Braelex |
Braelex frowns, trying to see what is going on ahead. Is it some kind of illusion? Surely a trick. There's no way they could have gotten here ahead of us.
If we move up into the room, she will try to discern the situation.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Will Save to disbelieve?: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 + 2 = 23

Old Friends round 1
Aidons elemental moves forward and Fulmen and Braelex try to suss the situation, but neither notice anything untoward. It seems that Natalya and Clarence are who they appear to be.
Vuloo releases his spell but the Varisian girl pushes through it and fires off her spell. Relan make a Will save DC14 with a +5 bonus or consider Natalya one of your very closest friends
Lockerbie screams and rushes down the hall on all fours to close on the crossbowman.
Awaiting Relan. The rest of you can post your actions
Relan* |
Will Save: 1d20 + 3 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 3 + 5 = 25
Relan shakes off the attempted compulsion and closes to attack. Already rolled that above.

"Natalya, why are doing this? You're a Pathfinder. You have honor. We saved you and this is how you repay us? If someone is coercing you we can help."
Fulmen will take a defensive stance as he tries to reason with Natalya.

Old Friends Round 2
Init: Clarence, Andel, Atlatia, Aidon, Braelex, Vuloo, Natalya, Lockerbrie, Amiculus, Relan, Fulmen
From the previous round ...
Relan shakes off the spell and smacks Natalya hard across the chin with the flat of his blade causing her to stumble a moment ... she looks about to go down and then shakes her head a moment staring, "Relan?" She asks confusedly before her eyes cloud over and she returns to a placid look, a bruise forming on her jaw.
This round
Clarence reloads quickly and fires another crossbow bolt at the fast approaching ghoul sending him crashing to the floor unmoving.
Andel hangs in the back, "What's going on ... what are we doing?!" just as a loud pop appears in the midst of the group. At the same time, one of the small creatures appears in the middle of the hallway to the west carrying a small crossbow
Elemental, Fulmen, Vuloo & Braelex take 1d6 ⇒ 6 sonic damage and make a Fort Save DC15 or be stunned 1 round
Vuloo casts another spell that Natalyas ignores yet again.
At Aidon before I adjudicate Natalya's action (Braelex can change her action still as well)
Clarence vs Lockerbie: 1d20 + 9 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 9 + 1 - 1 = 27; HIT!; Damage: 1d10 + 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 1 + 1 + 2 = 11
Natalya vs hold: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

Old Friends Round 2
Init: Clarence, Andel, Atlatia, Aidon, Braelex, Vuloo, Natalya, Lockerbrie, Amiculus, Relan, Fulmen
Aidon struggles with communicating with his elemental, and while the elemental doesn't understand it senses no over hostility from Natalya and Aidon's confused messaging leaves it sitting where it is.
Braelex and Vuloo take the brunt of the spell and stand holding their heads, shell shocked for a moment.
Natalya casts a spell defensively at Relan and the haft of his weapon becomes slick with an oily like substance. Make Reflex save DC15 or drop your weapon;
If Relan drops his weapon, Natalya moves 30 feet to the west. If he doesn't she 5-foot steps instead
Defensive Cast: 1d20 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 4 + 3 = 26
Actions for everyone, starting on Relan's turn
Relan* |
Reflex Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15 On the nose.
Relax looks saddened by the caster's action. He 5' steps as well and this time his power attack is with the sharp side of the blade.
+1 Cold Iron Ranseur: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 212d4 + 13 ⇒ (1, 3) + 13 = 17
Braelex |
Would not the elemental engage the obviously hostile derro, instead of standing stupidly?
Shaking off her ringing ears, Braelex moves up quickly and fires her crossbow as soon as she spots the derro.
Crossbow: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19; Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
DMFflash |
Forgot about derro, ha! Yes, this is true, but I also hate rolling for someone's summons because they don't post. Personal whine.
The elemental glides over to the derro ... and the soon to be named "Derro Bane" makes a bluish paste of this one as well.
To hit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Damage: 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Crit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Damage: 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Relan* |
Relan moves to the woman he just cut down and after making sure she is alright disarms her, including any obvious spell components. I am sorry my lady. he says to the unconscious form. But I can take no chances until I understand what is at play here. He will take a moment to make sure she is not wearing a disguise too.
DMFflash |
Natalya isn't wearing a disguise. As far as you can tell, both she and Clarence are who they appear to be. Relan removes Natalya's crossbow, shortsword and spell component pouch.
Looking to the west a curved hallway stretches left and right stone cell doors set along the wall. Each has small iron barred windows. Two of the doors are open. A quick review of the room turns up that two of the other cells are occupied. One appears to be a Tower Girl you fought a couple days ago and the other is a raving human man, bits of the blue fungus falling from his mouth which is full of blue-stained teeth.
Clarence is blubbering into his beard, bits of three day old food mixing with spittle and snot.
I'll update the map later, but its a semi circle with no other exits.

Relan* |
Can we get some healing for Natalya? There is much to sort out and I think she will be able to help us do that if we bring her around. My first strike at her was non-lethal so any healing should be doubly efficient.
DMFflash |
Vuloo s second spell brings Natalya around completely, curing her of all signs of Relans strikes other than rent clothing.
She awakes with a start, "W..w..where am I?" she stammers out, and then slowly realizes where she is.
"Relan, Bralex, Aidon ... what is going on?"

Vuloo |
Vuloo helps Natalya to her feet. "You're in the dungeons beneath the Crow. I believe you were under the influence of the derro. What's the last thing you remember? We will escort you back to safety on the surface."
Natalya Vancaskerkin *NPC* |
"I, ah, remember leaving the manor and then I recall being on a metal table tasting something horrible ... the rest is ... fog."
The derro has a light crossbow, 10 quarrels with some sort of blackish substance coating them, a wand, and a scroll of suggestion on her.

Natalya Vancaskerkin *NPC* |
"Bring who where? Where are we? Who else are you talking about?" Natalya looks confused.

Vuloo |
Vuloo rubs his chin, "It sounds like you may have been poisoned. I too am curious why you would have been brought here. I suspect the answers we seek lie deeper in the dungeon - perhaps with the derro. I suggest that we continue, if you don't mind accompanying us Natalya."
Vuloo will quickly listen for any signs of the derro before moving forward.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Relan* |
You attacked us Natalya. We found you here guarding this area and working with the Derro. I had to hit you pretty hard to knock some sense into you. For that I am sorry. I prey there will be no lasting damage.
Vuloo |
Vuloo will reiterate, "As I said, we're in the dungeons beneath the Crow. We don't know what happened to you or Clarence. We will protect you but we need to keep moving. Are you able to proceed?"
Braelex |
Braelex eyes the blue fungus the prisoners were force fed. "Fulmen, any clue what this blue fungus is?"
Knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31 in case it has any alchemical/arcane properties
"We can't be dragging around the whole gang. Leave 'em here with a guard, or escort them to the surface?" She frowns at the thought of backtracking... again.
Vuloo |
Vuloo checks to see if the cell doors are locked, "The blue toothed raver is a liability - I say we leave him in there for now. I'm willing to release the other three on their own recognizance. They can freely travel with us or return on their own."
"Let's backtrack to the larger room where we fought the derro and follow the southwest door."
