Thanks for the info.
Easy solution for the time being is to send Devlin and Delfey back to Oleg's with the cart of Xanda.
You'd have time to sort things out in Real Life, Xanda's cart is taken care of, and Devlin is save there for the time you aren't around.I hope everything will work out allright at yours and you find time to join us later again.
Whatever works best for you boss.

Note to all: I will be back in China next week for business (leaving Sunday and back Friday). During that time, it is unlikely I'll be able to post (I'll try, but last time if I wanted hotel internet I had to pay out of my own pocket - not gonna happen; I'm cheap). Please NPC me as needed.

I think some of you are still using Playtest rules for APG content, please update that to final APG rules.
Ultimate Magic and Ultimate Combat playtest rules are mostly fine, but let me know beforehand, I still want to decide that on a case by case basis.
Anything I forgot to mention?

See, I thought I finished to write that sentence. I really did.
I had something else planned first, but decided against it, started writing that, and must have gotten distracted.
I'm thinking you are to blame, Peebo.
Now, here's the full statement:
Hit points:
normal rolls, natural 1's are rerolled once.

I'm sorry for not being online the last couple of days.
I'm a bit out of whack, but for no apparent reason.
I will try to post an update tomorrow, but I don't know if I get to it.
I'm sorry.
I have another question though:
How are you thinking of the PBP thus far?
I know, there was the situation with different interests in gameplay, that's probably still not been taken care of.
I think to sense some of you losing interest in the game, I can't really tell though.

I'm a little confused, but how did the centipede attack twice? First Kardok and then me?
The attack on Kardok was an AoO (for moving from a threatened square)(the centipede has reach).
You (and Queslin) would have provoked one as well, but the centipede only has one per round.I have one hour until I'm headed into a meeting for the rest of the day, so I'm not going to update today.

Ahhh ... I see. For some reason, I always neglect to consider AoOs.

(I just noticed this post now.)
So far I think the game's going okay, but it's a bit slow. I started an Age of Worms game around the same time and we're level 4 now (and close to finishing Three Faces of Evil, I think), whereas we're approaching level 2 in Kingmaker. I have no idea how much of the first module we've completed so far; maybe half?
I'd try to speed things up, but Big Ern thinks crawling around underground is a dumb idea so he's content to follow everyone else and say "I told you so". :-) As a play-by-post player, I'm not crazy about fighting 5' wide corridors, either; I prefer wider spaces where everyone can act at once. I also think that it might have speeded things up a bit if we played through some of the "Big Ern and Agerron split up" stuff simultaneously with the rest of the party's actions. Just my two cents.

Yeah, it is slow, but I'm unsure how to speed it up without taking away your time to react to situations.
It's not even half of the first module so far.We haven't had 5' wide corridors thus far (IIRC) but an underground lair is a confined space, and there's not much I can do about it without changing the encounter significantly.
As for the splitting: yeah, it was a drag. I'm sorry. But I wanted to keep each team on roughly the same place in time.
It would have been hard for me to keep track of the timing with one team playing out a fight (that takes about a minute intime but about a week of real time), and the other team just walking the plains (taking 5 minutes of real time but 2 days intime).
And I didn't want to run two encounters simultaneously.
I doubt there is a perfect solution there, but the one I took seemed (to me at least) like the best.
Splitting the party is difficult even in a reallife-group.

Majet should be able to target one of the rear squares of the centipede, couldn't she?
This one's not covered by the rules, but I'd say no here:
The ceiling is low, so she can't throw the bomb over Queslin and Agerron. And throwing in between the two would have them be in the splash damage.
DM Sothal |
Glad to hear you coming back. I guess it will be some time until that happens though.
Anyway, welcome back.
Regarding the game: I miss hearing from Branomonrik (Seeker of Shadowlight) and Michael (All DMs are evil). I will contact them in Seeker's game I'm in, so as to get them back in or hear if they drop out.
They both have been infrequent there too, so I hope for the former.
So long...

Yeah, sorry I have had some issues, I had had hopped to be back to normal by now but..machines hate me. I have spent all week under a car for the most part.
I Should be done today, but regardless I'll get something up tonight man, sorry for the massive lag.
DM Sothal |
Let's see... You were about 20 miles from Oleg's, close to two days ago.
You are travelling with the cart from Xanda, which brings your speed to a massive 20ft. per round, which translate to 16 miles per 8 hours if there where a road.
You are travelling through trackless forests, hills and plains, but are in knowledge of your surroundings (having already explored those hexes), so that brings your speed to 12 miles per 8 hours.
So, yeah, you already arrived back at Oleg's. I'm creating a post on that shortly, while waiting for (at least) Seeker's post.
Michael seems missing though, so I'm taking him up for now, once Seeker posted.

Sorry for my continued absence, home life has not got any easier. Our little boy only cat naps for 15 minutes at a time so sleep is a luxury.
I have been trying to catch up on the reading when I get chance, but I am woefully behind.
It might be best to either write Michael out or park him some where safe (I trust what ever you decide is best).
Hopefully when we see the doctor again on Thursday they might have some answers so we can start getting a life again.

Sorry guys have had issues, my water heater died and they never go easy. So it kinda flooded the house, not knowing it was busted for near 20 hours and all before I came home. I have been super busy the last few days messing with cleanup and repairing damage I'll try and get something up tonight or tomorrowish if at all possible.

Oh boy, machines really hate you.
My own 'puter caught a worm or something, anti-virus didn't catch it, and it damaged the MBR. Had to install a new harddrive and set up windows and install all programs. Lucky I had all data on USB-sticks and external harddrives and such, but cost me some hours.

Well, that fight is finally done and dealt with. I'm sorry it took so long.
Everyone present gains 565XP and some (I updated the values in the DM-Profile), and now would be the time to level up.
Devlin is a bit behind the progress due to not being in the big fight, but I'll device something for you there.
Michael is missing, I took him over in the fight, and will pull him back to Oleg's for savekeeping until he's able to join us again, if he so wishes. I won't look for a replacement for now, we have a big enough party as it is.
Dax Thura |
The party is indeed big enough.
Ding!

Also, as per this post from Oct of last year:
Okay, group on horses, except for Taras and Delfey. Makes for a groups speed of 30.
Whoever takes up the task of cartographer gets one free bonus skill point in both Craft (mapmaking) and Knowledge (geography).
(meaning: if you don't already have a skill-point in it, you then have 1 point and can use it untrained, but don't get the 3 bonus skill points if it's a class skill. You can spend one skill point at next level up to net those 3 points though.)Any last minute purchases?
I got one vote for starting hex, which was NW, so I'm going to assume you all 'follow' Devlin.
I'm putting ranks in craft: cartography. I presume that if someone else ekes out the skill point, DM Sothal would give the bonus to each of us.
