Male Gnome Sorcerer/9 - (HP: 49/49 - AC20;FF17;T18 - F+5;R+6;W+7 - Init+9 - Per+11)

Tirion steps forward in front of his taller companions.
More? More? Tirion raises his eyebrows. We found several blue dragons, slew the chief Wyrmlord, and then met with the avatar of Tiamat herself. All five of these heads, red, blue, black, green and white, are from the queen of dragons herself.

We go WAAAY back, he and I.,,

Tom blinks on his dog next to the guard. Gates and doors hand ceased to be an obstacle to him. He tilts his visor up on his helmet and speaks.

"Do not tarry. We also need to host a wedding here. All the people in the Vale will be invited. Throw the doors open to your town as we are here. We are now in Threat Condition All Dragons Are Dead."

As an afterthought: "Tomkin, paladin and stalwart supporter of law and good."

Male Gnome Sorcerer/9 - (HP: 49/49 - AC20;FF17;T18 - F+5;R+6;W+7 - Init+9 - Per+11)

Tirion looks over at Bofus.

I am not sure they can see us well. Hold on.

With that, Tirion casts Enlarge Person and then Fly on his roguish companion and himself, making both of them almost human sized, and able to easily fly above the others to be able to look at the wall guard eye to eye.

The guard looks with wonder upon all of you as the good news reaches his ear. "Is it true? The dragons have been destroyed?! May the light bless us! You are indeed the Heroes of Elsir Vale! Come in at once!"

A moment later the gates to Brindol swing open and you enter into the city.

"Lord Jarmaath will want to hear from you at once. May I offer to accompany you right there?"

He turns to another guard. Sir, please be a good fellow...get word to Captain Longbrow to meet us at Lord Jarmaath's place; he'll want the news first-hand, I guarantee!

Ready, friends? Let's go!

Tirion ambles along next to his similarly diminutive companion.
It has been an interesting journey since I first ran into you in the inn when that quasit attacked. Who would have known that it would lead to words hordes of hobgoblins and dragons.

Yes, this has been QUITE a trip, hasn't it?? Can you imagine if you'd just kept to yourself and not helped fight that little imp? I suppose...

Bofus turns somber for a moment

...I suppose it wouldn't have just been Cebre that fell that night...

after a few quiet moments, he shakes himself, and forces a smile--which becomes more natural.

She would not have wanted our victory tainted with sadness. I have mourned her, and will miss her...but I will remember her with fondness and love, and will not be dragged into despair this night!!

"Aye, the town has worked hard to restore walls and rebuild some of the burned down buildings. We have mostly been waiting for an all clear in the hopes that people can return to the city. I know we will all be pleased to hear the news you bring!"

Dungeon Master

The company leads their way through the quiet streets of Brindol. Several soldiers are at work repairing buildings and walls throughout. Several stop their work and watch you with a mix of suspicion and curiosity as you stroll by with the presence of Wyrmlord Ulwai Stormcaller at your side.

AC 18 hp 34 Attack +9 Longsword (1d8+6 (19-20x2)

Upon reaching Brindol Keep, one of Brindol's elite guards welcomes you.

"Hail Bofus! Hail Tirion! Hail Red! Hail Tomkin! Hail Mirrin! On behalf of the Lions, we welcome you back to the Keep. Do you wish for us to take your prisoner off of your hands? We can see that she is secured in a cozy little cell in the dungeons below."

Ah, that is an interesting tale, to be told over several pints of Beerswizzler brew...but this is no prisoner. Lady Stormcaller is a stalwart ally...she aided us in our most perilous hour, when turning back to her forsaken ways would have easily spelled our doom and earned her high regard from her erstwhile liege! She is a friend and any who do not afford her her due respect will feel my personal chastisement...not to mention that of her fiancée Tomkin--and he hits WAY harder than me

Very good, sir, do your duty. Please also inform your superiors that if she is not allowed entry, I will not enter the town either.

He looks back at Stormcaller. Like I told you: I don't do anything half-assed, and that includes suspecting people--and defending them.

Several moments later the familar face of Mantooth Lonngbrow returns from within the walls of Brindol Keep.

"Well, look who has returned! If it isn't my dear friends! I cannot speak enough of the elation that you bring to my heart to see your safe return!"

Mantoooth steps up to give you each a hearty clasp of his hand.

"So, what is this I hear of Wyrmlord Stormcaller coming forth as an ally, and one betrothed to Sir Tomkin. Are you certain that she has not pulled the wool over all of your eyes? Did she not inhabit the Ghostlord's Lair and plan the most evil of acts with her wyrmlord thugs? What makes you so certain that she is deserving of your mercy?"

"Master Dwarf, what exactly do you mean by nothing? Are you saying that there is no evidence that she is worthy of our trust and friendship?! Speak plainly that I may act with haste and prevent her unlawful escape. I fear that she may already have cast a spell upon all of you."

Mantooth, my friend! I have never lied to you, nor will I ever. There was no one more suspicious of the Lady than I was...I was *certain* she would turn on us as we faced Azzar Kul. Yet, she did not. She fought valiantly at our sides, using curative magic to save our lives more than once--even while we faced the Aspect of Tiamat herself!!

Believe me, I know a con when I see one--having run several--and you have my word: this is no con. Stormcaller is The Real Deal, and I give you my personal guarantee of her good faith and trustworthiness. And like I told your good Guard there...if she is not allowed free entry into the city, then I shall remain outside the walls as well. This is no threat, but a show of solidarity.

He grins broadly. Trust me!! *wink*

"Very well, my friends. I have no reason to doubt. You may proceed in and meet with Lord Jarmaath. I know that he will be just as eager to see you as I was."

However, I have been saved by your friends and I am no longer that wicked draconic scourge who once blindly followed the calling of the Queen of Dragons. You have my word, that I am a changed woman and you will have no trouble from me."

"Very well, Ulwai Stormcaller. You have been vouched for by the Heroes of Elsir Vale, and as such you are welcome to come and go from the gates of this city, but I warn you that we will not tolerate any trickery. You may proceed."

Dungeon Master

The Heroes of Elsir Vale pass through the main gates of Brindol Keep and through the familiar corridors to Lord Jarmaath's reception chamber. They are politely greeted by a Brindol Lion guard. Shortly thereafter, the double doors are swung open and you are announced.

AC 18 hp 34 Attack +9 Longsword (1d8+6 (19-20x2)

The company steps through the double doors of Lord Jarmaath's chambers where they are announced by one of the Brindol Lions.

"Introducing, Sir Tomkin, servant of Chaldira!"

"The honorable, Sir Mirrin of the Deep!"

"The extraordinary bard and master storyteller, Red, the Rebel of Galt."

"The sorcerer, Tirion, of Uldar."

"The honorable, seller of beers and fine wines, Bofus Beerswizzler."

The High Lord of Brindol

Kerden Jarmaath stands to his feet at your announcement and welcomes you with open arms.

"Alas, my most loyal of Heroes have returned to Brindol Keep! How I have waited for this day! Come forward and tell me of the news you bring. Tell me the tale of what has befallen you since you left the safety of these walls. And do tell me of this striking woman who accompanies you."

"Yes we have. Brindol is free, the good people now able to forge a brighter future, just as Wyrmlord Ulwai and Tomkin will now forge theirs" Red bows in a friendly and jovial manner.

The High Lord of Brindol

"My friends, I am so pleased to see you all return alive. Please tell me the tales of your adventure!"

A while later, after listening intently to all of your adventures, the Lord of Brindol declares the following "My dear friends, you are truly Heroes of Elsir Vale! Upon hearing your tale, I am pleased to presents each with a land grant in or near any of the towns in the Elsir Vale of your choice. My only request is that you kindly help the people of Elsir Vale with whatever help they need recover and rebuild their settlements. If you decide not to stay in the Elsir Vale, please know that you will always be welcome to return any time you wish."

"Now, how may I assist in the planning of this wedding?"

Male Gnome Sorcerer/9 - (HP: 49/49 - AC20;FF17;T18 - F+5;R+6;W+7 - Init+9 - Per+11)

Tirion looks over at Bofus.
I learned a new trick on the travel back. I figured out how to take myself from one place to another, and I think to take others with me. Want to see if we can go to your dad's brewery and bring back some of that Beerswizzler Brew? I bet the town guards would be forever grateful, and the wedding will be that much better for it.

For story purposes, I am taking Teleport as my level 5 spell.

The High Lord of Brindol

"Bofus, do you think there is a chance that I could persuade your family to build a Beerswizzler brewery in Brindol? I think we could all benefit from such a move."

Tom moves in with a bow and a flourish. He waves to his lady love.

"Thank you my lord, this is the lady who kept many from falling in the two climactic battles with the Queen of Evil Dragons herself. But then I am a poor storyteller, Red and Lady Uldwai can do much better. We would like to settle down here, as this area will have many memories for us. Can we trouble you with a minor title and a small plot of land?"

The High Lord of Brindol

"Hmmmm?" Lord Jarmaath smiles at the halfling's humble request. "My dearest Tomkin, from this day forth you shall be known as Sir Tomkin, High Knight of the Elsir Vale. As for a small plot of land, well I do have a mansion that belonged to the Kaal family in Brindol. I doubt the lady of that house will be using it any more. Perhaps you would consider moving in and having it renovated?"

As people feasted and patted each other in the back a lone and scruffy dwarf quietly and discreetly packs his things on an equally ornery griffon including a pair of massive bloody sacks. Grumbling to himself about still needing to skin the beast or they'll never believe him the griffon riding dwarf flies off before someone does something unwise like try to thank him for his service.

Bard 5/Stormsinger 4; AC 22, Touch 15, Flat 17; hp: 22/52; Fort +4, Ref +13, Will +7.

"Tomkin, my dear? Have you seen Mirrin? I wanted to thank him for everything he did. I'm not sure that you would have made it without that dwarf."

Male Gnome Sorcerer/9 - (HP: 49/49 - AC20;FF17;T18 - F+5;R+6;W+7 - Init+9 - Per+11)

Tirion chuckles as Lord Jarmaath mentions the former Lady Kaal.
I would recommend hiring her as a servant, but she would probably poison the stew or burn down the place. She is the type to cut off her own nose to spite her face, or actually have a servant cut off their own nose.

Tirion then looks to the Lord:
I do not need much. A home here where I could practice my craft and help those in this great city. I could never compare with the amazing Harpwizard, but will do what I can with my craft to help this town rebuild so that it is better than before. It shall be a lesson to all those who would bring evil to a good community that good works together and not only defeats evil, but comes back stronger and healthier than it started.

The High Lord of Brindol

"So, my dear magical gnome, where would you choose to live? I will grant you any place here in this great vale. You are welcome to live in Brindol, but if you prefer a place in the country, I am happy to accommodate that as well."

Male Gnome Sorcerer/9 - (HP: 49/49 - AC20;FF17;T18 - F+5;R+6;W+7 - Init+9 - Per+11)

Tirion smiles:
Someplace safe, with a nice garden where I can grow fruits and vegetables. Within the city walls would be my choice, although I would not turn down an estate. It would be good for those who worked it, and any profit could be used to help the poor and the needy of the Elsie Vale. We all know that there are now many without homes or land or flocks and herds, these good folk I would welcome to farm any estate you might grant me, so that they would have a roof over their heads and food on their table.

"I don't think settling down is quite my style - the fans expect me to travel to their cities and towns and spread the love and magic, Poppy is just as restless and couldn't stay either... We wish you all the best and thank you for sharing the grand adventure with us" With that, Red and Poppy bid their goodbyes.

Red then absconds, taking a bottle of red wine with him.

Where did Mirrin go?? I'm sorry he didn't stay for the festivities...a pint of ale or four probably would have done him good.

My good Lord Jarmaath, I will gladly accept your offer of land...and I will give it to my father for setting up shop, supplying the good folk with all the Beerswizzler suds they care to put away. Tirion, i would love to "pop" in on my pappy--but as I wrote him not long before we left on our last adventure, he might already be in town!

he pauses a moment.

As for me...well, I'm sure I'll stay about town, but perhaps me and my dear Elyrial will find something else...I must find her and make sure she knows I'm back...

Female Elven Lover of Bofus the Brave

As if Bofus' words had summoned the beautiful elf, suddenly the doors to the Lord's great hall burst open and before you stands Elyrial.

"I cannot believe my eyes. My dear Bofus has returned."

Without wasting a moment, she rushes up to the halfling and picks him up off of his feet in a tight embrace followed by a kiss as tender and loving as the stories can tell.

I believe that we are all busy enough that this delightful campaign has run its course...and we should call it "complete." The most invested are myself and DMHW; as bittersweet as it is, I am OK saying...finis.

DMHW, if you feel continuing some RP out is needed for closure, I'm all for it--just say so. But if you're ready with Done...

and we say thankya big-big.
