Sorry about disappearing for the past few weeks. Between exams and someone stealing all my money in my bank account and trying to chase the bank and the various merchants down for my money, I've been really, really tired and blergh. I'm gonna be more active now though, hopefully.
Glad you're back Mari. Sorry about all the troubles you've had lately. School is school, but the bank account robbery is really rotten.

Hehe, yeah, the creature acted early this turn around, before Inari did, attacking me.
It may have been a bit confusing, but even botted, you made a great attack and finished the combat for us ;)
I didn't post a map for the house, though maybe a I should have. It's a dinky house, and the map has very limited practical use so I didn't bother. Seemed too much trouble since it is one part of a composite image that contains several small maps.
Oh well, we won't be using it at this point anyway.
Re movement about the house: it's small and a double move by anyone except Mari couldn't even be fully used inside. I figured anyone reaching the top of the stairs would stop and take stock before continuing to move, effectively putting everyone at about 20' of movement. I let Mari take the lead since she specified upstairs and I'd botted her in the last combat round.
Which was my fault. I shouldn't have wrapped the creature's combat round into the other, previous description. That made it hard to find, which is probably why Mari missed it and kept waiting.
I'll be sure to keep those separate in the future.

A couple of things:
To clarify, the party hasn't advanced very far into the marsh at this point. If you check the Brinestump map you can easily find yourselves. The Old Fish Trail is the one the extends from the bottom of "lost" in the Lost Coast Road label. You're at the first bridge you come to on the trail. Mostly you've traveled parallel to the bluff at the edge of the marsh.
The next time you return to town you will be picking up a new member for the party.
I'n not trying to nudge you to do anything in particular, but if it helps in making a decision (if you''re having trouble making a decision) there you go.

There isn't much daylight left so you probably will want to stay at the farm overnight instead of leaving immediately.
Sometime today when I get a chance I will post a cut scene to bring you through until the next morning. You can start back immediately after.
We may want to stay overnight, but we CAN use the remaining daylight to circle around outside the Marsh and take note of any other entrances or exits, right? Just so we can plan ahead for tomorrow.
If we find no other entrance, we'll know to prepare for heading in deeper the way we tried before. If there's 5 more, we'll have to decide how to proceed.
Or is the area too large? If so, I guess we'll need to do that tomorrow...
Sure, you can spend the remainder of the day doing that. How about I roll that into the cut scene?

Once again, plans in real-life simply don't work out.
I was to attent a training workshop most of this week, and expected to have plenty of time to post during the nights at the hotel, so was a bit lazy last weekend and spend time preparing for the trip.
Little did I know that we only met up at the hotel, then moved by bus to a cabin in the mountains for teambuilding purposes. No phone, no Wi-Fi, and even if we had, no time to post.
It was a very interesting experience, but yeah, sorry for going MIA/AWOL, I'm back and will make sure to catch up on all my games and post ASAP.
Hej. Feeling fine again. Got worse before it got better.
Plus, once I was feeling a bit less ill, I had the bright idea of working on updating my computer system while I was home anyway, which caused some further problems with being able to go online.
Either way, I'm back now and will catch up with all my games plus post today(within about 12 hours). Apologies for going missing. I did update some of my games when I originally fell ill, but not all - assuming I could post somewhat normally for those not moving at too fast a pace.

Often I find that if I fall behind in updates, I need to make time to simply update a Discussion Thread to inform the PCs of a particular game that I am either going to be posting later in the day or week or will be on a break form the boards for one reason or another.
To save time updating so many damn threads I am going to open this thread and link all of my DM aliases (and PC aliases) to this thread to inform people as to my status. So if I am missing for a time, just go ahead and click on the link in my Avatar and you will be able to ascertain my board status.
My sincerest apologies if this is a bit of an inconvenience where you are waiting on me for an action but posting "I will be away for the next 3 days" 47 times (or more) is just not working for me any longer. Thank you for your understanding!

I'll bot them both until the Brinestump stuff of wrapped up, shouldn't be too much longer. We'll wait until back in Sandpoint to figure out replacements.
