The last place that Rikar saw tracks for her was at (G15), but they disappeared as if she "flew", "teleported", "plane shifted" or some other means where she would not leave tracks.

DM rolls:

Forming back up into your normal order, you head south. As you reach the passage junction, torch lights flicker, the temperature seems to drop and the air itself seems agitated…

Next? Left or right?

I have put the Level H map on Google Drawings, link below. Will try this for a while, however, I may go back to Maptools. Remember the squares on the map (dark lines) are 10 x 10. Your tokens are 5 x 5.

"I realize," Misha says, even though no one replied to her, "That we may not be sure the pit is the way she went. It could also be a trap, a hazard, or a portal to a world filled by talking rabbits and animated playing cards. I was just thinking 'deepest in' might make sense. But very well... let's go the boring route." She sighs, adjusts her hat, and follows the party. She knows that everyone else is indeed probably right, and in truth that the main force drawing her to the pit is her own curiosity, so throws up no further argument.

As they move on, Misha reflexively rubs her arms and then realizes it does indeed, feel colder. She looks around with mundane senses and then casts detect magic to see if she can figure out if there is a source to the suddenly disturbed air.

Reaching the junction, Rikar notices the change in temperature as well, and focuses his senses on any threats that might be nearby. If no threat is in evidence, he suggests they head to the left.

lol, why do I bother with perception checks anymore. Rikar can roll a 1 and it is 28, and a 1 for you gives 18.

It’s true, Rikar’s perception is pretty good in his favored terrain – but remember he needs to take a standard action to give himself the +10 bonus from Uncanny Senses, so passive perception checks he only has a +17. That’s still good, but something invisible will still surprise him.

Kreig checks the secret door for traps and does not find any.

Rikar then opens the door.

You enter an incredibly ancient chamber, with so much dust gathered it comes up in wisps and clouds as you walk in. The chamber is palely illuminated by the supernatural light of two candelabra, alight with green fire through impossibly long centuries. The entrance opens into a dais with two stone steps, leading to the main chamber level. The far side of the chamber features three stone doors, one on each of the left and right walls and another at the center. This central door stands atop another dais. In the middle of the chamber, there is a great bas-relief of a coiled dragon, carved in what appears to be solid gemstone, though that would be impossible since the image is roughly ten feet in diameter. The whole chamber has an eerie, unnatural aura, like it is part of a dream…

They both return the favor, although Latys is not able to trip the creature. Misha moves up and casts a spell that does damage the creature slightly. Therena moves up and spits at the creature. The goo forces it to not be able to move from the spot on the floor.

Obviously the creature doesn't care that it can not move from the spot as two of its antagonists have stepped right up to it, so it swings its arm at Rikar again and smacks the warrior just as hard as he did last time.

Seeing Rikar going toe to toe with the dragon, Kreig trues to consider any legends of the type of creature. Perhaps information from ol' Uncle Jasper. The he steps to the right to clear the hall way and begins sending arrows at to the creature. (With it locked in place, it's denied bonus to dex, right? I can use sneak damage?)

As the fight is joined Telman is afforded a good overall view from his vantage point. He nods approvingly as he sees the group land quite a few solid blows against the crystalline beast but that is quickly replaced by wide-eyed disbelief seeing how quickly it is able to wound the mighty Rikar. He continues the stream of arrows without risking any delay.

Entangled does give it -2 penalty to attack rolls and -4 penalty to Dex, though since it's stuck, we're ruling it doesn't have any Dex to AC.

If it isn't dead by Therena's turn, it soon will be, so she just delays.

Between Josef magic missile, Kreig and Telman arrows and Rikar and Latys attacks the creature bursts apart into fine gem dust on the floor, before it has a chance to act again.

Searching the room reveals nothing of value, till you move to the southern edge. There you stand before a stone dais, roughly one foot above ground level. There are three identical coiling dragons carved on the dais, each of them about ten inches in diameter. All three dragons appear to be carved out of some form of gemstone; one of the dragons seems made of amber, the second looks like it is made of ruby and the third one appears carved from diamond.

Misha:
It was a construct, but nothing like you have seen or heard of before.

Kreig gives a bit of a dwarven jig as the construct crumbles to dust. His more toned limbs and quicker movements make it a merry display indeed. But his celebration is short-lived when stones ees Rikar's condition. "Tarnation, longshanks, dontcha know it's better ta duck? Hey, Therena, better see ta fixin' up the big guy here. Nice job with the stick'em too, lil lady. That there git me a clean line o' sight. E'en this ol' dwarf got some good'uns in on that there beastie! Woo-doggy!" He claps his hands together and gives another laugh.

He stumps over to Telman and gives him a reassuring shot in the arm. "Don't go thinkin' this coulda been avoided. I think e'en I woulda set off this critter's sniffer." He looks down and gives some of the gem dust a kick. "Sides, this here beastie jus' didn't have the minerals, heh heh."

The dwarf pauses and looks around to the rest of the group, hands out. "C'mon, 'minerals'? Get it?" He waves it off with a grunt and a laugh and heads over to the dais with Misha.

"So whadda we got here, Legs? A few more dragons ta crumble up?" He looks at the and the make up on the gemstones. Kreig gives a whistle. "Boy ifn they don't look all sorts o' pretty, eh?" the dwarf scratches at his firey-red beard and says, "Bet whate'er gettin' the royal treatment with a jewelry dragon as a guard, these lil doomaflitchies got somethin' ta do with it. Les see if they're too good ta be true, eh?"

Kreig begins studying the statuettes and the plinths upon which they rest. As Miaha investigates their magical and mundane nature's, Kreig looks at the possibility they're trapped in some way. Plus, it don't hurt none ta see what they may be worth, now do it ol' Kreig?

He takes an instinctive look around for any more threats, then lowers his blade and puts a hand to his side, where the dragon’s powerful strike hit him. ”Ouch,” he says calmly, ”I think that hit broke a few ribs. Glad that thing only got in the one shot, I couldn’t take many more like that. As Kreig says, I could use some patching up, Therena.”

Kreig moves to the southern half of the room, and looks carefully at the three ten inch coiled dragon gems set into the dais. He pronounces them trap free and perhaps worth 1,000 gp each.

Looking around the southern end of this room you see three doors, one on the southern edge of the dais and one to the east and one to the west. The chamber’s stone doors are carved with a life-size likeness of a human male, dressed in luxurious clothes. The carving is represented holding out an open palm in front of him.

Then he inspects the arm of the statue to see if there's jointing or mechanisms built into the shoulder, elbow or wrist. He scratches at his beard, looking from statue to hand and back again.
