You can read mine! I'm trying to figure out how best to respond to what was written for Thirzin. Want to see Thirzin mad? This is how you get Thirzin mad!

Thank you, I just hope you know that I'm only beginning to send things downhill. The past part of this book is going to be pretty heavy, so I've got a little ridiculous side thing between books 1 and 2. Also, I'm planning on a few changes to the first part of book 2 since we seem to have a surplus of lovely ladies present. (The book assumes 1 by default, and we have 4.)
Horatio A Aldebrandt |
And you need to account for the gorgeous man in the party as well, right? ;-) *preens*
Oh quiet, I'm just trying to have a bit of fun.
Only just beginning?? Oh man. I'm suddenly very, very afraid... But, if I didn't consent to you tormenting my characters, I wouldn't have given you ammo. Poor Neile...

You may have seen Noro mad before.
but with what is happening now, those previous situations were child's play. (to bad mechanically barbarians don't get extra bonuses for being extra angry).

Honestly, I also thought about having you guys come up with your worst nightmares, but I think I got pretty close.
Oh, and start thinking about what you are going to do for level 4. that's coming up soon.

You're stabbing our sensitive spots and twisting the knife. I'd say that's pretty close...
You don't happen to be some kind of nightmare psycologist, are you?

Nope, just a guy with many interests and degree in Comp Sci. :)
Though I do like to write, so maybe that's influencing my GMing.

Bring it on, Salsa. Bring. It. On.

Hmm, should I have a spider swarm waiting after this? Or perhaps three of them? Yeah, a few fiendish spider swarms with DR 5 That should do the trick.

That's implied with them being spiders. ;)

Okay, when I get the time I am totally writing a 'Spoonybane' template. It'll be one of the stupidest things I've ever done.
And sorry in advance for dooming us all. GM, what kind of damage would fingernails do to oneself? I imagine Spoony keeps himself pretty well-manicured since he's such a fop; maybe 1d3 piercing/slashing plus half strength modifier? Distraction effect from the sensation of tiny spiders under your skin? Shaken? Sickened? Please prevent me from talking anymore.

and before Spoony can say anymore, Noro kisses him.
DM-Salsa |
Well, that would be one way of getting Horatio to shut up. I imagine another would be having her dress up as a schoolgirl and shouting, "Notice me Senpai!"
I won't mention the third since I don't think even a GM can survive Noro's fury.
It involves all of the ladies above four feet tall, removal of clothing, and things that would not be out of place in an ecchi anime.
Horatio A Aldebrandt |
"For the record, I'm partial to the third option."
Serious about the Spoonybane template, btw. I get the feeling if I don't do it, Salsa will anyway.

Yeah...And this is where Thirzin hands Olives a pipe and they just watch the mess Spoony gets himself into.
I have to admit, Thirzin is going to go apeshit when he meets the one(s) giving him these nightmares/daymares.

Isn't it a prerequisite for taking levels in bard? Being a complete perv/playboy/whatever? :P

Honestly, I'm not sure if it's me or Horatio that's in the most trouble here.
Olivius_Telraven |
I really want that Cyclops ability to auto-crit once a day...
But ya. Either we are going to rampage all over this BBEG or we are all going to roll ones and we are going to die having Lamashtu's babies or something.
DM-Salsa |
You guys can't die. I have too many things hinging on your characters!

It's Spoony. It's always Spoony.

So we're safe? Sweet.
We've survived worse! That was my S&S group (on here) motto.
Was that one of the S&S games where I played a character who has a tendency to get us all in trouble? Was it the gunslinger who runs her mouth, or the warlord who just charged right in? :P
AdamWarnock |
So, I've gotten an itch to run a game that's kind of a mashup of Firefly and the Roaring Twenties. I've posted an interest check here: http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2t56c?Tentative-interest-check-for-a-Spacey-Fat e-game
Also, if any of you fancy torturing my character for a change, a RotRL game I'm in is looking for a GM. You can learn more here: http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2t4zc?Rise-of-the-Runelords-game-in-the-middle- of#11

Nope, although that one is great! I was more thinking

That game sounds awesomely fun, but I have never played FATE. :(
My GMing is pretty taken up with PFS right now, sadly. Got my second star the other night!

The mechanics are dead simple, the hard parts coming up with Aspects and Stunts.
That said, holy cow! I would have loved to be a fly on the wall for that session! That sounds like one heck of a bar brawl.
Note to self. Have bar brawl at some point in book two.

So, it's coming into summer here in South Australia, and that means it's fire season. We've had several Catastrophic danger levels this month. (The scale is Low - Moderate - High - Very High - Severe - Extreme - Catastrophic, because Australia does not f++& around.)
Today, we had a fire start out near my place of employment, which is in a rural area. Even though the wind was blowing away from us, we evacuated the whole site just to play it safe. And because it's a primary school, that resulted in 350 terrified kids and stressed teachers being kept indoors and taking drink and toilet breaks in pairs, while every member of leadership and support staff rang the parents of every child to evacuate them. I'm home now, and all the main roads near me have been closed off. I'm safe, but shaken, and it's made me realize that there may well come a time when I'm affected by a fire and won't be able to get online and let everyone know. If that happens, I'll try to get a real-life friend with a Paizo account to spread the word.
For now, though...

DM-Salsa |
Yikes. That is scary. I'm glad to hear you are doing alright despite the circumstances. I live where it's wet and humid in the summer, so I have no idea what that must be like.
*Gives Ronnie Hugs.*
Horatio A Aldebrandt |
Scary is what it is. Temperatures can top 45 degrees Celsius (over 110 Fahrenheit), and it's dry as a bone. Throw in some strong winds and you've got a perfect spot for a bushfire to start. Early this year we had the Sampson Flat fire, which I could see from the church where my mother was getting married. It's just a part of life - and the sad thing is, so many of these fires are the fault of arsonists. Thankfully, people in fire-prone areas tend to have bushfire action plans ready.
DM-Salsa |
Why would you do something that stupid? Accidentally setting a fire is one thing. Mistakes happen, but setting a fire intentionally? Especially when you could wind up killing a bunch of people?
I just don't get that.
Horatio A Aldebrandt |
Dumb kids who think it'll be funny and don't realize how quickly they can spread out of control? It makes my blood boil. Very few things in this world make me see red the way that does, because it's affected people I love. The SF fire, my uncle and aunt had to evacuate. They put the dogs in the car, opened the aviary, and cut the fence on the horse paddock, because there was no time to get the horse trailer hooked up. They just had to grab and go.
So when I hear about people deliberately starting fires, it sets me off. You know when you're really angry and you see that red mist? Yeah.
On another note, I've been trying for an hour to get a gameplay post in. This is intense. I'm a lady, and I feel like I've been kicked in the balls!
DM-Salsa |
Well, at least Nic's only getting embarrassed, and has a way to get back at the GM by proxy.;)
And yeah, that post took me a while to do. I had to take a break and come back otherwise I would have just not done it.
Horatio A Aldebrandt |
Nah. Nic's pretty shameless. She's probably shown more while intoxicated. Though I imagined her being curvier than Ally, so she may be in that predicament a while yet :P Also, I guess the party now knows she's a natural redhead.
Spoony, though. Wow. This is harrowing, to say the least. Trying to figure out juuuuuuust what to do.
DM-Salsa |
Okay, maybe out of spite then. :P
Sure, Allysen's a priestess of the Lucky Drunk, but honestly this kind of thing seems to be something he might set up just for a laugh.
