Two of the demons dodge the worst of the steam-ball, but it still seems much more effective than fire alone. Only one manages to close its eyes in time to keep the steam from fogging up its glassesaffecting its vision; it keeps its sight long enough to see Njord's fist racing toward it, and then it, too, can no longer see (because it's dead). The newly-arrived demons crowd around, eager to bring a piece of the mortals back to their leader, while the blinded ones hiss and claw wildly in Njord's direction.

Sounds like a good plan, as long as beat-up Randall is okay with getting back in the mix.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I'm starting to think we need to withdraw? Close the doors behind us, let the summons wear off, run back in when we're ready. This is getting ugly.

Blanked on the fact that the Staff has 14 charges and fireballs use only two charges. Since it was full, I have a lot more...more fireballs or iceballs or whatever. I am agreeing with Xiddik, this feels like an endless supply of demons and while we are hitting a stride I don't think our melee folks have the HP to soak much more.

Asht'el is pleased by the damage the giant balls of steam seem to be doing, and keeps up the stratagem, in spite of the bizarre vines growing from his body. He conjures a handful of flames, then leans around the corner to watch Jametor, ready to add fire to the elf's ice attack!

Doing it again, figuring I can just peek around that corner enough to see when Jametor casts. Reading the Elemental Commixture feat, since Jametor is the one doing the targeting, and Asht'el is just adding flavor to the spell, I think only Jametor needs to see the target.

Also, somewhere along the way, I forgot I was one of the spore people. I've gone back through the thread and accounted for the spore damage, and I now proudly boast vines as well as gorgeous hair.

I also have a haste available if needed. I have quicken feat, not sure if that means I need to prep it as quicken or not. but that's an option to help the martial folks get their hit on.

Yes, I've been keeping track, not using all my fireballs each day and recharging with that. Plus this staff has 14 charges and the fireball uses 2 charges. That last fireball was #6, so I have one more, then I have to switch to other spells.

I only have one more spell in the staff, so, then i have to use other spells. But I don't have a ton of big hitters left.

That's not quite how it works... you have to recharge it with 4th-level spells, it has to be at the beginning of the day instead of preparing that spell, and you can only recharge a maximum of one charge per day.

Don't want you to think I'm policing it, just want to make sure you know how it works and are tracking it appropriately. :)
