Well... if not that, then I'm looking at Cleave. That's even more attacks as opposed to an occasional better attack. :)
Doruk just finds this to be more in his style of perfecting his art rather than just going for the extra swing. I'm easy either way though - totally up to you!

Most of all y'all know this, but it's a PFS convention weekend for me: KUBLACON! (SF, CA) and I might be somewhat less quick to post than usual, starting Friday.
Martigan, there is still room for you want to fly out.
I should be back to posting 'normally' on Tuesday.

So... I've been told by reliable sources (more or less) that when you do no damage due to DR, you still do 1hp non-lethal to the target. In other words if you do 8hp of damage to a DR10/magic creature, they still take 1hp non-lethal.
HOWEVER, having said that I'm scouring the rules to find that so I can post a link and I cannot find it anywhere. I also did a brief search of the Paizo boards with no luck. Am I just high and hooked on crack? Can anyone point me to the source for that idea - or like so many others must I abandon my dreams as pure folly...

I did look that up, but only found wording that suggested the following: if no damage penetrates DR, then secondary effects (like elemental damage, poison, etc.) also does not get through. So I'd be inclined to say that there is no non-lethal damage.

This would imply that if the physical damage doesn't beat the DR, then the 1d4 Sun Metal damage wouldn't be counted?
Sheesh... Painlord was right about the gricks being a rough fight.
I believe I did read some footnotes about it encouraging the PCs to be better prepared in the future for things that are DR/magic *hint* :)

Yeah, tough fight. It's one that I think we can win, it's just going to be painful and expensive. We need to focus fire better and use more alchemicals (flasks or bombs) and I think we can outlast them.
At the time we left Greyhawk, we were lvl 2 and has dreams of finding a war cache of magical dwarves weapons. Sadly, the only thing we've found so far is a major artifact--the Sword of Kas.

Don't forget Tiabrar's elvish bracers that give him a fat 3 re-rolls a day to any ranged attack.
... yeah, the ones I have yet to see him use.
While I'm at it, I'm fairly certain that after the fight with the gricks, you're very close to 4th level, so I suppose you all should start thinking about what the plan is there. I'll confirm this fact later once I dust off the XP spreadsheet.

It's been 13 encounters since you guys were Level 3.
Lyrannikin 480
Returning Orc Patrol 160
Orcs @ Stone Door 120
Orcs @ Stone Door Con't 160
Yarrack & Orcs 240
Burdug & Friends 267
Stirges 100
Fire Trap 100
Orc Barracks 100
Great Ulfe & Wolves 200
Statue Trap 100
Trogs & Bear 267
Gricks 533
By the book, including even my adjusting fight CRs up slightly once Mobled joined, you guys are still short of the XP needed to move from Level 3 to Level 4 on the medium track.
I had you guys setting out from Greyhawk at 5000XP each.
You need 9000XP to achieve Level 4.
You've gained +2827XP thus far and are sitting at 7827XP.
I could see throwing some RP XP your way - probably ~250XP worth, but that still likely leaves you guys 2 encounters away from Level 4.
I think I'm going to go with you guys continuing to explore a bit more in the Glitterhame before we'd handle leveling, it will probably coincide with your next stop to rest (which I'd think would be ~2 encounters or so away).
I may contemplate boosting the CR of future encounters a bit ... I had already done that to account for the power gap between Pathfinder vs 3.5e and the 6-member party. I need to remember to also increase the treasure you guys find as well. :)

Doruk quickly moves away from the door before the trap resets so as to avoid another mincing. Doruk stays just out of reach of the statues, but remains close to aid the party in the event something comes through the doors.
I KNEW this room was unsafe. I should always trust my gut.
And your guts would appreciate that so they are not spilled out over the floor. It's cold outside the body.

Incidentally, I think the rest of the players seem to try to always put Aralynn/Tiabrar in highly dangerous situations so that the monsters have no other choice put to attack her/him.
Glad to see two dwarves missed and left Tia at 1HP, though. I was a little surprised to see Aralynn's 11 Con followed up by Tia's 10 Con.
