I'd like to know how much gold i'm owed and how much i'll get.

Tal, things don't look like they'll get better for me until August when i'm back in England but I can manage the game, my posts may just be a little infrequent out of combat.

I was curious how we were stacking up on wealth for level 6 PCs, which is at ~16,000gp. I was too lazy to count Addie's scrolls.

Once we claim or sell the crown of blasting, the extra longsword, the ring, the unknown wand and the unknown item in the box, it's feeling like we're definitely on par.

Yeah i'm grossly under-geared and owed a lot of money from the pot as i've made no wealth claims. Not keeping the glaive, as i've said before making no claims. Saving up. Though Valeron, you didn't count Morghrim's +1 glaive (Shelyn's Kiss), which adds 2K of enchantment to his wealth.

Ah, I had thought your old glaive was only masterwork for some reason - that makes the new glaive less of a "huge upgrade" and less of a topic for prodding the GM about finding a merchant willing to swap an already-enchanted-glaive for an enchant.

... although it still might be a worthy pursuit to consider...

"Hey Mr. Merchant - here's a +2 glaive, and all I want in return is an enchant on my current +1 glaive..."

No interest in the crown? Searing light is a pretty good option in a fight if there's no melee access for Morghrim... I have a feeling we have a particular weakness when it comes to large rooms with flying adversaries at the moment.

The handy haversack is 2000 gp, so Addie is at ~12,050 gp.

If there's one thing I learned in the Asmodean Knot, it's that Addie is very weak against undead.

I'm good with folks having plenty of magic. Searing Light is one of Valeron's domain spells, so he has no interest in the crown with all these longswords about...

Looks like the glaive is definitely sold, so maybe Morhgrim can buy something nice with that money.

+1 Defending Longsword just moved into the "sell pile", so that gold drops into the party pile to shore people up, too...

What about the unknown magic item inside ivory box?

We essentially need a full loot breakdown. Morghrim's owed quite a lot from the kitty, probably more than we actually have left in GP due to much of the share being very expensive items.

DM do I remember you saying we could get more GP for the glaive with a diplomacy check?

With a diplomacy check made to the right kind of people, yes. Remember the glaive itself is quite fond of Asmodeus worshipers, something not exactly in short supply in Cheliax.

I agree with Kev. I think we might be better off destroying the intelligent glaive - that way it can't be used against us in the future.

How about Addie experiences a radical shift in alignment and becomes a Lawful Evil priestess of Asmodeus. Then she could use the glaive and become the Witch-Queen of Westcrown!

Agree with Kev that we should keep Drowned Jabe and His Miserable Brothers and Sisters and the Asmodean Unholy Symbol, and possibly the intelligent glaive as well in case we ever need to go back into the Asmodean Knot (not sure if we would ever need to go back there, but you never know where an AP is going to take you).

Recommend either Valeron or Addie hold onto the Wand of Cure Serious Wounds, Wand of Restoration, Potion of Lesser Restoration, and Potion of Remove Disease.

You know... I have a sneaking suspicion we'll regret selling the golembane scarab if we end up having to go into an old abandoned pathfinder lodge. It's like module-writer foreshadowing to place an item like that in the treasure.

Kev or Morg really should grab that so their melee attacks can bypass golem DR.

Defending Longsword +1 (worth 8315g, sells for 4157.5g)
Ring of Feather Fall (worth 2000g, sells for 1000g)
Minor Crown of Blasting (worth 6480g, sells for 3240g)
TOTAL: 12,556.5g

We sell:
Ivory box (worth 800g)
120 books (worth 2400g)
Andoren philosophy book (worth 200g)
Illustrated journal (worth 230g)
Libra Malcactum (worth 400g)
TOTAL: 4,030g (if these are considered "Trade Goods" or 2,015 if not?)

GRAND TOTAL: 16,586.5g

Current party member "magic/masterwork" wealth is:
Valeron 12,985g
Addie 12,050g
Kevorin 11,490g
Morghrim 10,235g

(Note: I didn't look at anything beyond high value (magic+masterwork) items in determining this to simplify things)

Subtracting this from the 16,586.5g leaves 11,406.5 left in the party pool which can be split 4-ways (2851.625 each) or used to purchase any joint party resources.

If nothing changed, this would be distribution like:

Valeron 0g +2851.625g = +2851.625g

Addie 935g +2851.625g = +3786.625g

Kevorin 1495g +2851.625g = +4346.625g

Morghrim 2750g +2851.625g = +5601.625g

If we end up selling something for more (or less), we can just split the extra or pay back that amount divided 4 ways? This at least gives us a framework for folks to do any shopping...

We'll need to know how many charges that Rusting Grasp wand has.

But prior to selling that we'll all be practically identical in having 16,000g of "stuff".

To recap, with the +5601.625 and then the +312.5 from the scarab, you should be able to shop as if you have ~6K gold (5,914.125 to be exact).

A couple of comments:

The wand of rusting grasp has 11 charges.

The glaive's value is actually 11,318. The extra 3,000 accounting for the the glaive's intelligence and special abilities.

There's also the possibility that they may need to interrogate this glaive as a prisoner. Asmodean tactics and lore, etc.

Either keep it or send it off to be redeemed. The hit to the loot would hurt, but just selling it to Joe Blow Asmodean in Westcrown would be folly, especially if they bring it back to their headquarters first!!

I agree with Kev. From a metagame standpoint, to me the intelligent glaive just screams "Plot Device". I'd rather it be safe in our hands tnan have it show up with a future enemy - either that, or have it redeemed.

Redemption of the glaive seems like a worthy task for a Shelynite...

I'm not seeing it as a plot device anymore- its just a dangerous intelligent weapon. It sat in a cell with a crazy devil for god knows how long, its unlikely it knows anything relevant (the devil was far, far behind the times).

No interest in it- Morghrim has Shelyn's Kiss. Stop trying to force me to take loot dammit :P. Its a task for another Shelynite ;).

Ok, updated for the wand and the extra value of the glaive.

If the glaive is sold:

Valeron: +4116.625
Addie: +5051.625
Kevorin: +5611.625
Morghrim: +6866.625

If the glaive isn't sold: (-1414.75g each)

Valeron: +2701.875
Addie: +3636.875
Kevorin: +4196.875
Morghrim: +5451.875

If Addie and Kevorin both bring up how evil the glaive is, Valeron would probably agree since he does have a Good alignment. I was intentionally having Valeron be ignorant here, since he could be unaware or distracted from the glaive's true origin by his shiny new sword.

Perhaps Valeron goes and sells everything except the glaive and being a favored weapon of Shelyn he entrusts it to Morghrim to "dispose". If Morghrim comes back with a bag of coins, I'm sure he won't be answering many questions about where they came from...

Possible, but you would have to work out the details of how to send it. Not very many active non-Asmodean temples in Cheliax, and certainly not in Westcrown. Maybe your Pathfinder contact that sent you into the Mayor's home in the first place could help.

I'll be out of contact until the very end of July, due to a trip to Kiev followed by days spent packing up the flat i'm living in here in Ukraine followed by a 3 day bus journey back. Its easier to just declare my absence now rather than try and keep up with things during this busy time. Roll on August!

I'd rather see the Glaive sold or donated somehow (its a lot of treasure share to lose) but ultimately I cede the decision to the three of you, its not fair for me to try and influence things with a 2 week absence.

Valeron is ignorant of any malicious intelligence the thing has, until someone brings it up in the IC thread.
