Okay, that is just funny. You might wanna turn autocorrect off when you're posting here. :)
DM-Salsa |
The goblins attack Alruc, with more fear in their screams than anger. Krosk, witnessing the spectacle, seems to be enjoying himself.
"Oh yes! this is what Krosk has been wantings!"
Gob 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Gob 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
DM-Salsa |
Alruc rams the point of his rapier through the wretched thing's eye and out the back of its skull. The goblin drops its weapon in surprise before holding the rapier and running his impaled skull along the blade a couple of times before it seems to realize it's now dead.
His companion just stands there, a puddle of urine and a pile of something best left unmentioned gathering under him.
"Uh, fr-friendsies?"
Alruc Mordred |
Alruc looks at the pitiful goblin before him, backhanding him contemptuously before sheathing his blade and glaring at the "king" goblin.
"So, now is when you release the humans." he grits through his tusks.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17 to hit gauntlet for 1d3 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 bludgeoning damage
DM-Salsa |
The last goblin is laid out cold by Alruc's blow. Krosk is about to reply when a goblin in a too large helmet comes running in.
"My King! The Prisoners," he shouts frantically. "Th-they're gone!"
Krosk stands there, dumbfounded.
"Uh, gone? How is they gone?"
"They just vanished! Poof!"
The goblin king turns slowly to regard the party, a wicked smile slowly spreading across his face.
"Well, Krosk can do this easy or do this hard," he says teasingly. "Which does longshanks want?"
Bruno Bullrush |
I would kinda like to know which one entails what, but I have a feeling you're not about to say...
readied action to bean him in the head with a rock the instant he orders or does anything combative: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (1, 2) + 6 = 9
Anna Tov |
Anna puts her hands on her hips (conveniently next to where her short swords are sheathed), but the time for words seems to be over.
DM-Salsa |
"Oh, but Krosk will say! Both involve Krosk!"
The goblin king shucks off his robe with a single movement, leaving behind a rather impressively muscled goblin in nothing but a loincloth.
"Krosk can make sweet luv-- eep!" Krosk squeaks as his hands go for his groin a rock plopping on the dirt. "You hit Krosk in goblies!"
Krosk then falls to the ground twitching.
The other goblins all turn as one to the adventurers, jaws wide in disbelief at Bruno, who is still in a pose straight from his Rock-It Tag days. Krosk, meanwhile, lays on the ground, twitching and frothing at the mouth.
Roll initiative and state your surprise round actions. :)
Bruno Bullrush |
I have reduced your king to a pile of gibbering mush in but a single throw! Who dares challenge Bruno Bullrush, new KING of the Gug'lurch Tribe! Bruno roars like he's in a stadium of thousands. Two more rocks are already in his hands which are spread wide in utter confidence.
intimidate?: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Anna Tov |
Anna may not be very tall, but she's still bigger than a goblin, so she growls threateningly at them in an effort to add weight to Alruc's threats.
Intimidate (Assist): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Can I throw a dagger at someone in the surprise round too?
Jyste Alke'vr |
I am lift the rock bruno threw and float it back into his out stretched hands but remaining hidden. stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Ranged touch if needed to "put" rock in hand --- i'd guess a reflex maybe to see if he can grab it??
ranged touch: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11 I used roll to bludgeon for my ranged touch. Not sure what else would have worked. FEEL free to mod if needed
Caomhnóir |
If Cao sees the rock levitating he will point at it and pour it one as well, See the terrible magics we wield? Even the very rocks we throw return to us from FEAR!
Inimidate: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
DM-Salsa |
The goblins, already not looking forward to a fight with these longshanks run screaming, quickly turning the tent into a pavilion, and running over Jyste in the process. Thankfully, the goblins don't seem to notice, and it isn't long before the camp is deserted and cries of "bad magic" fade into the forest.
Krosk is the only goblin left in camp, but that's more to having passed out from pain than bravery. Every now and then, the goblin twitches.
Three assists on Cao and a pretty good one-liner just ended this before it began. NIcely done.
Anna Tov |
Anna cackles in triumph and pokes Krosk with her toe.
"Should we take him to the city to be arrested? We still have to find the prisoners..."
She starts efficiently emptying his pockets and divesting him of weapons and armor. The best prisoner is an unarmed prisoner!
Caomhnóir |
My dear Bruno, your subjects merely fear you but I assure you, they will come to revere you in time.
The elf rubs his chins at Alruc's words and offers a shrug to Mei, I can't imagine they would do anything but kill him if we brought him back. What do you think?
Anna Tov |
Anna gives in easily. "I suppose you're right, and the guards did charge us to act for them. I'm just used to taking prisoners from my own time as a city guard."
Mei Yonsa |
Mei looks to Cao, Such a thing is a beast even where a I come from. the visions of the tree by the road, and the caravan are still fresh in my mind. A death here and now is justifiable.
Mei starts to head out of the tent picking up the goblin crown and placing it on Bruno's head as she passes by. Your Excellency. she adds mockingly.
DM-Salsa |
Are you guys going to go around the camp for loot? Are you leaving Krosk there?
Jyste Alke'vr |
Be back. I say as i jump until I reach the place I left the girls.
perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Upon finding them I will lead them to edge of camp, explaining in as few words as possible the are safe and my team will escort them back to town.
Caomhnóir |
Cao nods as Mei walks away and shrugs, I can stay here while you all look around. I am fine to take whatever seems worth taking...
DM-Salsa |
After a little while, you've managed to loot the camp and convince the three young women, including the young lady you were sent to save, that you are indeed the good guys. After that, it's back on the trail to the road, and hopefully back to Redwall from there.
Perception checks please. Also, anyone going to talk to the young ladies?
Anna Tov |
Anna slits the king's throat after taking his gear. No point in dragging it out, and he was not a nice man.
She looks up as Jyste comes over. "You found the prisoners! Good job, Jyste. I wondered where they had got to."
She smiles at the girls and introduces the group. "We were sent to find you, and now we'll bring you home safely. The goblins didn't harm you in any way, did they?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 (to befriend the girls and put them at ease)
Before they leave, she scavenges the camp for anything of use.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Alruc Mordred |
"I knew I liked you, Anna." Alruc chuckles a deep baritone laugh and grins over his tusks as she ends the goblin.
"I'd suggest you not eat any of these creatures' supplies. Filthy little buggers, they aren't even fit for food themselves. He holds up a chunk of something rotten and reeking, tossing it away before continuing to loot the place.
"Our principal target still intact? I'd really like that bonus, after all this."
Jyste Alke'vr |
As the group gets situated with the new gear and the "prisoners", I fade back to the rear of the group.
perception: 20 + 4 = 24
Depending on how we use scrolls etc. ... I could use some healing but most is a problem due to my failed addiction checks.
Mei Yonsa |
Mei walks a couple of paces behind the woman they were assigned to rescue. keeping an eye on her as well as the others in the group. as it was promised she be returned "unspoiled"
She does not say much to them rather she seems more like someone employed by the ladies. like a ... bodyguard.
perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Alruc Mordred |
"So do we drag the dead gobbo back with us? Try and get some more cash for a bounty? Or is Miss Princess a big enough payday for us?"
Alruc happily mounts back up once the group is clear of the trees, patting Alrudd on his neck and readying his lance.
"Sooner we're out of this gobbo filth warren, the better."
DM-Salsa |
The three young women shake their heads at Anna's question about being hurt.
"They left us alone, mostly, after pulling us from the carriage and taking everything but our shifts," the eldest of the three says. "I am Lady Loren, and these are my handmaidens, Gretchen and Layla. May I know the names of our rescuers," she asks before her cheeks turn a rosy hue and she meekly crosses her arms over her chest and grabs her upper arms, "and can we trouble you for some clothes the goblins haven't ruined?"
Oh and Jyste, I'm going to need you to actually roll.
Anna Tov |
"Worth a try bringing the goblin king too. Can your mount bear him?" Anna asks Alruc.
She smiles at the girls and rummages in her bags to hand over a few threadbare vests, trying not to feel embarrassed over the shabby state of her attire.
"I'm Anna," she says to them. "Good to hear you're all right." And for more reasons than one... "We'll get you back to town soon, don't worry!"
Alruc Mordred |
"If you mean 'Is Alruud strong enough to bring that carrion along?' Then yes, he is plenty strong. I would not sully him with gobbos filth any more than I would eat the bastard myself. I'll make it work."
Alruc takes a length of rope and fashions a slip knot. Securing that to the goblin 'king's' leg, he wraps the other end loosely around the pommel of him saddle.
"I will ride at the rear. No sense getting any of the rest of you dirty as well."
