Everyone is sick at the house and I'm really busy on top of that at the moment. I need to take a week or so to right the ship.
Salsa could to bot Vigny as needed for a few days?

I've got the itch to run something, and run something I shall!
Can you solve the mystery behind the murders in Black Barrow before it's too late?
I've not settled on a deadline for applications yet. I have enjoyed playing with all of you and and I hope that you guys are interested. The plan is to keep it short, so the time investment shouldn't be that much in PBP terms.
Also, to those of you who are in multiple games with me, I apologize for the number of times you're about to see this.

Thanks for the invite Adam - alas I'll pass on this occasion as my dance card is almost full and the next game I've a hankering for is something in Starfinder's theatre of space...
Looks an interesting one tho - enjoy :)

Completely understand. I just wanted to run something short and this is what I came up with.

@Jerukh- for future reference...
Drawing the components of, creating, and throwing a bomb requires a standard action that provokes an attack of opportunity.
So, you don't have to spend a move action drawing the bomb- drawing it is part of the same standard action that includes charging and throwing it.

Totally smashed my finger at work today. So, I'm having a nice whiskey to warm me up and make me feel like life still has little rewards. Bobbie told me its not cool to post pictures of drinks on facebook, so I'm just gonna tell you guys.
To the little comforts Cheers!

So...this is probably a bit out of the blue, but conversation in a different game led me to write the following and I thought it deserved being posted here, too.
Oh I know! Maybe it's just me but I feel like if you (or anyone) takes the time to say something then you should get some sort of a response. It's obviously something I try to do in the games I play/GM, just like you do, but I think it's important to do it in OOC too. Now I mean, depending on what the topic is I might not be able to say much or offer anything more than a 'That sucks' or 'I don't know, sorry' but I've always thought that even an answer in the negative is better than deafening silence. In some ways I think it's even more important to do online than out in the real world because when you're online it's easy to forget that the other people you're interacting with are, well, real people. Maybe they've had a good day but maybe they've had a bad day and then having a question ignored or an RP post get little to no acknowledgement...it's always made me feel discouraged, so I'm sure I can't be the only person who feels that way.
I'm probably rambling a bit because I worked last night and haven't gone to bed yet but this sort of thing has been on my mind a lot since the GM who'd been running a homebrew Walking Dead-style game on the forums dropped off the face of the Earth right after Thanksgiving. This was a game that had been running pretty steadily for the last 3+ years with 4 of the 6 players having been involved in the game from the start, including myself. Our 4-year anniversary for that game would've been this month. Nearly 4 years playing together and she vanished without a trace and it hit me that I never even learned her real name or anything about her much, beyond the fact that she's from the Australia/New Zealand area of the world. There's no way for me to find out what happened to her or if she's okay...and that makes me very sad and it's also a shame.
So...same as Nidhi, my PM box is always open if anyone here ever feels the need to vent or talk. A couple of you already know how to get in touch with me outside of the forums but I'm also on Google Hangouts, Facebook, and email is a thing too. I use all of those options to touch base with people that I play with on the forums. And even if you prefer to maintain your privacy - which I DO understand, my husband is an extremely private person while I find it much easier to be confident and outgoing online - then just remember that you're all more to me than just sometimes serious, sometimes silly, words on a screen. You're all real to me, you all exist, and I do think about you guys - and lots of others - outside of the games we play here.
It's kind of a sappy, 'I love you guyyyyys' thing except without the alcohol? :)
Apologies to some of you who'll see this across multiple games!

Thanks for the post Lady. That is very sad about your game. I do agree there is a kind of weird, fragmented aspect to how people know each other on the boards here. When someone ghosts, whether intentionally or not, it suddenly makes everything here seem very fragile.
I don't know if any of you are players in Storyteller Shadow's games, but something happened recently that made me start thinking about these things, but from the other end. He had to shut down a number of games for personal reasons, but he handled it incredibly well. He made sure to contact everyone, tell them what was up, and put things in order. It seemed to me a great recognition that there are people behind the avatars. (And by the way Nate, Divine RotRL Table 2 survived the shutdowns and continues to chug on.)
I do understand why most people prefer to keep a great deal of anonymity. There are good reasons for it of course, but it does have downsides as well. I for one am more or less neutral on the subject. I don't care about the privacy, but I don't tend to do much to build bonds here either. Mostly laziness I suppose.
That said, I'm certainly happy to be in contact with people here outside the boards. If anyone wants to talk or needs something don't hesitate to get in touch. I'm not much of a facebook user anymore but I'm probably the only Rick Knight in Portland, Oregon. More reliably my email address is rdknight8@gmail.com

Glad to hear table 2 is alive and well! I'm in another one his games that he decided to keep going (although it's so slow moving you almost can't tell).
I've posted this elsewhere but for any who didn't see it: for someone who just uses their real name for their forum presence, I'm surprisingly hesitant to connect with people in other online venues, but my inbox is always open if you ever need to vent or anything!
On an unrelated note- are we waiting on a GM post, or should we start posting our next round of actions? I don't remember when the guy/thing acts...

I'm sorry for the posting delays everyone. My job occasionally requires me to appear in court. The prep for that, along with the time spent being there, adds up to a very big chunk of time. It's about the only time I have to take work home with me.
I had to go at the end of this week, and now I'm sick with a fever. Hopefully I'll be getting back to normal tomorrow, but today I'm just sleeping.
Go ahead and bot me as needed of course.
DM-Salsa |
Oh no. I hope you do get to feeling better and I hope the court appearance goes smoothly for you.
Vigny Olafursdottir |
Thanks, back to normal.
My post probably sounded more dramatic than it was meant to. I work for the Department of Human Services and every now and then I have to go to family court to give evidence for a hearing.
DM-Salsa |
No worries. We're still missing two others, so I wouldn't worry about delaying the game too much.
Vigny Olafursdottir |
Alright, I see what's up now. Movement requires switching maps. Don't know why it took so long for me to figure that out.
So yeah, that much movement and an attack would certainly require using a hero point. I should probably use one anyway since I have yet and we can only bank 3 right? I believe I should have three. We started with 1 and get 1 per level right? If so that leaves me with 2.
DM-Salsa |
Yeah, but you're already on the balcony, so you should be able to get at the baddie without trouble.
DM-Salsa |
Sorry for my absence. Work and my sister's birthday have eaten most of the past two days. This is the first chance I've had to post since Monday.
DM-Salsa |
No post tonight. Will have one up tomorrow. Sorry about that.
Soliana of the Rose |
Hey folks, just a note that I'll be heading out of town later today for a work training trip and won't be back until late on Friday the 20th. I'll have my laptop but the amount of free time I'll have to use it after today (Sunday) is uncertain so please go ahead and bot Soli as needed; if I have enough time to check in and post I will but otherwise I'll catch up when I get home.
Oh and if I do end up with some free time my first posting priority will be to my GMed games so if you see posts from GM Ladile elsewhere but none here that'll be why. Hopefully that'll avoid any 'I SEE U POSTIN' Y U NO POST FOR <X> GAME!?!?' confusion :P
DM-Salsa |
Thanks for the heads up. Given how slow I've been, I doubt Soli will have to be botted much.
Jerukh Hörnungr |
Morning folks - also to add to the sojourns - I'm heading down to Glasgow to catch a gig, so won't likely post again before tomorrow afternoon when I'm back home.
If necessary bot Jerukh as well :)
Cheers

FYI All - am heading off for the weekend (pit crewing for a bike racing mate of mine). Will be gone from this evening until Sunday evening w/ minimal chance to post.
Please bot me as required. Normal service'll resume late Sun/early Mon.
Cheers
BD
DM-Salsa |
No worries.
I have to say. I love that Soli can't speak at the moment. I do hope that y'all are enjoying yourselves as much as I am with this.
Soliana of the Rose |
Wait, so some of the group keeps forgetting Soli can't talk and Emi hasn't picked up on it at all? That's hilarious but I can see how someone could draw the conclusion that Soli's just trying to be super-stealthy or is still unnerved by the thing from earlier talking with her voice or whatever :)
DM-Salsa |
Sorry, no post tonight. I clocked out at midnight and I gotta be at work by 8.
Don't worry though, something's going to happen. >:D

That was not how I was intending that to go, but well done Jerukh! I hadn't thought about the possibility, and I wanted to reward some clever thinking.
