Alexei Petrescu |
Listening to the tactical advice from his halfling cleric, Alexei ignores the sinspawn for now, trusting the others to handle it, his focus is the tiny demon. Squinting to line up sight, and exhaling, he releases another cold iron arrow.
Try as he might, the Varisian archer misses sometime, unfortunately, this was one of those times...

Meanwhile, Beromar is immediately seized with freezing cold pain, the second he enters the water.
Cold Damage for Beromar: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 5, 2) = 14
But the stubborn dwarf doesn't drop yet. He lands a couple of heavy blows on the sinspawn, but doesn't quite take him out. The sinspawn responds with a flurry of its own.

One of the sinspawn's claws rips into Beromars shoulders, and a trickle of dwarven blood falls into the water. The water begins to glow red again. And another Sinspawn emerges.
The second sinspawn will act next turn.
If you fail, then you are immediately enraged as the Rage spell and attack the closest living thing. Luckily, at the moment that's the Sinspawn. Less luckily, you're not in the right state of mind to break and get some healing.

"Shut up and hold still so I can stab you!" responds Viro testily, trying to betray his astonishment at being in such a bizarre situation.
Two days ago I was an errand boy for Sczarni thugs. Now i'm battling some sort of demented demon thing and her one... AUGH! TWO minions!
Viro then looks down at the ground, at the sinspawn, and then at himself.
Right. When she bleeds, more sinspawn come out.
"Hah! Your magic was pathetic! Lamashtu is a goddess of weakness! Of juvenile power fantasies! She is nothing and her servants are but the playthings of the power! Your goddess is a pathetic joke and I laugh at her!"
Viro then backs up away from the water, taunting and making rude gestures at the quasit.
