Drosil makes his way toward the cultist, but has to step around Feral; the slight detour forces him to stop short of attacking.

Feral rushes towards the cultist and bites him.

B'yelka moves to stay with Anton as the others rush off after the fleeing cultist.

Janos charges at the cultist, intent on catching him before he is able to flee. The half-elf barrels at the man with his sword low, driving it at him, and through him. The cultist dies with a strange gurgle.

In the shadow of a crumbing tower lies a barren swath of muddy red earth that likely once served as the town square. A large trench has been excavated in the center of the square, and a confusing jumble of half-unearthed bones jut from its churned earth.

Next to the pit, the Five spot two more robed cultists trying to herd a dozen skeletons into some kind of formation. They are busy enough that they don't notice the Five watching them from the ruined building across the square.

How do you want to approach them?

I can't make it out from here, Janos can you see what they are doing in that pit?

He surveys the scene carefully before adding;

We won't be able to sneak past them. We can hit them hard and fast before they expect it but we will draw whatever is left of them in this village so we will have to dig in for a tough fight. I say we do it.

"Anton, I think those two cultists are yours. Send the arrows fast. Drosil, Feral, and I will move up to the inevitable rush of skeletons. Spread out so they can't surround us easily, but don't go too far to get enveloped. It'll be a slog, but we have to give Anton time to finish off the necromancers." He looks at the Fletching and the werewolf and nods. "B, a little song to dance by should make this more enjoyable." He winks at her.

I don't have a clear shot with all those skeletons around them. the paladin shakes his head. But if B'yelka has some trick up her sleeve to take out a group in front of them and clear the way, aye I'll feather them.

B'yelka, do you have any area effect magic? If not, I can take aim and take the -4 to hit

Not to worry my lady. Anton says, reaching into his quiver. Feral, as the biggest target here they are likely to swarm you, think you can handle that? he adds with a smile.

Anyone got any better ideas? I haven't got anything better than just wading in to be honest. I can try and channel positive energy to affect multiple skellies but the save wouldn't be particularly high.


So literally just walk up to them and start hitting?

"Anton, Feral do your work on the signal. Janos, we won't be able to see you so if you can give a shout ass you begin to move I can strengthen our arms in time for you to make this fast. Feral, you will hit them as they surge around Drosil and Janos. With Anton and I back this far, we will see if any others approach and give you warning."

As the boys get ready B'yelka wracks her brain for just the right piece to ensure their success. Ah! Yes of course...

As the soft crunching of fades into the distance, B'yeka casts an obfuscating spell on herself, Vanish She then waits as the two invisible warriors close on the enemy. As soon as Janos gives the signal she begins singing.

The skellie blob is about 70' from the building you guys are in. If we are starting with a volley from Anton, then I need to get those rolls. I don't think we need a map for this, since the skellies are going to drop fast. Take in account the 70' between you guys, and give me three rounds of attacks. I'll summarize after that.

As soon as Anton's arrows whistle free from his bow, the towering form of Feral bounds across the intervening field between the Five and the cultists and their skeletons. As he rushes forward, he uses his arms almost as often as his legs, churning up the damp, clotted dirt behind him in dark clumps.

He arrives with a frightful roar and a series of thunderous, overhand blows as he tries to shatter any remaining skeletons into dust.

I think we should go G > F14 > F6 etc personally. I know Jelani will need a consensus before we move on but it makes sense to me to go to the furthest point and make our way back?

Overlooking the town square stand the battered remnants of what must have once been an impressive tower. Now only the tower’s ground floor and half of its second floor still stand, and catapult balls lie scattered about the piles of broken stone and masonry at the tower’s base. Of the top of the tower, only a jagged crest of stone remains; the tower’s roof has been ripped off, and much of the rear portion lies buried in rubble. Remarkably, a pair of massive stone doors still hangs within the
entrance of the tower’s battered facade.

Despite extensive damage, the tower’s great stone front doors still hold fast, and are barred from within (hardness 8, hp 30, break DC 30).

How difficult might it be to climb?

Can I apply a hero point to this roll?

Feral pushes Anton aside as the Desnan struggles against the door. "Allow me. Heh heh haaaah." He draws his enlarged mace as he chuckles, and with a gleam in his eye, he brings the massive weapon crashing into the door, blasting it off its hinges with the second swing.

As the arrows start raining down, Anton shouts to Feral;

They don't want us in here, so this is where we want to be! Get the doors open Feral, we'll cover you!

With that, he reaches into his efficient quiver for blunted arrows and sends his own volley back up in retun.

Janos begins to draw his bow when he realizes that unlike Anton, he has no blunted arrows. He growls. "My arrows will make little effect, Anton!" He races across the field, following Feral to the door. The Ranger holds his shield high, trying to reach the werewolf and protect him.

Can Janos try to hold his shield over Feral to give him the +2 Shield bonus? It's not strictly an Aid Another (which requires him to be threatening the skeletons and uses an attack bonus).

Feral's like 12 feet tall at the moment, Janos. Unless you've been holding out on revealing some Mr. Fantastic-like stretchy arms, I don't think you can help him all that much in that regard =P

As the skeletons open fire, Feral looses a throaty roar as he brings his mace crashing into the already buckling door a second time. And though several of the arrows find his flesh, they bounce off leaving little other than bruising behind. Kicking the bits of door out of the way with a gravelly laugh, he waves B'yelka, Janos, and Drosil through into the tower.

Janos runs up with the full intention to help shield Feral, only to realize the werewolf's massive size as he steps next to him. "Oh right, I guess I can't-" He looks up at the archers and holds the shield over himself. "Hurry, Feral! Break it down!"
