Suny gets ready to help 'man' the balista for the coming action,
"Look alive! All hands on deck! Prepare to repel boarders!"
MichaelCullen |
Feel free to arrange yourself on the ship. The ship is in 10 foot squares the dock is in 5. Look at that large size Havok!
It seems we are ready to begin. Tsadok announces to the crowd.
As he makes his announcement one of his goons rips the sheet off the cage and another opens the door.
From inside the cage, black eyes stare out from the fish-like face of a hideous green-skinned, web-fingered, and obese giant.

MichaelCullen |
Fishpork raises his arms and asks the water to obscure your sight. A fog cloud forms on your ship.
School conjuration (creation); Level druid 2, sorcerer/wizard 2
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S
Range medium (100 ft. + 10 ft. level)
Effect fog spreads in 20-ft. radius
Duration 10 min./level
Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance no
A bank of fog billows out from the point you designate. The fog obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet. A creature within 5 feet has concealment (attacks have a 20% miss chance). Creatures farther away have total concealment (50% miss chance, and the attacker can't use sight to locate the target).
A moderate wind (11+ mph) disperses the fog in 4 rounds; a strong wind (21+ mph) disperses the fog in 1 round.
The spell does not function underwater.
Even those in the cloud can hear him advance onto the ship.
miss chance on Suny's Pumkin: 1d100 ⇒ 75 potential hit had you met his AC
A pumpkin flies out of the mist and heads straight for Tsadok, he seems not be caught completely unaware. He deftly steps out of the way as it smashes into the wall behind him splattering onto one of his companions.
How the crowd takes the idea of flying fruit: 1d100 ⇒ 94
How the companion takes getting pumpkin all over him: 1d100 ⇒ 3
How Tsadok takes the situation: 1d100 ⇒ 53
Those rolls are great and in your favor.
Tsadok's goon looks positively furious at the situation, he draws his sword and begins to rush the ship. The crowd breaks into laughter at the spectacle. Seeing how well the crowd has taken the situation and how poorly his underling did, Tsadok reaches out to restrain the man as he begins his charge.
Grapple as an AOO: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (14) + 23 = 37
Tsadok picks the man up, Do you really want to be a part of the test?
High yes low no: 1d100 ⇒ 92
The man replies by trying to push out of Tsadok's grasp.
CMB: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34Barely makes it.
Yes now let me go!
Please don't forget to roll your concealment miss chances. 20% if within 5 feet, 50% with total concealment if beyond 5 feet. High is good.
Suny, Jax and Dimitrious have gone, everyone else is up.

Many apologies for the delay. I am at a training out-of-state. We have no wifi at the convention center and very spotty internet at the motel. It stinks. Thank you for your patience.

In the blink of an eye, Arjun disappears with a pop. [Vanish, swift action]. He makes his way carefully through the fog to avoid giving away his position and draws his wakizashi [Stealth 1d20 + 37 ⇒ (7) + 37 = 44]. He slashes at the broad flank of the giant.

MichaelCullen |
@Jax, I'll let it go this round, but in order to hit him with a targeted spell you have to see him. Which means you must be adjacent to him.
Having been hurt the most by Dimitrious, the giant seeks to end the threat posed by the sorcerer. I am going to treat your stealth check as if you were sniping. You don't meet the at least 10 feet requirement but we will say the fog gives you enough cover to pull it off at the normal -20.
perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25 enough to see Dimitrious with the -20 sniping penalty.

Unless you have a way to see through concealment you need to roll it with your attacks. Otherwise they will be misses. Last time I will role miss chances, after this a hit without a miss chance rolled will be a miss. Remember if you are within 5 feet you have a 20% miss chance. Low is bad. The only one who at this point, has no miss chance is Noro.

A character who was dying but who has stopped losing hit points each round and still has negative hit points is stable. The character is no longer dying, but is still unconscious. If the character has become stable because of aid from another character (such as a Heal check or magical healing), then the character no longer loses hit points. The character can make a DC 10 Constitution check each hour to become conscious and disabled (even though his hit points are still negative). The character takes a penalty on this roll equal to his negative hit point total.
If a character has become stable on his own and hasn't had help, he is still at risk of losing hit points. Each hour he can make a Constitution check to become stable (as a character that has received aid), but each failed check causes him to lose 1 hit point.
You are stable at this point Dimitrious
