So, our treasure sheet hasn't been updated probably in at least a year. I've kept track of what Misha herself has carried but I know we've found a bucket load of gold and gems and stuff at times. So who has that recorded?

Wow, it has been a long time since treasure was recorded! I've got a newer, simpler version of the treasure sheet, which includes the post number where things were found, so tracking is much easier. I can try to look back through the thread (I usually just search for 'GP' and have pretty good luck) and update the treasure sheet, but it may take me a day or two.

Well, that was a little quicker than I thought, though it may not be totally complete.

Here's a link to a revised Loot Tracker, which is a little easier to use, so I'm hoping any of us can and will update it.

I'd encourage others to take a look at the sheet and the treasure I recorded from each post that mentioned GP, as there were a few items I didn't record since they were magic items - I was mostly capturing gold, gems, etc.

DRB - could you look at the linked sheet and see if there are any significant encounters I missed that generated treasure?

As far as purchases go, I'll look to re-outfit for traps and develop some poison usage. Any recommendations?

I've also got a spare +1 short sword to sell, which I am more than willing to divide the value of evenly.

It occurs to me if we have extra gold after our higher priority items, we could get a few oils of stone shape to clear out the cave in--as well as deal with other potentially annoying stony obstacles.

I've got about enough to get myself a +2 mithral shirt, or I might just get a +1 mithral shirt and maybe a cheap wondrous item and some potions. That also throws my old +1 chain shirt into the kitty.

I've got a +1 chain shirt I could get rid of as well. Latys needs armor less than she needs a magical attack of some sort, so an Amulet of Mighty Fists (or Magic Fang) would be a good thing. I'd expect to cover the cost of that, and Rikar doesn't really need much at this point except for the minor restorative/emergency items I listed earlier, so I've got enough gold to spend 4000 on an AoMF.

She has her share of treasure which is 5,204 gp, plus a prior purse of 509 gp, plus what she would get from selling her +1 chain shirt, which would be 625 gp. This gives her a budget of 6,338 gp.

If my calculations are correct (which is nowhere near a guaranteed thing), she should have 188 gp left. If anyone needs any of that to help get a thing they want/need, I am happy to donate it.

Specifially, scrolls of teleport, wall of force, telekinesis, and overland flight.

All - I've linked the new loot tracker under my avatar, for ease of use. I've also added in Misha's sale and purchases, to show how the tracker can do that easily also. Josef can do his own tracker edits once DRB tells him what scrolls are available.

Now I need to get serious about buying stuff for Rikar.

Edit: Rikar has a +2 Greatsword that he won't be using much, now that he has the Fearsome Scythe of Fearsomeness. Does Josef want it? Or anyone else? I could sell it and get enough to buy Latys a nice amulet, but giving it to a party member is probably a better use of our resources.

Both Telman and Josef carry greatswords so it's up to them if one of them wants to nab it.

I don't think anyone else in the party can even use one, let alone wants one.

Telman continues his streak of never using a melee weapon ever, so it would be a bit of a waste for him to carry such a nice weapon. I was even considering adding the +1 greatsword to the sell pile to get the group some more cash.

Ive got a dream of adding Designating to his bow in the future so will probably spend very little of this haul as I save up.

Okay, I'll wait to see if Josef wants the +2 sword, then will get to shopping.

Designating sounds like a fun ability, haven't played with that before. I really like odd ways of giving buffs - I have a snooty Galtan investigator who uses the Combat Advice feat to tell people how they're doing it wrong and give them a bonus in combat.

Magical weapons are of limited utility to me. With Arcane Strike, I have a +2 to whatever weapon I attack with. It only matters if I want to get a special ability like flaming, holy, or the like.

Sell it, get kitty a new collar.

Josef, Arcane Strike only gives you a bonus to damage. Plus I believe the damage from Arcane Strike STACKS with magical weapon bonuses, as the damage bonus from the feat is not typed (it is NOT an enhancement bonus, it is just an extra +x to damage).

So you benefit even MORE from the feat if you have the feat AND a magic weapon --- a +2 sword gives you +2 to attack, +4 to damage with Arcane Strike (+2 from the feat, +2 from the sword). Whereas a plain weapon with Arcane Strike is +0 attack/+2 damage.

With also remember Arcane Strike works only if you have a swift action to activate ---- and that means you can't use it the same round you activate, say, Arcane Armor Training, which also uses a Swift Action. Also, I know it's long time before you get it, but the Eldritch Knight capstone (which is awesome, I've seen it in action) also requires a swift action to use. Whereas a +2 weapon always gives you a free bonus, no actions required. ((For Misha I always have to balance activating Archeologist's Luck, which needs a swift action to activate but is free to maintain, before I activate Arcane Strike.))

While I want Latys to have good gear too, it is absolutely foolish to look a gift +2 horse in the mouth. It NEVER hurts to have a +2 weapon around and I agree with Rikar it's wasteful for someone to not keep it.

Also, while it doesn't matter now, as it doesn't apply to +2 weapons, don't forget +3 or higher weapons also bypass other kinds of DR--+3 bypasses cold iron and silver, +4 adamantine, and +5 alignment-based DR, so we when that level or weapons available to us, it's all the more reason to hold onto one when you find it.

Too bad we can't move Therena's 7 charges into my wand with 46 (capping at 50). ;)

I could also just give Therena my wand of CLW. I don't use it much and I've had it since, like, I think 3rd or 4th level. I really don't think we need two.

Any further thoughts on the wand thing and/or what else to do with the 1000 gp or so from selling the spare sword? My intent was NOT to buy another CLW, given I've only used the one I have four times in about two years. Usually in practice I just end up burning whatever first level slots I have on CLW if needed, rather than using the wand. Again, I am happy to give my current wand (46 charges) to Therena.

I was thinking more like a wand of shield or something combatively I could use with UMD.

Upon other reflection, I was also thinking about getting boots of the cat--useful in an underground area, I think.

Or if someone has need of another item that 1,000 gold could go toward, please speak up.

Sounds like your analysis of whether to get a wand or not is sound, Misha, so I agree, let's skip it.

Rikar doesn't need to borrow any gold at this point.

Are we more or less ready to go? I'm not sure if Kreig has figured out all his purchases or not, and it sounds like Telman just has a couple of minor things, which he can probably just add on as we get going.

Do the dwarves have any reaction to the report about the passage to Sekamina? The abomination? Also, Misha would ask their advice about what to do about the cave in.

Boots of the Cat - yes.

Passage to Sekamina - They tell you that they know of other passageways in their home area, but this seems to be a new one since no one has really explored this mountain in many, many years.

Cave in - As far as they are concerned, leave it in place. It blocks off anything from below coming up to the mines.

@All - Other than back to level I, anything else?
