I was thinking maybe we should get some stuff for telekinesis ammo and put something on it that would do harm to evil outsiders.


Can I get money as well? I need a wrestling mask and something that can let me fly around.

So far, I have 50 +1 evil outsider-bane crossbow bolts, still have the 30K left to spend. Any suggestions on other things I might be able to fling at demons would be welcome. Can you enchant a hedgehog to have the bane property?

Same as you do any magic weapon. On the Weapons tab, click 'New Magic, Custom or Masterwork Weapon', then the top choice, 'Custom / magic weapon'. Choose your weapon type, put 'Base Item' at +1, then 'Click to add a new Special Ability' and select Bane. Fill in the Bane blank as Evil Outsider and click the 'Add' button at the bottom.

You'll now have 50 +1 evil outsider-bane crossbow bolts. It's possible to change the quantity you have afterwards, if you don't want to spend the full amount for 50 of them, by deleting some of the bolts. HL isn't very good at the math on how much gold this will get you back, so you'll want to be sure it's doing that accounting right. Each bolt should be 166 gp.

Oh, don't forget cold iron for weaponry. And bless weapon or some means of making it a good weapon will help with DR in some cases.

Asht'el also has 100 cold iron crossbow bolts. Have to think about something to make it good-aligned - maybe stick a warpriest in my haversack? Any other suggestions?

The holy weapon property makes them good-aligned, but it's a +2 bonus, so it might be too pricy for all 100 bolts. I don't know what other options might be available.

And with them being cold iron, the price goes up more because of the cost to enchant them, anyway.

Yeah, +1 cold iron holy crossbow bolts would cost 406 gp each, so that seems excessive - but not out of the question. The tricky thing with spells like Bless Weapon or Weapons Against Evil is they affect one or a few weapons, and don't have the multiples for ammunition like many spells do, so I don't believe I could use them on a whole bunch of bolts like I can with Magic Weapon.

I upgraded my headband to +4, adding diplomacy as a skill.

I added a Pearl of Power level 2 x2 and a Pearl of Power level 3

I crafted a Scroll of Greater Teleport and Summmon Monster 7

I added 50 +1 Bane-Evil Outsider arrows.

I've made a lot of progress, but ran out of time. Looking at it again, my HL doesn't do Agile weapon property - I will have to fool it with something of a +1 nature and fix it in the character sheet.

Did you say we would be healed? I seem to have some lingering ability damage or I forgot to remove it, I'm not sure which.

With about 3K more, I can add agile if I need it or bane if it stacks.

If I don't need the former and the latter won't help, I have a lot of money for UMD toys or party wands unless someone else has better ideas.


Agile shouldn't be too terribly hard to fix on the character sheet.

Agh! Now I need to choose! +2 to attack and +2+2d6 to damage vs evil outsiders or +5 to all damage?

The +2 improves the attacks when I probably need them most and the damage improvement would range from +4 to +14, so averaging +9? I guess that's not too hard a decision to make... I need to modify some other purchases.

I'd suggest the former. The bulk of your damage comes from sneak attack anyway which doesn't trigger unless you hit.

As an update: I can't think of any interesting wondrous items to merge the ocarina with, so I'll probably leave it as-is. Or I'll go with the horn.

Otherwise, Xiddik is entirely done in terms of planned changes. The rest is just bookkeeping, getting it on the profile page. I'll get around to that soon enough.

I had forgotten to update my profile, but it's done now. I purchased a partially-used wand of bless weapon with the thought you have in mind. That money could be invested in a Prickles-wielded wand instead. I will have to investigate how much that cost.
