Male Half Elf Rogue 7

" I agree, let's regroup before we go back in..Make sure everyone is well enough to continue...cough"

Dalamus is back to about 50% of his health, but like Nem mentioned that one was close. If we had a more clear strategy that may have gone better, although we did have one....So it likely would have turned out the same. Now that we know what they are capable of, we can prepare for that Darkness spell..Ideas?

Male Human Wizard (Conjuror) 8

I can pick up daylight later or we can have Jenya prepare it, again later. Not much else we can do right now. Jenya should be healing... I'm not sure why you're still at 50%.

A good argument for delaying before we press forward. Let's go look at the other door and see what our options are.

I have normal light, but nothing that can combat magical darkness. Can anyone dispel the darkness, or aid those of us with mere human vision?

Male Half Elf Rogue 7

I am still at 50% because I was negative after the first round. That is all the healing that I have received, which is around 40HP total....not a small amount, but I am at 35/67...Not ideal condition, but I can muster the fight again.

Male Human Expert 1/Bard 3 (AC: 15, Touch: 11, Flat: 14, HP: 31/31; Saves: F:3, R:7, W:5; Per: +3; Init: +1)

Jenya has plenty of healing, you all just tell me what you want. I.e. channel or CLW, CMW, CSW.

do the channel that way she can save her other spells

Male Half Elf Rogue 7

Dalamus could use about 35....what does everyone else need? That will help to decide on her spell choice

Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 8 (AC 27 / Hp 83 / Init +6 / Fort +9 / Ref +9 / Will +7)

I am down about 15

Male Human Paladin (Oathbound Paladin - Fiends) 8; AC 21, HP 75/88, Fort +16, Ref +10, Will +13, Init +1, Greatsword +14(+9)/+9(2d6+7/19-20x2)

Spells 3/3 1st, 3/3 2nd; 3/3 smite evils (+7/+8/+7); 14/17 LoH(4d6), 1/1 DB (+2)

Epik is down 13.

A prestige point to the first person to accurately go back and tell me what spells and number of channels Jenya has left.

Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 8 (AC 27 / Hp 83 / Init +6 / Fort +9 / Ref +9 / Will +7)

I think she has only cast CSW on Dalamus and a Fervor on all of us.

Should have all 5 channels left as well

Female Human Priestess of Iomedae 7

Need certainty. Fairly certain she used a channel at one point.

Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 8 (AC 27 / Hp 83 / Init +6 / Fort +9 / Ref +9 / Will +7)

I have gone back and looked since the fight with the magical ape, all I counted was the CSW and the Fervor, no channels

Yes! If I only had a prestige group to spend it on....

"I think we should fall back at least a few seconds and let those of us who are sickened by the blight to at least catch their breath and see what else is going to come out that door"

"If anyone has a way to make me invisible I will fly up to check out that other door to make sure we are not going to get flanked here"

Can you quad move or anything like that when flying?

Female Human Priestess of Iomedae 7

I'd like to note there is still a fight going on ...

Epik scans the area looking for any remaining adversaries.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

"Yes Sam, we can fall back if necessary. I didn't realize the extent of out injuries."

Male Human R:1/F:4/OotB:2/DSniper:1 - AC: 25 (T:15, FF:21) HP:73/82, F9 / R13 / W8

That brings me back up to 73/82 hp.

I'll take a few seconds to scan the area:

Survival: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

Actions available when flying are the same, so you can "run" ... see restrictions on run action and fly.

The Balcony Round 10

Sam, Nemoris, Epik, Jenya, Nowzai, Magma, Charau-Ka Thugs, Akkituk, Dalamus

From Round 9: Dalamus moves in to strike the middle charau-ka and with Jenya's move bonus is able to get in position for a flank. (They are chaotic ... isn't it obvious? :)) The rogue slashes the saw tooth blade catching the creature in the back of the neck and he hears the blade sigh as it draws the life force out of the creature and it collapses.

Extra Damage (Sneak + Axiomatic): 4d6 + 2d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 2, 2) + (3, 2) = 17

Sam falls back encourage a tactical withdrawal. Nemoris searches for targets but cant see in the darkness so fires blindly over his comrades' heads but finds no satisfying screams.

Epik drops his bow and moves in to engage, drawing his sword on the way.

Jenya burst heals the group after moving a step closer to catch everyone but Dalamus who is out of range now. 14 hps from above

Nowzai moves forward. (Note the aura around Nowzai is the light ... you have to have darkvision to see beyond that or lowlight to gain double the range)

Magma steps back and attacks the final visible charau-ka (in the light) staggering it with two solid blows but the monkey-man remains standing. It attacks back with its club shrieking madly but fails to penetrate the stonechilde's thick armor.

Dalamus steps to the right and removes the creature's head with a vicious swipe, pink energy sailing from the sword which sings with joy as the apeman's head flies.

The remaining charau-ka in the darkness bares its teeth at Magma (and anyone else who can see it) and it backsteps slowly until it disappears beyond the range of darkvision.

CK vs Magmae: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
CK vs Magmae: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

Actions?

Male Human Wizard (Conjuror) 8

How long do we need to wait? Nowzai will busy himself casting a light spell on everyone's weapons. I assume Dalamus would opt out to remain stealthy...

Male Half Elf Rogue 7

Yes Dalamus does not need his sword to glow...The others will help just fine

Dalamus will fall back with the rest of the group, standing in the second line behind the bruisers.

Male Human Paladin (Oathbound Paladin - Fiends) 8; AC 21, HP 75/88, Fort +16, Ref +10, Will +13, Init +1, Greatsword +14(+9)/+9(2d6+7/19-20x2)

Epik power attacks the charau-ka on Magma.

Attack: 1d20 + 14 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 14 - 2 = 31
Damage: 2d6 + 7 + 6 ⇒ (1, 3) + 7 + 6 = 17

Attack: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 9 - 2 = 26
Damage: 2d6 + 7 + 6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 7 + 6 = 22

Female Human Priestess of Iomedae 7

Epik, no more visible charau-ka, Dalamus killed the one on Magma.

Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 8 (AC 27 / Hp 83 / Init +6 / Fort +9 / Ref +9 / Will +7)

Is Jenya really at 28 hp? She is on the map, just not sure if that is accurate

"I vote for at least falling back to the pipe we used to get to this area, if more things then we can handle show up, we at least have a way to escape, I am okay with pushing on if everything feels like we can and should. At least once everyone is no longer sickened."

Male Human Wizard (Conjuror) 8

"Retreat? No... if we need to wait here a minute, so be it, but lets not give them the chance to re-secure this gate."

Female Human Priestess of Iomedae 7

She took full damage from the unholy blight so yeah, she is down. Need to add the +14 from the channel though.

"Magma, stay put until we're all ready to advance together."

Nowzai turns to Dalamus, "No, I am not a priest, but Jenya has healed you twice and can do so again."

We probably need one more. Dalamus was just out of range of the first, so I think he may still actually be down a bit, and I'm down 9 or 10 hp.

I'm not pleased with the idea of going into the same place without having a way for half of us to see. Once we return to town I'll look for my own method of magical sight, but here there's little I can do.

I don't think your light spell helps Epik, Jenya, or I, does it Nowazi?

I'd like to check on the other door if Sam and I are the only two who don't want to press forward. It may not be quite so advantageous for our foes.

Climb Check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

Female Human Priestess of Iomedae 7

The light spell works fine it just has a shorter range (20 feet of light +20 feet of shadows) vs the 60 foot darkvision.

If Nemoris is the only one down, she'll drop a CLW

1d8 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

]If multiple folks are down, she'll dump a channel
4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 6, 2) = 16

Lemme know which one she uses and pick a 1st for her to drop if it's CLW

Nowzai casts light on up to 5 folks? (Nemoris, Epik, Jenya, Sam, Magma?)

5 rounds waiting as he casts and the sickened effect is gone.

Actions from here?
