Black Tentacles: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17; Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

"Bah! The demon has broke free... beware!"

Nowzai casts telekinesis and concentrates on the rakshasa.

SR: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31
Trip: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (2) + 18 = 20

Before Nowzai ... and possibly changing his action.

Zaur Sa breaks free and then flies up shooting toward the ceiling and then west down the hall about 45 feet.

The shiver in the walls becomes larger and a circular wave comes up from below moving everyone who is standing in the tunnel 30 feet up. If that puts you into Nowzais tentacles, please post your CMD to determine if you're entangled

Nowzai? Change or keep.action above?

-Posted with Wayfinder

Male Human Wizard (Conjuror) 10 / Loremaster 4

Yeah, in that case, will not cast the telekinesis. Instead, Nowzai will dismiss the tentacles and begin casting a summon.

Defensive Cast DC 25: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (17) + 18 = 35

Seeing the tunnel moving everyone to the tentacles , Nowzai swiftly cancels them and begins a summoning spell.

The giant, bleeding profusely takes one languid swing at Epik.

To hit : 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (4) + 20 = 24
Damage: 2d6 + 24 ⇒ (1, 1) + 24 = 26

At Epik and Sam for action. Magma and dalamus have posted.

Round 5

I can't access R20, but I'm assuming Epik is still within melee range with the giant.

Epik will power attack the Giant.

Attack: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (14) + 21 = 35
Damage: 2d6 + 26 ⇒ (3, 3) + 26 = 32

Attack: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (5) + 21 = 26; Fervor attack

Attack: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27
Damage: 2d6 + 26 ⇒ (1, 4) + 26 = 31

Epik cuts the giant down and drives his sword into his throat, ending the threat.

Male Fetchling Slayer 7/ Red Mantis 5

Dalamus will deactivate haste, leaving 5 rounds left for the day.

Anyone else posting actions?

I think Epik goes before me so Sam will actually move closer to the Rakasta

Male Fetchling Slayer 7/ Red Mantis 5

Dalamus will also approach the slain giant and inspect the body.

round 5
magma will move toward the rakasta and keep Fervor to attack and AC

Competitive Regurgitation Round 6

Initiative: Nowzai, Epik, Sam, Magma, Nemoris, Dalamus, Jenya, Zaur Sa, Kaurophon,

Sam and Magma move up as Dalamus checks over the dead fire giant. Jenya and Nemoris do things. The rakshasha zips around the corner of the tunnel out of view.

Kaurophon moves up to Dalamus and casts a quick spell. "The blade and shield are magical as are both his rings and his belt."

Actions Round 7? I'll have Nowzai move up to follow

Male Fetchling Slayer 7/ Red Mantis 5

"Quick then lets relieve him of these burdens. Let's not let rakshasha get away, I will take care of the giant and catch up with the rest of you. " Dalamus will start to remove the magical items from the giant. Then head down the tunnel with the rest of the party.

Round 7

Epik nods at Dalamus and sprints down the hall after the Rakshasa.

Other than Dalamus, is everyone else chasing the rakshasha? If so, Ill turn this into a narrative stopping at major events. I don't believe any of you are faster than him.

Male Human R:1/F:8/DSniper:2 - || 115 hp || AC: 28 (T:18 FF:23) F13 / R11 / W6

Not sure how many arrows I'd get at his back while he fled Tike, my range should be pretty good, but I don't know how much line of sight will last:

I'll roll ~10 attacks and see how it goes, with fervor haste, and base 40 move from longstrider, I think I go up to 100ft per round (base 30+10, 30 from haste, 30 from fervor), so I think I'd be able to do 200 feet movement and then attack once.

Hopefully I'll get a full 4 attacks on the last round before he starts to run.

Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25 Damage: 1d8 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19 Miss:1d100 ⇒ 35 Crit: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16

Full round (which I'll take unless I have no vision):

Single attack with 200 feet of movement before it:

I am faster then him (or damn close), with blessing and Fly I am at 120 - edit 90 - without having to do anything extra like double move

And I was pretty close to him before he fled, I would think I should be able to keep at at the very least and I am invis

Fly Check - 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (15) + 30 = 45

Jenya will use Mending on Nemoris's bow, it's a 0 level spell so do I need to roll the d4 or just assume she uses it until it's fixed?

Didn't say you couldn't keep up with him, just no one is faster thus I can switch to a narrative chase if he keeps moving. .

-Posted with Wayfinder

Nemoris will have to hang back with her or leave his bow behind to cast the spell every round if you're not rolling. Did you check CL of his bow?

-Posted with Wayfinder

I didn't notice that CL requirement, not sure what the bow is at. He had already dropped the bow during the fight and was using his backup

Hot Pursuit

The party sets off chasing the flying tiger ... headed competitor. Sam, also flying is able to keep pace and the pair of them leave the foot bound ones behind fairly quickly. The tunnel winds around as it climbs, making a couple of regurgitating pulses again which dont affect either of the fliers, but help to move the others along quicker. The last one carries a small dose of acid from the bottom of the tunnel and the faint scent of bile.

The tube’s upward spiral ends in a round chamber with a doorway in the opposite end leading to a spiral staircase. Furniture in this room is limited to a massive iron throne festooned with spikes. Most of the back of the throne is missing, although the framework of the back remains. Before the throne lies a pile of wood - furniture debris from the looks of it. There are ceramic shards on the floor; it looks as if someone smashed dozens of clay pots here.

Sam:
The rakshasha stops before the throne and glancing back and seeing no one, casts a quick spell, disappearing from sight.

Actions? Map is updated, Dalamus, Jenya and Kaurophon are still back with the giant's corpse and Nemoris' broken bow

Epik runs the remaining stretch into the room. He looks up at Sam, "Where is the rakshasa?"

Male Human Wizard (Conjuror) 10 / Loremaster 4

Hot Pursuit

Kind of an important detail was missed...

Before the rakshasa bolts, Nowzai finishes his summon spell, bringing 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 lantern archons. They will chase along with Sam and attack if it is in range. How long does the chase take?

If they see it turn invisible, they will detect evil and try to triangulate its position.

Tis key, what is their movement rate?

-Posted with Wayfinder

Male Human Wizard (Conjuror) 10 / Loremaster 4

Fly 60 ft (perfect)

They'll be quite aways behind, closer to Epik and Magma.

-Posted with Wayfinder

Male Fetchling Slayer 7/ Red Mantis 5

Hot Pursuit

Once Dalamus takes the items from the giant, he will head down there as fast as he can. If he loses sight of the others, he will activate haste as a swift action to catch up....or at least keep them in sight.

Once the archons arrive and receive direction from Nowzai, they get a bit shaky and stunned.

When they recover they tell you that the entire place radiates overwhelming evil. They are unable to parse out individual auras.

"He stopped by the throne, cast a spell and vanished"

No way with long arms I would have been able to get close enough in the time he stopped and cast his spell?

No, he went before you and was a full movement distance away at the start of each if his turns.

How did he go before me? did we drop out of the previous initiative? I was before him in the fight

He moved before you moved. In the round before you. You were never in melee range with him.

That sounds made up.

Seriously, though... we have some perceptive people in the group. Any help with the search?

You can go back and check when we were round by round to verify, but when I made the decision to go narrative, it was because no one could catch him

Anyone wanting to search, please roll perception. Your high perception guy is Magma, I believe but since he only posts like once a month, I wouldn't hold your breath

Can we see anything down the stairs or is it too dark?
