Tully is the only one who beat Owlbear, which is why the rest of you can't benefit from that. All of the crew are impressed by his abilities in combat, regardless of whether he actually is the best at it. Lol, it's like prison, you find the biggest guy on the cell block and beat him down to show the other cons whose boss.

@DM: Oops. I really had no intention of pushing Plugg over the railing. Sandra was just calling Plugg away from Ko'ulu so he got a breather, instead of a constant game of pin-pong between him and Scourge.
I was trying to figure out how she could help him with being a messenger, and distracting someone so Ko'ulu could get a break was the best that I could come up with.
It's all good. I figured it wasn't something nefarious or anything, it was just the way it read I suddenly wondered if I was going to have a PC keelhauled lol.
:) yeah, Fishguts either won't like him or won't care at this rate. Tully's tried, Xanxan's tried.
It could be someone else's turn though at this point, Xanxan is tempted to find a way to water down the rum for the whole crew and see what a few days of sobriety do to them

Callum gave it the ol' college try. He was getting extremely tired of the bad food (no offence Tully). Took the rum to get some bonus. Guess he might not have needed it (unless Kroop has less than 10 charisma), but at least it might have undone some of the damage.

None taken. There is no doubt that I have failed to cook a decent meal since I woke up on this tub. The really hilarious part of this is that, IRL, I run a restaurant! Profession (General Manager) Check: 1d20 ⇒ 19

Doubt Cal could've taken Owlbear so easily, especially since he was fatigued (I did think about stepping up but then remembered the fatigue and was like 'forget that, let someone fresh who is either stronger or faster do it'. Must be getting old).
Nice roll, lol. Looks like you make for a good restaurant manager even without any bonuses, lol.

Could Calvin cast CLW on Callum during the day to heal up some of the damage he received on the fall? Would that need to be his ship action for the day? I assume if he was on the deck and saw him fall, he'd move over to help out the Hat man.
Yeah, you can cast it. A standard action spell amidst an entire day of activity isn't enough to warrant a full Ship Action. Post your dice roll and I'll update the campaign tab from there.
Oops. I think my edit and action crosss posted with your response, DM. I thought he failed, natural one despite the +9 bonus... but if you're feeling merciful I'm all for that and will gladly take it :)
Usually for me, Nat 1's are only auto-fails in Combat. Occassionally skill checks might be involved but it's a rare instance. So even though you nearly botched it, you managed to get your job done.
Dangit! You stole my plot hook! I was going to wait until Callum made a move on her, then have all the misery and pangs of unrequited teenage love. Mostly as an excuse to talk bad about Callum ;-) Now I have to come up with a new plan!!!

You guys obviously haven't seen Howard the Duck. Girls are unable to overcome their natural attraction to short, soft, feathery avian gentlemen. I'm sure there will be other nice pirate wenches to go around.. in time. (Especially that Tessa....*whistle* one hot little Calistra worshipper there.)

Callum is married to piracy and the sea. That being said, since you can't, in reality, actually marry the sea or piracy, a Cleric of Besmara is the next best thing.
Anyhow, there's plenty of ladies of different sizes to go around, most of them are friendly (or helpful): Samms, Badger (needs some work), Rosie, and Grok. And if you want to dip into the officer's pool there's Patch and Peppery.
And I'm sure a bit longer on this ship without landfall, some of the rats will start looking good.
I just hope Xanxan has won Badger over with his day action.
EDIT: Woops. Missed that bit about getting her to friendly. :) Yay. We're getting allies (or at least fewer folks who want to kick our collective ###ses)

Wow, Tully, nice rolling. With those bonuses and rolls you could probably crack those tougher nuts (like Conch or Tate) and turn them to Helpful in one roll, lol.
I'm standing on your shoulders for this one Callum. You got him to indifferent, and discovered his "Angle". I thought about going after Narwhal again (and maybe should have with that roll), but decided to try to win allies before trying to convert enemies.
But, Xan is right. We're becoming quite the popular clique in our little schoolyard. Now... Who get's the Homecoming Queen...?
FYI: I hope it's the preppy kid... [/fingerscrossed]
Yeah. Pretty soon we need to really spend some time searching the ship. We've been pretty reluctant to do that, so far. Xanxan, may I introduce you to my friend the Owlbear? And show you this lovely set of stairs leading up to the officers quarters that lies behind him? ;-)
You guys have been a rather timid group of pirates. No drinking, early to bed, working hard. Geez, what a bunch of squares lol. ;-)
Granted as Jirobo demonstrated, poking around has its risks. The ship is a very organic beast, in the sense that it isn't all completely low level friendly. Certain things you can handle, certain things you can't. You've all actually done a good job so far of figuring out what is and isn't in your capability range.
