Jax's presence is overwhelming!! XD
Noro the iron maiden |
Still at the other door wondering if there is anything on the other side.
MichaelCullen |
Ah his treasure is legendary but it's hiding place unknown to most. I was once in his more direct service and have had this done so as to remember its location.
The map tattooed on the Isabella Locke’s back depicts
the outlines of several small islands. A stylized half sun
sits to the right of the islands, while simple images of a
monstrous eye and the face of an aged, bearded king are
to the left. Beneath the map are five lines of crude verse:
From blue bight’s embrace
Spy the Grave Lady’s prize tooth
With the Dawnf lower’s f irst kiss
Climb the Captain’s wayward orb
To claim old king’s hoard
You recognize the islands as an unnamed archipelago in the Shackles north of the Ushinawa Isles and west of Besmara’s Throne.
The rest of the verses may have more meaning once you arrive, if you choose to go.
Noro you hear nothing behind the door.
Noro the iron maiden |

I found this door
.Suny. |
Suny is intrigued by the patterns on Isabella's form. Leaning close and gently tracing their outlines.
"Pretty...'
Diplomacy:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 To continue to try and be friendly

Rachel Riptide |
know geo: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
ugh, I would know it with my maps in the boat right?
"The islands look familliar. I will check the maps back at my quarters later on. So Isabella how did you track us. And what will you do when we release you?"

Noro the iron maiden |
Noro made the aid check so that should work for ya Captain.
Kyranda |
casts charm person on her
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target one humanoid creature
Duration 1 hour/level
Saving Throw Will negates; Spell Resistance yes
This charm makes a humanoid creature regard you as its trusted friend and ally (treat the target's attitude as friendly). If the creature is currently being threatened or attacked by you or your allies, however, it receives a +5 bonus on its saving throw.
The spell does not enable you to control the charmed person as if it were an automaton, but it perceives your words and actions in the most favorable way. You can try to give the subject orders, but you must win an opposed Charisma check to convince it to do anything it wouldn't ordinarily do. (Retries are not allowed.) An affected creature never obeys suicidal or obviously harmful orders, but it might be convinced that something very dangerous is worth doing. Any act by you or your apparent allies that threatens the charmed person breaks the spell. You must speak the person's language to communicate your commands, or else be good at pantomiming.
.Suny. |
Suny is also slightly in awe of Noro's door finding skills. (^_~)
The dice roller is being a b!tch.
Jax Kraven |
Jax will now catch up to his allies, no trouble has been found, no trouble will come, he needs not to guard the tower.
what in carnation is going on here. as Jax would be speaking with voice that one would hear from a wild west movie.
MichaelCullen |
will save: 1d20 + 5 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 5 = 16 The charm would have stuck had she not been being threatened by your allies. I love charms so I considered not giving her the +5 but I just could not justify it under the circumstances. Your allies are very scary.
@ Calah, you think you remember seeing something like those islands on one of your charts. If only you could remember where. You think with a little looking you could find them on the charts. Charts will give you a +4 bonus, putting you at 23 when you can get to them.
Well I will tell you how I have tracked you once you free me from my bonds. As for after that, I don't know. It is clear you bested one who bested me so attacking you might not be the best idea. I suppose I will try to find my boat and sail away.
.Suny. |
Suny frowns, "That don't seem like a good idea, leavin' and wanderin'. That Cap'n Harrigan? He din't seem like tha' most reasonin' fellow. Whut havin' such bad-trustin' crew like Master Plugg an' Mister Scourge about who's gone an' disappeared with his ship an' all." Suny points out to Isabella.
Diplomacy:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
"You sailin' across Cap'n Harrigan's path? With him maybe askin' after Master Plugg an' Mister scourge? Maybe tha' tale of them disappearin' with his boat might get all confuzzled with us, hey? Maybe Cap'n Harrigan wouldn't like you seemin' have let us an' them go? Cap'n Harrigan seemed ta' has a right dark temper. Maybe it be safer if'n ye stay with us?"
Bluff:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Suny smiles brightly, "Whut say ye stay with us an' we's can be findin' this shine all t'gether, hey?!" (^_^)
SUny is probably resisting a Will Save to go all 'Huggin' on the lass.
Calah Riptide |
Calah nods to Suny's story. "She speaks truth. Harrigan is sure to see that you have failed him and would not hesitate to punish you for it. By working together you might be able to avoid his punishments and assassins. Perhaps it would be wise to go in hiding at first and leave us a possibility to contact you. Perhaps you could tell us where you plan to hide?" Calah says, trying to sway Isabella into becomming an ally.
diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
MichaelCullen |
I will sail for Port Peril, I will be lying low, at least for a while. If you leave word for me at the Prancing Pony Inn, they will be able to get ahold of me within a couple days. Tell them you are looking for a new bell for your ship.
With that she holds up her tied arms hoping that Arjun's dager will cut her bonds not her.
Just be careful with that knife, it looks awfully sharp.
Calah Riptide |
Oh you, the prancing pony :P.
Calah nods to Arjun to cut her bonds.
After she is loose Calah adds "Very well. Don't rush out just yet, I set my companion Roc to guard the tower. So unless you want to get some more claw marks it would be better to sit tight untill we cleared the tower. Wouldn't want to ruin that pretty face now would we." Calah says with a wink.
She turns back to Noro and the rest and says "Very well crew, let's continue to clear the tower. I'm wondering what loot they have left for us here."
Taking 10 for a 22 on perception check for loot
.Suny. |
Suny gives Isabella a light, friendly hug once she's free, then scampers about looking into things about the place.

Dimitrious will follow behind Noro perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
MichaelCullen |
Prancing Pony Inn was a landmark around where I am from. At least I think that the name of it.
Isabella returns the hug thankful to be free of her bonds. I suppose I won't be needing this. She hands Calah a lock of blueish hair. Harrigan took this from you the day you were press ganged, he thought it an oddity. It also helps with scrying. I would just scry and then wait for you to go over to your charts and see where you where headed. It was not too hard to guess you would come here once I saw you were headed this way.
Meanwhile on the second floor:
These rooms appear to be the living quarters of the tower's guards. Two large chests sit in the corner of the corner room.
Arjun Srivastava |
Arjun leisurely takes his time opening the locks. No distractions or deadlines.
Take 20, total Disable Device check 29.
"One chest contains 600 platinum pieces as well as 5 bottles of fine chelaxian wine. The other contains an old book. It's cover is plain and reads, "More than an Empty Hand". It appears to be a holy book of Korada that deals with his more martial side. It contains techniques for grappling and sparring."
Calah Riptide |
"Clever girl. Does he have other effects of ours her could use for scrying?"
Nice work, the platinum will be a nice reward, as are the fine wines. Perhaps Noro could learn something from the book, if she doesn't find the read too boring."
.Suny. |
Suny gives Arjun a big smile and a 'Thumbs up' at the fruits of his labour. Though she only sniffs at the bottles.
"No rum..."
She too wanders around looking at/into things.
Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 (Aid another)
We;re on the second floor now, right?
MichaelCullen |
None that I know of, I think he took the hair before he had any idea he would need something for scrying.
With a little reading and a lot of practice the book could be of some help to Noro. It will allow anyone to take weapon specialization (unarmed strike) giving a +2 to damage without meeting the prerequisites, I.E. Fighter level 4. A +2 bonus will also apply to CMB damage rolls that do not involve weapons.
Noro the iron maiden |
Noro first will take a bottle of wine, not rum, but jusht ash good. popping the cork she takes a swig, then hands the bottle over to Sunny. urging her to try some.
Try it, might put shome boobsh on that elf chesht
If the book is offered to Noro she will take that to look over (probably for later.)
.Suny. |
Suny takes the proffered bottle... though she seems more distracted now by Noro's comment about anatomy than the wine. Looking from herself to Noro, Isabella and Calah.
*Experimental fondle...*(Random Roll:1d4 ⇒ 1, [1:Isabella,2:Self,3:Noro,4:Calah])

no, but without a rest, I'm down on spells. Besides what time of day is it anyway. As he looks outside, but cannot judge time without a watch and too bad those things didn't exist back then.
Dimitrious Black |
Dimitrious will continue searching area b4 Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

Dinitrious finds decent cotton sheets on the beds. He also finds the personal effects of the guards, including a locket, a few copers and some letters. The more valuable things were in the chests. His mind wanders back to rumors he heard in port about the treasure buried here.
The book allows the taking of the feat as a feat. It also has done worth as it is penned beautifully and well illustrated.
Dimitrious Black |
Nothing in here captain but some decent sheets, a locket and some change...Wait I found some letters, perhaps we may glean some information from them
Dimitrious will begin reading the letters
Calah Riptide |
"Reading can come later Dimitrious, there might be more in this tower. Let's secure it first. Noro? Go get em girl."
Dimitrious Black |
No problem captain Dimitrious will secure the letters and head down to the first floor behind Noro
.Suny. |
Suny helps Isabella get her stuff together and ready to follow every one else. (^_^)
MichaelCullen |
Venturing down to the forth floor, you find the rest of the tower deserted. The first floor was used for storage of the various goods needed to supply the guards of the tower over extended periods of time. Flour, corn, barley, rum, wood, fresh water, nails, rope and the like. You also find a pile of gear in a clump in the corner.
My effects. Isabella states as she begins to walk over to them.

Noro the iron maiden |
Noro perks up at the word Rum.
how much rum?
Rachel Riptide |
"So Isabella, how did that crazy cleric catch you? Do you have any information to share concerning this isle?"
-Posted with Wayfinder
MichaelCullen |
He used his channels and spells to lock me in place. Then he had his guards tie me up and gag me so I could not cast my spells. As far as this isle I know that it is famous amongst pirates as a launching place for careers. I know that there is supposed to be a large amount of treasure buried beneath the tower. I know that whomever last conquers this tower has the fealty of the local villages on the surrounding islands. What else is there to know?
.Suny. |

Under the tower, you say Dimitrious will begin a thorough search of the floor looking for loose floorboards.

Yeah I know the feeling, leasht you didn't have fire on top of that. Noro mutters recalling a rather painful experience.
Least i beat the livin pissh outta that guy for ya though
Noro takes one of the rum bottles and drinks straight from the bottle.
Shunny, I like you more an more each day. Yer friggin' rum magnet.

Sunny blushes and giggles at Noro's compliment. (^_^), even as she continues to hand out mugs and cups and such.
