Yeah... not so much it seems.
Grilnik Urist |
and here I was hoping for a buddy or something, oh well xD
Grilnik is going to have so many questions xD

She's pissed she nearly died, and extra pissed at Grilnik! She's in no mood to act like she cares. lolAnd she's severely torn up about Vors. Look how she weeps over the body, cursing her pride for not taking the chance to be held in his strong masculine arms.
Oh, definitely. I thought that went without saying.
Bullseye Brynn |
You're welcome. lol
---
So who wants the third cure moderate wounds potion? Brynn wants one for sure and Vors is drinking one. If no one wants it, Brynn does, but I expect someone will take it.
Brynn also happily volunteers to carry the gems and pp for the party. lol
Bullseye Brynn |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
And Brynn is officially miffed with Vors. lol.
Gods?! Pfft! Clearly it was all her...
Grilnik Urist |
I think I remember someone volunteering, also I have been keeping a backup ^^
Grilnik Urist |

Not if Grilnik volunteers first :P
Bullseye Brynn |
We agreed to each keep track of our own gear, and the GM would track group loot, but I had a list going anyway, so I'm posting it. Everyone's welcome to edit it, and the GM can link to it, please. There's no space for who claimed an item, since that should be on everyone's sheets.
Any older items to add to it we didn't sell?
Bethany Carpenter |
That seems right. We just need to add the gold from the other chests I think.
Verik Skintail |
*facepalm* ugh... Yeah, Verik didn't actually want to kill the Kobold... Plus I thought I was very clear when I mentioned it was hiding something but I do suppose that the walls did infact need more Kobold brain...
Also it's a bit too late to save the Kobold AGAIN from that hammer :/
Bethany Carpenter |
Well as a player I knew that but the 18 year old carpenter who signed up to be a guard had know way of knowing.
Grilnik Urist |
and from my list, the treasure chest stuff:
cp: 17500
sp: 3000 (was 4000, Grilnik took 1k in case they needed it before coming back)
gp: 92
pp: 14
teak case with 30 gems (still haven't tried appraise, we will probably do that in a more comfortable setting....)
Bullseye Brynn |
Since no one's claimed the other potion yet, Brynn's keeping it.
When the coins get split, everyone gets 4 pp, 18 gp, 800 sp and 3,500 cp. (I put the full 4,000 sp in when counting, Grilnik.)
The small amount of coins listen in the coin totals is leftover group coins after splitting them up evenly.
Who is good at appraise? When we get a chance back at the inn you'll need to figure out how much they're worth.
Grilnik Urist |
sounds good, though I'd prefer to keep a fund for party items, like a bag of lewt holding that is just for things we pillage, not to mention a small supply of gold for Verik's packrat ability xD
Ya know, since healthkits are mundane items, from 5th level he'll be able to pull those out of his magic pocket xD
Bullseye Brynn |
We've got gear to sell, and gems. We can keep the money from that aside if everyone wants.
Bullseye Brynn |
Sooooo... I've never played in a group that would allow players to cast enchantments on each other. Doesn't that fall in the same category of no-no's like harming each other, stealing from each other, and so on?
Is this going to be allowed?
She passed her save, so it's no trouble I suppose, but still. As a player, I'm not okay with that on principle.
I'm not angry, fyi, just... surprised. Looking for guidelines.
Bethany Carpenter |
Kind of up to the GM. Normally I am against but in this case, its good RP.
Don't know if he say his spells were magically ready to be cast when he had his revelation?
DM Nex |
Hmm.. I am not sure. I generally try to avoid that at the table. It can lead down a dark path.
I think in this instance he almost "could not help it" since he suddenly became a cleric.
But lets say going forward, lets avoid casting potentially negative things on eachother, unless out of character everyone agrees to it.
Deal?
Bullseye Brynn |
Cause if Brynn had noticed, things would have gotten out of control. For obvious reasons she's not okay with anyone, let alone some guys she barely knows, casting enchantment spells on her.

It was meant as an rp moment. I had little illusion to Brynn beating a DC 11! I mean't no insult.
Bullseye Brynn |
You're such a dwarf, Grilnik. lol As if you want to knock down a wall to save you from having to walk. Are you any good at engineering?
In all fairness, the acid pools don't look like fun with chests in hand. lol
Bethany Carpenter |
See Brynn! Dwarfing is a valid term.
Verik Skintail |
PackRat+ bag of holding= PROFIT!
Seriously, if one has that feat a bag if holding literally becomes essential
But anyways, most likely what I'll be buying is wands, bracers of armor, and/or the means to add spells to my spellbook.
DM Nex |
Just a heads up, this town is not very large. Might be hard to find some of the items. Since the only wizard is dead now, finding spells might be tricky as well.
I know there is a base value for the settlement, so we will have roll for availability of items.
Just so you all have an idea of what this means. The town has a list of random magic items available at various shops. Other than those, any item worth 1,000gp or less has a 75% of being found. No item over 1,000gp is available.
This module has quite a few items being dropped later on. You are going to get items WAY above the character level worth. You may just not be able to control what you find.

If you can afford braces and Wands then you can afford a Minor Bag of Holding :P
Also, without the bag, you carry up to only 20lbs while moving 20ft/roundThough I suppose it’s better to wait for a Handy Haversack anyway, for only twice the price you get move action && no AoO retrieval :D
...anyone wanting to grab craft wonderous item? xD
Grilnik Urist |
@Verik: when you say pickaxe, do you mean the heavy pick weapon? or the two handed pickaxe?
I'm confused as to what I'd be adding to my character sheet xD
edit: It's the light pick for 3lbs and 4gp, isn't it? xD
Also we need a good way to balance where items come from and end up going so that you don't end up broke in return for helping...
edit2: can we retcon and say that it was a heavy pick? Verik might know that all dwarves know how to swing a heavy pick. Also possibly cold-iron? 'cause that'd be an even better reason to pick one up xD
(at least, the dwarves that don't trade out weapon proficiency can swing a heavy pick...)
Bullseye Brynn |
See Brynn! Dwarfing is a valid term.
Hahaha. I concur!
Bethany Carpenter |
SO in GP that is about 173gp each from the coins.
Not enough to get the armor upgrade I want so ideally I will change to a less cumbersome currency. Saving for a breastplate unless something better come up from adventuring.
Bullseye Brynn |
FYI The gear we're selling gives us an another 261 gp total, which I added to the GP section on our loot list.
Bullseye Brynn |

Yes.
Bullseye Brynn |
@ GM - Are we going to have a hard time selling the teak case of gems? Can we sell it at the Bank of Abadar?
Grilnik Urist |
BTW, since a sack can only carry up to 60 lbs, and it'd be nice for sorting to have extra sacks, can we just say we bought 10 sacks as part of the moving operation?
86lbs of coin each is so heavy that Grilnik will have to put stuff down in the inn for safekeeping while they shop (he never does that) xD
Bethany Carpenter |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
See! Way not to dwarf, putting things down for a moment. Good on you.
Grilnik Urist |
my second favorite part is being able to run 120 feet over difficult terrain while carrying 175lbs of loot in a single round xD
my favorite part will be explaining that the sixty pound sack is only worth 3pp + 1 sack...
Verik Skintail |
No, I grabbed the Miner's Pick from ultimate Equipment, it's cheeper and practical because the weapon picks can't be used for digging, but it can as well as be used as a heavy pick(Although an improvised one)
Grilnik Urist |
Oooh, neat. The 3gp && 10lb one? xD
Also, for the sake of your feat, I think we should let you hold on to a pound or two of our party's slush fund...
Verik Skintail |
True that, just ask me to hold onto your gold then forget I spent it on something :P
That will go GREAT!
and honestly, as a small creature dont forget that everything is half it's normal weight (as long as it's made for me)
Also, the feat doesn't say I have to carry it, only that it can be practical. Like I could have honestly kept a pick in my pack.
Grilnik Urist |
lol, it will go great if we put you in charge of grabbing odds and ends to prepare us for the future.
After all, who prepares for the future better than wizards? Can anyone else trade their final bonus feat for immortality? xD
I think the main problem is that you'll be moving 15ft per round and have -3 to all your dex and str checks if we don't buy you a handy haversack soonish (and that's just up to 40lbs) xD
Verik Skintail |
Yeah, honestly we can get the haversack for convenience, but I'd prefer a bigger BoH if we want quantity.
And technically Alchemist can... And monks I believe... And some clerics, and Ect.
Psychic can achieve Imortality in a strange way, they can "Body swap" with NPC or players if the same race, and the spell is permanent. So if they kept switching bodies with a young member of their race they would essentially achieve Imortality through proxy.
Bullseye Brynn |
The GM said we can't find anything in town over 1,000 gp. We can't get you a handy haversack or a big bag of holding, even if we could afford it.
Grilnik Urist |
Thx for the reminder.
I guess it's a moot point until we can find a bigger town or get a crafting feat xD
edit (combine both posts):
BTW, we'll get an extra 160gp each from the sale of the teak box + gems (for a total of 333gp each... huh, neat), so Brynn and Grilnik will be able to afford breastplates after all ^^
edit2:
BTW Vors, could you roll 5d6 just to make sure your channeling from your instant ordainment was enough to heal Bethany? xD
...Geez I need to spend a feat on extra channeling at some point...
Bullseye Brynn |
@ Verik:
Everyone gets: 4 pp, 18 gp, 800 sp and 3,500 cp from the coins Brynn hands out.
Grilnik sells the teak box and gems, which give us and extra 160 gp each.
We have a reward to collect from the rich woman.
We also have an extra 4 pp, 263 gp, and a five gems worth 25 gp each which is in our group cash fund.
---
I'd suggest we each take one of the gems so we get an extra 25 gp, and leave the rest as group cash. Any complaints?
Grilnik Urist |
@Verik I could make my spreadsheet a little nicer and then show you that if you want to see where all the money comes from/goes...
But I double checked the math and the loot (link just above tabs) section is correct (ignoring the crest); in fact, double checking the numbers reminded me about 7gp from selling 7 small chests...
@Brynn I feel like we should use the gems as a way to reduce encumberance for... mostly just Verik (i.e. trade his unspent coin for gems and the total value of the slush fund and his funds stay the same, but Grilnik carries more weight)
But, if you want more than 333 gold, we have enough for handing out over 50gp per PC in the slush fund xD
