Male Human Freebooter 3 / Pirate 1 [HP 37/37 || AC 17, T 12, FF 14 || F +4, R +7, W +2]

Good luck Calvin. Your quirkiness was a blast and will be missed.

Male Fisherman 4, Hp: 31/31, AC 17, T:12, FF:15, F+3, R+0, W+1

Take care Calvin. Your chaos was well played and non-disruptive. Quite excellent actually. I wish you the best of luck and look forward to your return.

Hey everyone. I am so sorry. Work and a crashed hard drive (in a MAC!) have conspired against my PbP'ing. The hard drive will be repaired soon, but my time may or may not be. I believe that I need to step away from the boards for a bit longer.

This pains me, as I have loved this game and you the players. I'll try to come back to the boards once the load lightens, but I completely understand that you can't wait around for Calvin that long.

You've been wonderful, patient and creative. Thanks for adventuring with me.

Hope everything picks up for you. You'll be missed

Male Human Sea Singer 1

That's really unfortunate, Calvin. I hope everything works out for you, and I hope I'll get another opportunity in the future to RP with you. It's been fun!

So it turns out I was distributing the whippings a little erroneously. You guys have benefited from it, but you will be coddled no longer! ;-) But yeah, the whippings for failure at a job vs getting caught spilling rum are different. Job failure is a sliding scale based on number of times, rum rations is a set number. You'll notice this in the next post.

So be thankful you're all second level when I finally realized this lol.

Wow, really not liking that if I include mutliple die rolls in a string it's changing the format to a long column. Don't know if the site is having problems or if this is an "enhancement" but either way, it sucks.

And lastly, welcome to our newest player Tylos Vielent!

Male Human Sea Singer 1

Welcome, Tylos!

(Male Wizard(Spellbinder) 4, Hp: 20/20, AC 12(16w/MA), T:12, FF:10, F+1, R+3, W+4)

Hi everyone!

So excited to be a part of the game. I've been lurking since the beginning and you guys have been incredible. Thank you DMJ for the invite! Looking forward to sharing long hours, no pay, and harsh discipline with you all.

Lol, sorry Tylos that your welcome to the game IC will need to wait till the morning when you're healed up enough to talk. ;-)

Male Human Sea Singer 1

Nah, you came in at a fortunate time! We just got paid (sort of), for the first time ever! Now, if only I can identify what's in this vial...

Oh sorry, my bad. Harrigan would have told you, or Grok would. It's a potion of cure moderate wounds.

(Male Wizard(Spellbinder) 4, Hp: 20/20, AC 12(16w/MA), T:12, FF:10, F+1, R+3, W+4)

I can help with that when I wake up.

And no problem DMJ it'll be fun to see what happens. I imagine some delirious ravings are in order lol.

Male Gnome Rogue-4 (Saves-F+2,R+8,W+1; Perception +9(10 vs traps);HP 21/27)

As they say in Ulfen talk, "Velcome to our new vonderful vizard"

HP 27 || AC 15, T 13, FF 12 || F +4, R +4, W +8 || Init +7, Per +12

Welcome aboard the merry Wormwood, Tylos, or as we affectionately call it, The Ship That Plots To Kill Us. Unfortunately, I see I'm now the main healer of the group. And I don't have enough to go around. So which of you three unconscious souls wants my last Cure light wounds the most? Please submit an essay of no less than ten pages of why you deserve the positive energy.

Male Human Sea Singer 1

Don't fret too much, Jirobo. Tully will help carry some of the healing slack soon.

Male Fisherman 4, Hp: 31/31, AC 17, T:12, FF:15, F+3, R+0, W+1

Nice to have you here!

Hey, you can end up getting whipped like Ko'ulu all the time too!

Ko'ulu is the whipping boy on this ship. Apparently not drinking rum is as much of a crime as spilling it.

Who knew!

(Male Wizard(Spellbinder) 4, Hp: 20/20, AC 12(16w/MA), T:12, FF:10, F+1, R+3, W+4)

I'm a bit more fragile though so hopefully I can keep my big mouth shut lol.

Thank you all for the welcome!

Male Human Sea Singer 1

Yes, the boards are definitely glitchy today. I've had a number of weird issues, mostly relating to [/ooc] and [/dice].

Male Gnome Rogue-4 (Saves-F+2,R+8,W+1; Perception +9(10 vs traps);HP 21/27)

DMJ, Xanxan went seeking Miss Quinn as a day action hoping she could do something about his weakened state ie Lesser Restoration etc . Safe to assume he either didn't find her or she doesn't have anything memorized at this time that would help?

Male Human Freebooter 3 / Pirate 1 [HP 37/37 || AC 17, T 12, FF 14 || F +4, R +7, W +2]

Glad to have you aboard Tylos. And wow DMJ, that was one fast recruitment.

EDIT: And 6 lashes for spilling rum?!?! Ow! I'm going to have to really roll better next time, lol.

HP 27 || AC 15, T 13, FF 12 || F +4, R +4, W +8 || Init +7, Per +12

Okay, last cure went to the elf at -7 hp at the time. Maybe Ms. Quinn will grace us all with a channel if we sweet talk her enough, otherwise, it'll be a few hours before you two wake up, Callum and Ko'ulu.

Male Human Freebooter 3 / Pirate 1 [HP 37/37 || AC 17, T 12, FF 14 || F +4, R +7, W +2]

I'm good with that. I could use a break from the whole rum dealio since I seem to have trouble making the correct rolls.

Male Fisherman 4, Hp: 31/31, AC 17, T:12, FF:15, F+3, R+0, W+1

Its fine. I need to sleep up some hp anyways.

I think that this is going to be a continual occurance for Ko'ulu. Hey does anybody know of any achievment feats regarding being lashed?

Ko'ulu needs to get some clarification. So he is getting whipped for not spilling rum now?

Sorry, thought it was clear. The whippings are not for spilling rum vs carefully returning. The crew is REQUIRED to drink their rum ration because it helps keep them docile, what with the Fatigue and the Con damage. Whether you spill it, dump it over the side, refuse to take a cup at all, it's all the same in the end. You're not drinking what you've been told to drink.

Male Fisherman 4, Hp: 31/31, AC 17, T:12, FF:15, F+3, R+0, W+1

Whippings it is!

Ko'ulu comes out and stands between the posts holding a jar of cream.

Ko'ulu emerges from below decks wearing a red cone on his head.

Ko'ulu stands between the posts squeezing a roll of toilet paper.

(Male Wizard(Spellbinder) 4, Hp: 20/20, AC 12(16w/MA), T:12, FF:10, F+1, R+3, W+4)

I just couldn't resist

Male Gnome Rogue-4 (Saves-F+2,R+8,W+1; Perception +9(10 vs traps);HP 21/27)

Xanxan as cruise director and guide on our own special love boat. :)

Male Gnome Rogue-4 (Saves-F+2,R+8,W+1; Perception +9(10 vs traps);HP 21/27)

Given what you've said, DMJ, would it be possible for Xanxan to just rush right over to Grok that morning and pick up the elf's good and return it to him before the bell started?

Yeah that'd be fine.

Male Gnome Rogue-4 (Saves-F+2,R+8,W+1; Perception +9(10 vs traps);HP 21/27)

Poor Ko'ulu. The Tigerman does not have the best days on this ship sometimes.

Male Fisherman 4, Hp: 31/31, AC 17, T:12, FF:15, F+3, R+0, W+1

I hate computer networks sometimes...I just lost my whole post.

(Male Wizard(Spellbinder) 4, Hp: 20/20, AC 12(16w/MA), T:12, FF:10, F+1, R+3, W+4)

I always copy it before I post. After the first 5 or 6 times that happened to me lol.

Male Human Freebooter 3 / Pirate 1 [HP 37/37 || AC 17, T 12, FF 14 || F +4, R +7, W +2]

I hate when that happens. Especially if you're creating a new alias and were writing an extensive background then bam! All gone. When I remember to, I try to select all and copy the text before previewing or submitting, or I type it up in notepad. Of course I hardly ever remember to do either so I still end up losing posts.

EDIT: Just as bad is my penchant for accidentally hitting the "back" button on the mouse or keyboard.

Male Fisherman 4, Hp: 31/31, AC 17, T:12, FF:15, F+3, R+0, W+1

Oooh I hate when I do that too.

Male Fisherman 4, Hp: 31/31, AC 17, T:12, FF:15, F+3, R+0, W+1

I will attempt again in an hour or so. I need to jam through a review on a major report.

You guys know the weekend laze that generally keeps me post empty but I just wanted to pop on and say kudos on the intros to the new member of your crew. Excellent job! We'll get things moving along soon enough.

Male Gnome Rogue-4 (Saves-F+2,R+8,W+1; Perception +9(10 vs traps);HP 21/27)

No worries. We all know what its like to be the 'new guy' ;)

Yes, the hazing will begin shortly...

(Male Wizard(Spellbinder) 4, Hp: 20/20, AC 12(16w/MA), T:12, FF:10, F+1, R+3, W+4)

YES SIR MAY I HAVE ANOTHER!

Male Gnome Rogue-4 (Saves-F+2,R+8,W+1; Perception +9(10 vs traps);HP 21/27)

MMm... not sure working diligently OR NPC help will help Xanxan with his con check. Or am I reading this wrong?

In this partocular case, the Con check is your job so you will be able to benefit from the NPC help and/or work dilligently when you make the check. The NPC help doesn't help the Con check on when it's an additionaly check above and beyond the job itself. Weird gray area I know.

Gross.

I have no idea what's happening. But, I had five 1's, a couple of 2's, and a whole lot of single digits...

I hope we're golfing...

HP 27 || AC 15, T 13, FF 12 || F +4, R +4, W +8 || Init +7, Per +12

I swear that next level every bleeping skill point is going into Climb and Swim...

Male Fisherman 4, Hp: 31/31, AC 17, T:12, FF:15, F+3, R+0, W+1

Lol! Funny Jirobo.

Tylos, I can't tell what you are actually doing? Did you use a power or spell?

If so, we typically put it in an ooc like: Tylos casts Darkness at a point 20 feet in front of him. The spell has a radius of 20'. Will save DC:14

Male Gnome Rogue-4 (Saves-F+2,R+8,W+1; Perception +9(10 vs traps);HP 21/27)

Poor Xanxan, the spirit is willing, but the climb rolls are weak.

(Male Wizard(Spellbinder) 4, Hp: 20/20, AC 12(16w/MA), T:12, FF:10, F+1, R+3, W+4)

Sorry it was both a power (the teleporting thing) and a spell (silent image) to block the refuse being thrown at us.

Male Fisherman 4, Hp: 31/31, AC 17, T:12, FF:15, F+3, R+0, W+1

Its been 2 days since we went fishing. I would think that we would have recovered the Str damage since then, 1 per day right?

Ko'ulu I accounted for the Str healing after the first day, but you are correct that I missed updating the healing from the previous evening. You will be back to normal and Xanxan will only have 1 point of damage left. Campaign tab updated.
