I know I don't have that kind of cash... ^^; And I didn't take sleight of hand, so I can't swipe an outfit even if the rest of you distract the merchant.

Those are crazy prices. In day someone with the Craft Wondrous feat could make a cloak of resistance that would give +1 to all saves for less.

When there is some natural disaster some people raise the price of building supple, bottled water, generators, duct tape, ect. Those people are remembered later and people do not shop with them after things have calmed. When they raise prices too high the government calls it price gouging and it becomes illegal. I am not sure when that line is crossed.
This dude wasn't selling his outfit nor was he government. I gather he had no desire to give it to us, thus an astronomical price to clear us out nicely.

I humbly apologize for my unannounced - and entirely unplanned - absence.
You see, my home internet has crapped out on me once again, and I am waiting for it to be restored. Until it is, I can't come online every day. Please DMPC me as required... >_<;

My thoughts on the perfumer are that its unlikely that his cure works at all. If it does, great. Spread the word. Its likely that this alone will solve the problem. But if not, its still a calming effect on the city, which has value in this turbulent time.
Is it worth challenging the seller to put her out of business? I think she is a crook but do not think she is worthy of our time.

Sorry to hear... I can imagine it's frustrating. Hope you get it resolved soon!
Role-playing fun is never a waste of player time ... it may be wasting character time while thousands die a horrible death, but don't worry about that, these aren't real people!!!

Took two extra hours of our day though, once we had the elixir. I just worry that we will not be able to check all leads if we spend so much time on the first couple.
Just FYI, I've been cramming for a big test I have to take this afternoon. I'll pick things up again tonight/tomorrow. Thanks for being patient! =)
Additionally, I'll be on the road for a couple weeks starting Monday... shouldn't affect gameplay too much, but if I go dark for a few days, you know why...

Good luck to you. After the test you will have to share what the subject was and how you did.

Regarding going to the ship, I'm all for exploring, but I have a feeling--and sorry, this is kind of metagaming--that if we are meant to explore it, some item will be made available to allow us to swim around down there. Gillyweed suddenly appears, or those silly Jedi breathing tubes (sorry, ugh, flashbacks to Phantom Menace). That being said, let's go for it.
I wouldn't call it a 'sandbox', but there are many threads in the tapestry. Finding which to follow is part of the mystery. Just because one doesn't pan out doesn't mean the others are invalid, or even that those seven are all there are to follow. I'm deliberately not railroading this part for a reason.

I will be traveling tomorrow and over the weekend for my son's wedding. Posting may be sparse. And then next week I am canoeing with scouts Wednesday afternoon though the following Sunday and may have a signal some of the time with my phone. Bot me as required

OK I looked at my herolab file and I realized I didn't update my profile of Cherias. So, Cherias has the wand of CLW I think. Is that the wand you were using, Mel?

Does anyone else have anything in the ways of area attacks to deal with this rat swarm? Alchemist fire, bottles of acid, anything with splash damage? 'Cause I don't! 0_0;

A rat swarm is composed of Tiny creatures, rather than diminutive or fine, and so takes half damage from slashing or piercing attacks, rather than being immune to all weapon damage. It's also an animal type, rather than vermin, so it's not immune to mind-affecting spells, and color spray will work on it.

The rats could stop and eat them, or just ignore them. I wonder if the rats are controlled. Otherwise they would be attacking the were rats too.
