Finger and Pothead enter the northern tower and begin climbing the ladder within.

Above, Miaka and Amon fight the enemy goblins. Miaka has trouble finding an opening, but when the Groveler tackles the shaman Amon capitalizes on the move and slays her with one stroke. The other two goblins grab their heads in dismay as their leader falls, but are too dumb to surrender and quickly jump on Amon with their swords.

Thael, there was a door, but the goblins opened it for us. They didn't have the movement left to go inside, though.

Miaka and Amon take down one goblin and severely injure the other atop the northern tower.

The trapdoor was 50' high, right? Do we need a climb check to move half-speed up the ladder? I didn't see a DC for climbing a ladder, so presumably it's pretty low.

Climbing the ladder doesn't require a check when moving normal speed. At normal speed Marco reaches the top this round (since he climbed a little the round before. FYI - accelerated climbing is a DC of 5.

Thael, Daze has a range of 30' for you, so you'd need to climb at least once to get close enough to target a goblin. I'll assume you do that.

Chuffy's face drops into a pout at Amon's words, but he hands over the small shortsword.

Marco climbs to the top of the ladder. Thael ascends a short way and gestures at a goblin, but somehow the little creature resists his spell.

The goblins drop their bows and draw shortswords, one of them stabbing Marco as he reaches the top.

Lizardhood is healed completely by the potion given him. Getting to his feet he gives a delayed victory cry and smashes the empty vial.

You continue south, and though you soon loose sight of the towers the smoke from one lingers in the air above, a stark contest against the sky.

While bragging about their bravery in the "Battle of the Two Towers" the Frostfur Captives explain that they are from a different tribe then those "Icetooth" goblins you fought. Though none remembers exactly why they hate each other they all agree that a long history of theft and backstabbing has made them mortal enemies.

With the rough hills now far to the north, the land opens into a broad grassland where the snow is much sparser. The sky is overcast and the temperature has risen, making the march south somewhat easier. For as far as the eye can see, there is nothing but open ground and great fir trees that dot the landscape.

Survival DC 15:

Though the weather seems good you know that an overcast sky with rising temperatures means a snowstorm is coming. You should set up camp soon and prepare for a cold night.
