Ayaki swings his sword again, cleaving a chunk from the skull he faces, but the thing still clings to unlife.

With the help of Maddie's magic Pai slips free from the grip of the skull on her. Their CMD is less then their AC ;)

Barlor claws and bites, but can't seem to land a solid blow.

Pai still has her regular actions for the round. László, Turg, and the mites are also up!

    The vapor obscures all sight, including darkvision , beyond 5 feet. A creature 5 feet away has concealment (attacks have a 20% miss chance). Creatures farther away have total concealment (50% miss chance, and the attacker cannot use sight to locate the target).

    László chips a piece out of the skull, nearly skewering it, then Bearlor finally manages to get a claw on the thing and bring it close into his grip. Cracks and splinters cover the skull, but it is not quite dead yet.

    "Yes, those were particularly nasty creatures," Maddie says in agreement with Pai, "My ability to channel is beginning to ebb for the day, but I would be happy to use my healing wand on anyone that needs it. If you're extraordinarily injured, I'll cast a spell."

    After making her offer, she uses her healing wand on herself.

    Pai nods at Maddie. She didn't want to be a burden, so she pulled her own wand. She hated that wand for the way it made her feel. She took a deep breath and activated it twice as she squinted her eyes from the discomfort.

    Used two charges from wand of Infernal healing. After two minutes Pai will be a full HP.

    Ayaki looks for some stones to swallow to aid in digestion, having lost the previous ones.

    "Those things were viscious." Rozimus says, looking at the remains of the skulls. "I don't see how my companions might have gotten past them, unless they ran very fast through that door."

    After healing, the group moves through the next door...

    Two stories of tightly packed bookshelves line the western half of this musty chamber, and a massive mural map of what must be the Inner Sea region from eons ago adorns the east wall. An enormous skeleton of a huge, twelve-legged reptile clutters the center of the room.

    On the balcony above, two creatures, one in robes and the other large and bulky, looks down with eyes that seem to glint in the dim light. Both carry weapons unsheathed.

    These appear to be cairn wights, undead creatures that drain life.

    Cairn wights drain energy with a touch.
