"Beaten by a bird in history class. That's a bummer." Lynn grabs her glaive and takes the lead for the way upstairs. She buffs herself and activates her blessing as well as the special gargoyle ability from her weapon.
SteelGate climbs towards the front as well.
"Once we are up the stairs I can make one of you larger again." Tink suggests
Iko falls in line behind Lynn, Don and Steelgate as they go up the stairs.
A Large Minotaur greets Lynn as she crests the top of the stairs, its large polished axe swings in a downwards arc Taking Lynn at the shoulder and denting her armor as it pulls down her body.
"At least you waste no time with talking." Lynn tells as she gets hit with the axe and retaliates with her glaive.
Lynn draws first blood on the Minotaur, the beast smiles and shakes its head blood red eyes fixed on Lynn.
Don starts trying to move up when Steelgate moves.
As Don tries to sneak by the Minotaur lashes out at him.
The now bloody axe takes more from Don this time.
Azrael lodges an arrow deep into Great Beast.
The Minotaur having lots of choices chooses to attack both Lynn and Don.
Don 5' up and attacks the beast
Don's hammer brings the creature to it's knees, the follow through on the blow snaps the neck of the Minotaur with a sickening crunch. Blood flow freely from Don, Lynn and the now dead Minotaur.
My spleen!
Lynn moves past the now dead creature and tries to open the door it was guarding.
The door opens, across the way Lynn can see the back of a woman. In front of the woman about 20 feet away are 2 Humanoids dressed in worn field plate, their shields are out and held in the ready position, flails spinning in the other hand.
"I see you killed Deardnu, I am almost complete the ritual here, Left and Right here will take care of you for me." The woman points a finger at Lynn, making a sound that Lynn heard once before when Faxon cursed her.
Bestow Curse
Argghh! I have to put my insides back in first. Don quaffs a CSW potion
Lynn shakes off the attempt to curse her. With her glaive in one hand to keep her hardened skin she moves past the tieflings and draws her mace for the fight in this narrow space. But her swing goes wide. "Steelgate! Come over and help me to corner that witch!"
Iko charges right up the stairs and right at the one tiefling and of course...you guessed it... sweeps the leg!
Iko Drops the guard flat on it's back. The Second guard nods at Iko and swings the flail in it's had at Iko's legs.
Missing completely, The Tiefling on the floor gets up and swings at Iko.
"You'd better stay down." Lynn tells the tiefling.
Lynn Smashes the Tiefling as it gets back up.
"Deskari grant me your Destruction to visit upon this vile woman." The woman reaches out with blackened sickening hands to touch Lynn.
As the bone covered gal starts praying to her evil lord Lynn swings her mace at her. "There is a long row of dead Deskari-Fanboys who prayed that way. They all got to meet Deskari sooner as they thought."
But Lynn can't make use of the opportunity. "Deskari isn't strong in you i guess." she teases the gal for the puny wound she caused her.
"Shorltly." Is SteelGate's grated reply to Lynn as he moves in and attacks one of the tieflings.
Iko attacks his opponent as he tries to stand.
Then goes into a series of attacks at the opponent again, the magical temple sword named Radiance a blur of steel.
SteelGate misses the Tiefling as it swings but misses Lynn, Azrael slides forward but stubs his foot on the dead Minotaur launching his first arrow into the door frame. His second attack lands solidly into the shoulder of the Armored Tiefling.
Iko's attack when the Tiefling is standing up is deflected by the armor but the opening caused from the Arrow is enough for Iko's snake like blade to drop the Tiefling to the ground.
The Tiefling spins up his flail and swings at Lynn.
The Half-Elf woman sneers at Lynn, calling upon her dark Power again.
As the wounds become more serious, Lynn heals herself to make sure she is not dropped with a lucky hit from the evil lady.
Stepping to the side she drops the glaive and swings with her mace with both hands at the soon to be dead caster.
SteelGate rotates around the room and attacks the woman.
SteelGate's blow connects and his heavy fists connect into the armored tiefling .
SteelGate slams his left arm into the standing Tiefling and his right into the downed Tiefling killing it. Azrael's first arrow lands with a telling blow into the Tiefling, his second arrow is deflected by the the Tieflings shield.
Iko continues his dance of death, hooking his right heel under the left knee of the remaining Tiefling.
The Tiefling crashes again to the ground, Iko follows up with his sword.
Iko leaves the Tiefling bleeding out on the ground.
The woman backs up, hissing as her last guard bleeds to death on the ground. She raises her holy symbol in the air a sickening green beam leaves the holy symbol and touches Lynn.
"Oh the humanity. Why can't you just die and save us all the hassle." Lynn curses. She picks up her glaive, and adds a bad gash to the witch.
Don is alte to the party but runs up anyway
Both of Azraels arrows miss the woman, the first hitting the cage around the Ward Stone Fragment and going wide, the second sliding off the door frame and skittering along the floor.
SteelGate steps up behind the woman and tries to crush her.
The Woman is slammed By SteelGate's metallic fists and then Gashed by Lynn's Gliave, dripping blood and spitting froth she smiles up at Lynn.
"There are greater powers than mine, more Demons than you can kill. Areelu Vorlesh will be here soon."
Areelu Vorlesh is the woman who opened the world wound.
"We'll see how many demons I can kill. I'll work up through their ranks and in the end I'll kill that Areelu and the Storm King and every other evil the abyss spits out." Lynn states, staring daggers at the witch.
