Before we opened the door, Jorin helped Hadassah haul the dog to this level.
As we open the door, Jorin is standing at A8 so he can cover the doorway without being in anyones way.

Jorin readies his weapon and looks into the room when the others open the door.

I did say southwest, assuming we came up where the room is broken off. Is that where we came up?


You came up where the tower is broken to the east... so there was a door to the north and one to the south... thank goodness I didn't sod it up and you did pick the south door.... it looks like we are back on track.

Jorin moves to C6. From there he can watch both doors and easily move to help those at the front if needed.

Quietly, I can watch the other door from here so nothing can sneak up behind us.

Once everyone is ready, I'll stand to the side against the wall and reach over and open the door. Sound like a plan?
The door does not appear to be trapped, though I am wary of something being on the other side. When all are ready I'll open the door, off to side here of course.

I am putting people along walls unless the say they are standing in the open - will post the new map but IF YOU ARE NOT or IF YOU WANT TO CHOOSE then I need a reference where you are in the old room you are in at the moment. When you move into the new room we'll need a new map reference grid for the new map. Apologies.

A Javelin shoots through the air when the door is open - Raul is ready to charge but warned by Flinders is out of the way enough to be missed. Only Raul can see into the room but he can see that racks for weapons line the walls of this chamber; above the racks hang various shields, pieces of armor, weapons, and standards on display. Most of the racks are empty, but a few weapons remain in place.

Flinders looks back at the others and points his index and middle fingers at his eyes and then the doorway. He then quietly hums a liitle tune. Expends one point of archaeologist's luck. +1 luck bonus With his bow at the ready he tries to quickly peek in the doorway to see any attackers, before getting back behind the wall.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 1 = 10
If Flin sees anything and still has actions left he will try to get off a shot before stepping back out of the doorway. Any who was close enough to hear him hum, will hear what sounds like, Like a Good Neighbour State Farm is There ;)

From his position, Jorin should be able to see a small sliver of the room. (Most of columns 6 and 7.) Can he see anything moving it that area?


Raul can see a large crossbow crudely mounted on an armour rack that rocking back and forth and Jorin nothing interesting. Flinders,closest to the door notes there is an odor horrible stench is starting to flow into the room as well, akin to the smell of rotten eggs mixed with the reek of an open sewer... looking round the edge and into the room, you see two lizard like humanoid's whose scaly hide is dull gray.

Jorin moves to H8 and readies his polearm to slash the creatures when they come close enough.

Jorin steps out into the open with a snear for the lizard things. He calls out.

Raul steps back 5 feet and prepares to charge with gruesome fury.
"Come and get me!" he roars.
5 foot step south, readied action, first enemy that steps in that line directly north of Raul is getting a charge/power attack/ferocious strike/destructive smite.

If they come through the door, I could get upto 3 AoO's so I will roll those now. That way you have them.

"To battle then! For Gorum!" Raul cries, advancing to F6 and taking up total defense. Upon entering the room, he holds his breath to avoid the stench.


I'll give you a +2 to your fort save....

Running into the old armory you take a final breath before entering on the hope of avoiding any stench... but it looks the range of the stench has shifted into the room you and the others are in and instead you get a lungful of the putrid odor.

Flinders you are in range of the stench - Haddassah, you are as well but if you move you and your dog away back one then you'll be out of range an I'll not want a save
