Eager to fit in with the group, Jawn nods in response to Nim's command. He focuses his gaze on the masked man, watching carefully for signs that he is beginning to cast. Having trouble focusing through the man's defensive illusion and picking out the real foe, Jawn poises himself to cast a spell that will do the sorting out for him.

Ready an action to cast Magic Missile if the masked man starts casting a spell. Damage 5d4 + 5 ⇒ (2, 1, 1, 4, 4) + 5 = 17.

Balani, trusting in the front line fighters to remove the giant obstacle, waits to aim her shots. When the masked man becomes visible again she steps into place and snaps off two shots, hoping to get lucky and hit the man himself but at least eliminating a couple of possible targets to make it easier for the others.

Delay until the troll is down, shooting through a doorway blocked by 3 people/creatures doesn't seem prudent. 5' step to I12 and full attack at 2 different random floaty targets.

The mirror images don't occupy their own squares. They are all in I5 along with the real masked man.


Nim, Summon is a close range spell, your current range is 35'. He is 50' away so you can command them to attack him, they will just have to fly to get to him and one will draw the AOO, he is armed with a Spear.

Balani delays to see what happens with the Troll fight. Nim finishes his summons spell and sends the Stirges at the caster. There are 5 of him. The caster swipes at the stirges as they enter his square.

Wic swings at the undead trolls a number of times, only one lands a solid blow. Wic's claw stings as it strikes the Troll, it skin seems to be made of stone!

Kragnir then steps back and to the side before lining up a perfect strike that takes the troll in the forehead, shattering it from skull to hip bones. The zombie magic failing it as it crumbles to the ground.

Balani sees her opening and fires two arrows, only one hitting one of the dancing masked men.

He steps back cursing Kragnir then firing a black ray at the dwarf. DC 19 Spellcraft to determine he cast Enervation. No saving throw.

Nim, you never said you were delaying until after Kragnir. There was a little posting out of order but we are going to keep things the way they are in order right now. You had no idea Kragnir was going to bull rush and then crit the Troll.
Wic attacked and then Kragnir finished the troll.

Jawn's readied spell goes off as the masked man casts, the Missles strike the man as he releases his spell. As luck would have it for the masked man though he happened to have a defensive spell on him that protected him from this spell and the missiles impact on something before they hit him.

One hits him potentially...1d2 ⇒ 2 but latches onto the image. The other misses him entirely. Wic strikes an invisible barrier around the caster.

Nim has success though. He lands two solid hits, though it feels like Nim is hitting a wall. Two very small cuts appear on the caster.

You are getting the sense that he may have Stoneskin going. Gauging from the strength of his magic you think his protection must be more than Half gone but will still have some left.

The Necromancer, seeking to rid himself of the pesky flying creatures and maybe someone in the group, steps south to J,4 then casts a spell.

Bah, damned summons, he has a bunch of crappy spells. He will change it to Mirror Image from his bonded item and attempt to get by you all.

As the masked man attempts to flee, Wic reaches past the illusions and strikes flesh. Nim just misses, destroying a figment, before Wic again strikes true. The ape then destroys another illusory double with a third swipe. His last strike misses everything.

Mihai posted a channel, but that was before the Masked Man's action retcon. Although he could change his own action, I doubt that he will. There isn't really much for him to do at the moment.

We are just waiting on DM Stephen before we start the next round.


The masked man takes to the air. Swings from Nim and Kragnir destroy images but Wic's fist slams into him. The necromancers defenses hold and another small wound is inflicted. He moves 10' up and 40' towards towards the entrance attempting to flee.

Mihai channels to remove some of the groups wounds.

Nim calls out to Wic to block the passageway and the ape responds dashing forward with supernatural speed. Skirting the pit and making for the narrow entrance hallway, Wic squeezes his bulk into the gap to plug the escape route with his considerable size. (2xMA to I20 and up the wall if necessary to block the hallway, provoking an AoO along the way.)

Nim joins Wic in his dash to head off the masked man (2xMA to I19 or I20) adding his body to the blockade of the narrow defile.

Lets go ahead and keep the action, I know it isn't exactly raw but I don't see how that creates an unfair ruling, especially since you both made the save and still have the passageway blocked.
The ceiling in the hallway is 10' feet you effectively have it blocked though Wic can't really climb. You can step back in the passageway and still have it blocked to the surface.

The necromancer steps back in the air I,14 , casts a spell then fires a Ray at Kragnir.

Save for half 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 8 - 4 = 22 vs DC 16 3 points of STR drain

In desperation the Necromancer uses more evil spells on Kragnir, further sapping his ability to fight. He visibly sags the weight of his armor weighing on him.

A bit of a lul occurs as the groups jockey for better position.

I just realized I have been using 10' as the stirges fly speed instead of 40'. They should have been able to attack in rounds 5 & 6. That is 4 attacks and likely some con damage. :P

Since retconning would be a major pain, can I keep them 2 extra rounds to compensate? :)

Wic continues to block the masked man's escape route, ready to grab him should he approach. (readied action to grapple the masked man should he come within reach.)

Nim moves to Kragnir (MA to F,15) and casts a spell upon him to bolster his failing strength. (SA cast bull's str)
