How long are you gonna keep this open? A couple of days maybe?

Am I right when I check group B that you have the following classes?:
An ex-paladin 1 / cavalier 2
An oracle 1 / paladin 2
A ranger 3
A wizard 3

If so, it would seem a Skald would be an excellent fit, and I've long wanted to play one :) They have access to healing, especially if they get a wand. Would you allow that?

Hi. I am the party wizard. In truth we have a good healer. He just got taken down in the last fight and we had no other way to heal - we are fixing that now. :) I'd say we need someone that can do damage, or help the group do damage. A skald or inquisitor both might fit. Of course the wizard is never gonna accept rage…

We really have no range focused character. We do have two/three melee types.

While I planned to be a melee skald, I see no reason why I couldn't be a ranged combatant. It might be / probably is a more potent build in the long run. And the wizard might just find that the rage is a huge boon, even for him ^^ bonuses to Con and Will saves at the cost of some AC and skill usage ;).

Seeing how you have a healer, I've got this guy: Morgrym. But he is melee.

Not sure if ranged is a must have or not. If so, then no worries.

Submitting my Purifier Oracle.

I will keep this open through Friday, 1/30. I will then have the current group vote on who they'd like in the party the best.

I have to vote for the bard as well, both for what they offer the party and for posting history.

Making decisions now folks! Stay tuned.

But you don't have a rogue or monk!

Still got an eye out.

Looks like we went with Aakon Huldraborn, the skald.

Please report to the Discussion page Aakon, I have a PM I'm going to send you about how to introduce yourself to the story.

Opening recruitment for 1 more. We are just starting book 2, at level 4 and mythic tier 1. Group is looking for a rogue or ranger type.

Please refer to the first page of recruitment for the guidelines.

How about a Ranger/Paladin?

When you say "Rogue or Ranger" type do you mean more like a skirmisher/scout type?

Lantern Lodge

Is ACG an option even though it wasn't part of original recruiting?

Pathfinder Adventure, Lost Omens, Rulebook, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Looks to me like you guys have 1 Arcane, 1 Ranged, 1 Melee, and 1 Ranged/Melee Hybrid. Any preferences on what this scout-ish character falls in that range?

Is Inner Sea World Guide material available?

Does anyone offer the party a morale bonus on attack and damage rolls laready?

Are Unchained rogues allowed?

I am allowing ACG, as it is freely available on Paizo's PRD.

I do not have ISG and thus, don't allow it.

I also do not have Unchained and do not allow it.

I'll get one or two of the players to chime in on what they are looking for.

Pathfinder Adventure, Lost Omens, Rulebook, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Good to know, thanks.

For what it's worth, Unchained content, as well as the ISWG content I'm interested in, are both available on Archives of Nethys and d20pfsrd. I recognize that may not change your mind, but thought I would share it all the same.

This is the feat I was interested in from ISWG: Flagbearer and Focused Discipline.

All the same, thanks for the info. I have a rough draft put together at this point. How long do I have to polish it before I need to submit? This Mythic stuff adds a lot of tough choices to character creation.

Anxiously awaiting the input of the players. :)

In my opinion, we are falling a bit short on some of the "rogue" typical skills and the burst type damage that sneak attacks and skirmishing can provide. An Alchemist, Investigator or Slayer would also fit the short comings I see in the group.

in response to the question ranger/paladin, we currently have the following party makeup.

- oracle 1 (life)/paladin (oath against fiends, hospitaler) 3/hierophant 1
- cavalier (emissary) 3/ex-paladin (divine hunter) 1/champion 1
- skald (fated champion) 4/archmage 1
- wizard 4/archmage 1

I liked to joke with Lirrathan that he was on the path of becoming a paladin. I don't think he saw his path in the same way. :)

Our combats seem to take a little longer than I would normally expect, but we have had a few changes in party makeup, so we may just be getting used to each others abilities. With the addition of our new mythic abilities I am sure that will level things out for us.

So you are looking for stealth, disable device, or party face stuff? Or all three? Have you encountered situations so far where those would have been useful skills or are you more concerned about what the party might do should they come up?

My drafted character doesn't have any sneak attack exactly, but would be buffing the party with various ways to all add 1d6 or even 2d6 precision damage in sneak-attack situations. Overall the build I have in mind would definitely help to increase in-combat effectiveness.

I had been planning to go Freebooter Ranger with the Flagbearer feat to give everyone +2 attack/damage but as neither are those are from the GM's listed materials I don't think that plan will work.

I think Sir Bastion has the role of face handled pretty well. As the player of the wizard I am not to excited about buffs that add to hit and damage but the melee types I am sure will like that. But we already have a skald that does that.

Were I to propose something I might come in with a trap handling ranger or a strength build rogue.

I'll go ahead and submit Razortongue for this. He can handle the Disable Device and Stealth needs. He doesn't have Trapfinding yet, but I'll pick that up as a Slayer Talent at 6th level. As you'll see, he's geared to be more of a sniper, but can also mix it up in melee if needed.

I'd like to submit Reiko for consideration. I was playing her in another Wrath/Righteous campaign so I'll need to drop her skills a bit to match your game... but you can see where I was going with her build. I'd also tweak her a bit - losing the Acrobat archetype since you have no other magical trap detector and possibly a couple of other minor tweaks but the guts of the build would remain the same.

In terms of what I know about the AP, we were a bit ahead of where your team currently is - but I'm quite adept at compartmentalizing player knowledge from character knowledge. So I'll happily have my character cluelessly walk into traps.

Pathfinder Adventure, Lost Omens, Rulebook, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Alright, so you're mostly looking for someone who can do Disable Device. Slayer doesn't have that as a Class Skill anymore than a Ranger does. Although yeah, I suppose he can burn a Slayer Talent on it.

If Disable Device is what you are looking for, I think I can provide that.

Would a bomb throwing Alchemist work for you guys? Still has access to Disable Device, Stealth, and while it lacks Sneak Attack, it can still do burst damage with its Bombs.

An alchemist could be great. I am unsure how the power up as mythic though. Likely its great. lol. I just have not looked.

Bomber Alchemists won't power up as high as like, a Paladin/Barbarian/Wizard because all of those classes get access to some of the really powerful stuff like Mythic Vital Strike, Fleet Warrior, or Channel Power. The main thing Alchemists get from a Mythic game as opposed to a non mythic game, is the fact that they are less resource gated thanks to the ability mythic characters get at Tier 3, allowing them to spend 1 MP, rest for an hour, and get a refresh on class abilities per day. This means that they can carpet bomb as much as they like, but probably won't end up overshadowing the dedicated melee / casters in the party. Its just going to give you guys a bit more burst in combat, while acting as a pretty solid skill monkey.

Alright, may I put forth my witch Errasil A hedge witch/hex channeler. I would request an exemption so I could keep hex channeler which allows me to have some channel ability.

Reiko nice seeing you back and doing well. I was the GM for Reiko and can vouch for her.

Hi Variel! Thanks for thinking (and speaking kindly) of me.

I'm sorry I couldn't get past my work fiasco quickly enough to avoid being replaced in your Wrath game. I was having a great time until RL intruded.

Sorry for chiming in so late. I agree with the others, a rogue damage dealer type. Maybe Urban Ranger, or some such?

Yeah, I'm running through what would really help you guys. You have an Arcane Trickster that I wouldn't mind playing, but that comes online later, and you guys stated that you needed something sooner rather than later. AT's don't happen until 6th level, and its around about 12th level when that Sneak Attack spellcasting really comes into fruition.

I think I'll submit a Bomber Alchemist, just because its more useful now rather than later, although it doesn't get Sneak Attack :(

Background:

Born to a single mother with an absent father, Antonia didn't have a particularly great start in life. Things were slightly worse when you added in the fact that she was a Tiefling in Mendev and the height of the crusades. Antonia assumed that her race was a result of some dark taint far back in her bloodline, after all, the Crusades had been an ongoing event and a taint somewhere wouldn't be unheard of. Despite this, Antonia was still regarded with suspicion and dislike wherever she went, and in turn, spent as much of her time away from any of her family, blaming everyone but herself for her fiendish heritage.

Isolated, and angry, Antonia attempted to join the Crusades, but was quickly turned away. Commanders and soldiers simply didn't feel comfortable with a Tiefling protecting their back, no matter how desperate they might have needed reinforcements or volunteers, and Antonia grew even more upset upon learning that nations were sending criminals of society, thieves and the like, who were happily being accepted into the army, while someone with her race was denied the opportunity.

Antonia wasn't really a religious sort, and therefore didn’t pray for divine guidance or aid, mostly because she didn't feel confident that any god or goddess would acknowledge a tiefling, or at least, not a god or goddess that she wanted assistance from. Deciding that if she wanted to make a difference, she would have to handle things her own way, Antonia began to experiment with explosive devices and transformative spells, seeking to broaden her mental powers, in order to push the boundaries further and further. Successfully creating her first Cognatogen, Antonia branched out studying up on her own heritage, determined to make her knowledge of the terrain, enemies and hazards indispensable to the Mendev Crusaders. They might not trust her, or even like her, but so long as she could give then the knowledge they required, maybe, just maybe, she could be permitted to help in some small way, and set her on the path of earning the trust and respect of others.

Here is a draft of Reiko's modified crunch - a Samurai 2/Rogue 2 with Trickster 1. Some bits may require changing based on your campaign specifics and player preferences (I'm not looking to steal anyone's thunder). But I figure that sort of change can wait until you decide who is in or out.

All her background info is still under her profile. If you've got any follow-up questions, please let me know. Thanks for your consideration.

I have this character thats a whip trip build. He is an unchained rogue but i can switch him up if needed

As far as backgrounds go, do you want us to come up with our own backstory on how we received the mythic "spark" or do you have plans to make that part of how the character selected is integrated into the game?

caps here. Backstory, crunch, and a note on posting history is all in the profile.

I hand-waved my Oracle Curse a little--it could also double as the moment of mythic ascension.

Thanks for the interest folks! I'll close this up tomorrow at 1200 hours EST (or GMT - 4).

I'll have a chat with the group and we'll make our decision from there.

Grand! Thanks for keeping us in the loop!

Best of luck to everyone~

Good luck all!

Yes. Good luck.

I thought that the GM already picked Reiko. I could be mistaken tho.

I wish!

I haven't gotten a note, a congratulatory edible arrangement, or the mandatory ice-cream cake shaped like a Goblin. ;)

I mentioned that I heard from others ABOUT Reiko, but no choice made. I was waiting on the group to cast their votes...I'm not really one to steamroll a party decision.

Which I will end up making by 1200 hours EST (or GMT-4).

OK Folks! Thank you for the interest!

I am going to go with Reiko!

Thank you again!!

Thanks for the opportunity.

Congrats Reiko, I will be following your adventures to see how its fares for you. Again glad to see that life is going good for you!
