Queslin and Tara all strode out of the tavernwith the map and a purpose.

Eldgrim is at the bar getting another drink, ignorant of both map and purpose. The last he knew, Kyle was talking about tomb raiding, but at this point Eldgrim is convinced that Kyle has some unscrupulous purpose behind the suggestion.

I'm fairly sure that the only PC interaction Terrin has seen was the quick exchange with Eldgrim after Eldgrim left the table with the others.

Having typed all that out. It's feasible that Eldgrim could follow the other four to make sure Kyle doesn't do harm. Though he was really expecting some greater Evil to be faced.

Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 1 AC:18 [T:12 F:16][HP:13/13] Fort:5 Ref:2 Will:3 Perc:+2 Init:+2

I'm more than willing to follow along at that. If the party'd prefer the grumpy dwarf paladin not follow along, he can stay at the bar and see how far his gold can take him. I certainly don't want to ruin anyone's fun while acting as "moral compass."

Dead Goblins, Dead Geckos

@Eldgrim, and if anything you should go along just to make sure they don't do any law breaking. :)

Male Human Radiant Servant/1
Stats:
(AC: 16 [T:10 F: 16] [HP: 9/9] Fort: +6 Ref: +0 Will +5 Perc: +3 Init: +0)

Terrin doesn't really have a reason to go along yet. His charge is to take care of the people of the town, not go off and raid tombs.

Now if there was a threat to the town of some sort...perhaps from disturbing undead...that would be a good reason for Terrin to go. But everybody knows that most of the tombs here about have been discovered and cleared out. This area is relatively safe, being so close to Greyhawk.

Well that is what Terrin thinks in any rate.

hps 9/9, AC 17, F +2 R +6 W +2 CMD 12 Init +3 Perc +5 Halfling Bard 1

FWIW, the invitation to come outside and discuss an adventure to the Whispering Cairn was extended to everyone. I made a point to acknowledge both paladin and priest with gestures at least, but if it'll help move things along, I can go back in and sweet talk them.

Male Human

Kyle thanked Terrin for fixing his toothache. Sure it was a lie, but it was interaction. Kyle likely wouldn't let the group go anywhere without the aid of the dwarf and can definitely see the advantage of bringing along a priest of Pelor. After all Wee Jas' idea of healing includes waiting till your dead. *wink*

I also think most of the party will be surprised by how different Kyle will be out of town, and especially out of earshots of the miners. I've got ideas about his backstory, and there are reasons he acts like he does in the tavern. Might even type some of that up and put it in his profile.

Kyle could definitely use some adult supervision at any rate :)

Male Human

And I've typed up the background stuff and added it to Kyle's profile. No reason any of you would know this stuff, nor trust him. It's something he'll have to earn, and, well, vice-versa for him trusting you.

Dead Goblins, Dead Geckos

@Kyle, good stuff, I'll use some of that in the near future. The smith you worked for is Manlin Osgood, and it so happens he is one of the best smiths in the region. His items are are stamped with a distinctive "O" maker's mark.

Male Human

Only nine songs listed on wikipedia for Greyhawk Literature. I chose one that didn't have a stupid sounding name. XD

hps 9/9, AC 17, F +2 R +6 W +2 CMD 12 Init +3 Perc +5 Halfling Bard 1

Wouldn't it be more in character to choose one that did have ...
HEY. Who threw that?

Sorry been AWOL. Who knew they made hotels without internet anymore?

Male Human

XD Maybe if we were still in town.

Dead Goblins, Dead Geckos

When you get a moment can everybody add key stats to their description headers.

For Example: Male Human Class/ level x (AC: x [T:x F: x] [HP: x/x] Fort: +x Ref: +x Will +x Perc: +x Init: +x)

That would save me a lot of time for looking up that type of information.

That's crazy this day and age. Ahh life pre-internet, smart phones, and no cable television. I kind of miss it somedays.

It was a nice break, truth told. Not that I'd want to go another 48 hours unplugged anytime soon.
