Strange things are afoot in the town of Sandpoint. After the Late Unpleasantness, the town has turned a new page. However events are brewing which will make this Varisian backwater the centerpiece of a power struggle dating back millennia. Will the PC’s save themselves, Sandpoint and the rest of Golarian? Or will they succumb to the rising power of the Runelords? Time (and a few lucky dice rolls) will tell.

As I think you can tell, I will be running Rise of the Runelords Anniversary Edition as PbP for level 1 Characters. It will be my first foray into PbP GMing, so you’ll have to be patient and gentle (I so promise NOT to be) as I find my way.

I hope to begin Monday, May 13 at the latest. If we get quality & qualified applications quick enough we can start sooner.

About the GM: (I think this is important info, but I have a vested interest, sue me)
As stated above, this is my initial PbP GM experience. I have done some PbP as PC, and have extensive (if a little dated) GM/DM experience in RL, going all the way back to 1st Edition. I have GM’ed the first parts of this AP for live group in the recent past, although they are a little bogged down in Book 3 now.

I am in US Central Time (Houston TX metro area, yee-haw!), and usually do most posting between 9-12 PM (after my girls are asleep), but will check throughout the day. If it’s really interesting, I will post when I should be working (but I may also work when I should be posting, so it evens out). I am a card-carrying Republican, have an MBA, and am employed by a Fortune 500 healthcare company in a Corporate (yes, that’s suits and ties, folks –even on Friday’s) role and travel frequently. I also have 2 girls and associated familial responsibilities that I put before gaming. Sometimes there will be a hiatus as a result, but it will be brief and noted in advance whenever possible.

I am a fan of the traditional Core rules, classes etc, and that highly intriguing, Goblin Ninja Oracle Paladin with some exotic weapon you’re dying to play, just isn’t that cool to me. Let’s do bread and butter, but do it really well.

I am committed to your game playing enjoyment and plan to run this AP through to completion even if takes several months/years to complete. I am open to and welcome feedback and constructive criticism. I hope you will welcome the same.

Character Creation Guidelines:
RotRL is geared for 4 PC’s covering the major classes types (melee, divine, arcane, and skills) and that’s what I’ll be looking for. I may expand the number to 6 to account for the eventual (and apparently certain) dropouts. Only complete applicants will be considered with Deadline of 10PM on Sunday May 12 (sooner if the response is overwhelming). A complete application includes the following:
1. Characters are level one to begin
2. Good Alignment preferred (you are heroes, right?); I can live with Neutral; but Evil probably won’t make the cut. Chaotic, Lawful, what do I care???
3. 150gp starting wealth (spend wisely my friends)
4. Max HP 1st level (we’ll roll for subsequent levels)
5. Classes from Core are preferred; APG will be considered but given lesser priority, future multi-classing is okay provided it fits the story or build.
6. Standard races preferred. If you want to play something unusual I may allow it based on background, but will likely choose a Core-built player over you, if all else is equal.
7. NO third party publishing sources allowed
8. 2 normal traits, plus one from RotRL Player Guide (link below)
9. 20 point buy with no stat above 18 or below 7 before racial adjustment (obvious Min/Maxing will likely result in not being selected)
10. Plot appropriate Character background including reason you are in Sandpoint.
11. Full stat-block on your character, including link to character sheet. I am happy to transfer your build to Hero Lab if you need help with a formal character sheet.
12. Extended details on their Character Settings in their Class/Level field on the forums here. Details: Class Level | AC XX T XX FF XX | HP XX/XX | F +X R +X W +X | Init +X | Perc +X. Please keep these updated as the game progresses.

RotRL Player Guide – please familiarize yourself if necessary, and create a suitable background and reason for being in Sandpoint. Long time citizens of Sandpoint, or relatives, friends, enemies, lovers, or stalkers of main NPC’s will be moved down in consideration, behind those without such attachments. Sorry, if your PC is Ameiko’s long-lost conjoined twin, you’re probably out. (Exploration of the town is part of the game, so living there and having a pre-conceived relation takes away some flavor).

Expectations of Players:
1. Drop-outs can be replaced, but it can cause delays so I would prefer individuals that can stick around for the whole AP
2. Prefer minimum posts of 1/day for weekdays, 1/weekend, more if at all possible, especially during combats (or when I’m bored).
3. I am all too familiar with RL distractions, and would appreciate the courtesy of a note if you need to miss chunks of time – you’ll get DM-PC’ed to keep the game moving. Hopefully, you’ll survive…
4. Use appropriate language, formatting, behavior, and decorum. I am all for having a good time, but let’s be respectful.
5. Ability to separate IC from OOC knowledge – if you’ve played or GMed this AP before, don’t worry you’re eligible, just don’t give the game away for others. Please don’t read private spoilers etc as they are marked private for a reason (usually to enhance your game play).
6. Understanding that role-play is more important to me than “roll-play”. Dice don’t always determine things like Diplomacy or Bluff, especially if you sell it!
7. Be prepared to play your alignment. This has always been a pet peeve of mine. (Does that make me Lawful? -- you decide). Lawful Good still gives you a wide range of options and behavior choices in situations, but ultimately your PC’s ethics, principals and mores (or lack thereof) need to win out.
8. I am NOT a stickler for RAW and may (from time to time) deviate in the interest of a better game (usually to the players benefit, but not always) or for what I think is more plausible in a given situation. Feel free to call me on it and to post your favorite rule references to back up your case, but GM’s rulings are FINAL (unless my wife walks in). If you want to get into a rules argument, go to the Message Boards…we’re here to have fun.
9. If you have unique spell or ability, please link or cut and paste via spoiler the PRD version so I don’t have to research to understand the power, range, duration, et al. I readily admit I don’t have all the rules memorized and you speed up things for everyone by this simple courtesy.

Good Luck with creation, sorry for boring you to tears, and hopefully I’ll see you in the game soon. Please PM if you have questions, concerns, or would like to see pictures of my dog (Copper the Wonder Dog) playing Fly Ball.

dotting for interest.

Liberty's Edge

Well, first off, Houston represent. (god that felt ghetto, I'm from Pasadena.) Second off, haven't got to do a RotRL yet, so I'm up for the challenge. Bread and butter, keep it core for best results eh? Hmmm...what have I not played yet...

Don't think I'm running any sorcerers, rangers, bards, monks, druids, or paladins yet. got a rogue in an idle game, but only got a taste of playing it...got a barbar applying for one...

I'll have to mull it over a bit. Be back shortly.

I'd like to submit Zoleshi Waszeris for your consideration. She is a Varisian Oracle of Metal. I hope she meets with your approval.

Posting interest, Ill be posting more in a bit after work. (Living in arabian standard time)

I want to bring either a human rogue or an alchemist to the group.

Grand Lodge

Doting for interest. Will be presenting either Human Wood Oracle or a Varisian Witch.

(coming from paris, france but i post regularly even if there is a big time difference. FYI just for fun my little sister just moved to Houston Tx with future hubby)

Char an back story later today

I offer Tunder Stonepeak for your approval. At this time, I have to do some touch up to make sure he meets your criteria, but there shouldn't be many changes needed.
Full disclosure, I am familiar with this AP. More the first two books than the rest. I've played in it both tabletop and PBP and gm'd the first two books tabletop. Most of the games fizzled somewhere in the second book, but I am currently in one pbp game (2nd book) and one tabletop game (4th book). This is not my first time playing in multiple games of the same AP and I have not recieved any warning for using out of game knowledge. I hope my submission is chosen and I'll work to be an asset to the game.

Some dwarves hate goblins. Other dwarves love to hate goblins. Tunder Stonepeak loves killing goblins. In his own words, “There’s no such thing as a good goblin, but the best ones are dead.” Some dwarves hate giants. Other dwarves love to hate giants....

Tunder is from Sandpoint. He recently finished his apprenticeship as a Foe-Killer and has returned home settle. The little frontier town is known to have goblin problems and, lately there's word of giants in the area. This is better than the Janderhoff Mountains where he'd have competition for the killing the things.

I have an elven wizard from this very campaign. It died when the GM quit. I would love the chance to play her again. I use Hero Lab for character creation.

Dotting with interest.

Submitting this character for consideration. She is just a concept right now, I will flesh her out after reviewing the Player's Guide.

I present my rogue, Edwin Levitt. Wrote a backstory while I was at work. Always happy about slow days!

EDIT: Then I see someone put in a name fairly close to mine, dang! Oh well, I'll be putting a herolab up in an hour or two once I get back home.

Silver Crusade

Dwarven Ranger Sword and Board building toward a Seeker archetype.

I'll put up the total crunch later and work on backstory.

I would like to submit Vaashti C'Tan, a Tiefling Merciful Healer, for your consideration. She was a randomly generated character for a PbP that lasted just past the first encounter. I really would like to take her further.

I'll get her re-statted for your crunch this afternoon.

Backstory copied for your perusal, and yes, i will be taking the Prostitute trait.

Story:

A "just" society. A "free" society. Don't talk to me about these things. Not unless you've lived your whole life around whores. Sure, call them the "hospitality industry" or "ladies of the silken night" or even "escorts" if you will. We're whores, and that's all we ever will be. And if you've got the tiefling heritage, and your horns are visible, or maybe a tail, then you've got nothing to look forward to. Oh, there's some that do elsewise, maybe get themselves a shop or wagon, become merchants. But they get crap rates on loans, their customers cheat them, and eventually they get run out of town as "demons". Is it any wonder a lot of my family take to evil ways? And for every one that makes it out, there's dozens - hundreds - that don't.

I grew up in a whorehouse, lived with whores all my life, and I'd be there still, whoring my life away, if The Everbloom hadn't taken pity on me and lifted me out by her good right hand. Justice comes in all forms, and sometimes what is just for one isn't fair for another. That's where mercy comes in. She showed me mercy all right. She helped the healing power within me blossom and grow. I've been healing my sisters and brothers for a couple of years before I left the Powdered Rose. You think arena gladiators have it rough? Whores get beat up, get the pox, get...used every night. Who heals them? You think they can just pop down to the apothecary for a pick me up? No. We take care of our own...and I was my sisters' keeper.

Still, when Milani visited me in the vision one night, I couldn't believe she had just asked me to leave my family. Who would tend to their needs? Who would care for them? What would they think when I left? It's not like Madam Pilfrani would stop me. There's clerics galore in the whorehouse ranks, but most turn to Calistria for vengeance. Milani is different, and Madam Pilfrani was the first to suggest I leave. She even cut back on my evening hours - I still worked hard hours during the day with healing - and pooled a sum of money and some secondhand goods for me to take as I went. My sisters even took up a collection and got me down to the skin artist. He inked me up a rose blooming bright red from blood on the streets - Milani's own symbol right there on my arm and shoulder!

I'm not sure what the Everbloom has in mind for me, but I'm not given to questioning her. Right now, she said "Go!" and I'm going. Maybe the future will reveal itself soon.

Edit:

About me:
I am currently Dm-ing 3 PbPs on these boards, and check them several times throughout the day. I too prefer to not have drop-outs, so I don't sing up for a game I don't intend to play for months or years. I travel occasionally as well, but usally can at least post once a day while I do. When I have to be in an area with unreliable internet access for more than a day (e.g., my in-laws' farm in the middle of nowhere) I'll give you a head's up. RAW is nice but RP is nicer. I have no problems with the DM bending RAW to suit a story or character feel. If a rules dispute comes up, I post a link to the SRD rules I think matter, and then back off and let the DM make his own decision. Above all, I think the point of the game is to have fun...

I updated my character page to have my stats.

A little about me, I'm a soldier in the middle east with heavy access to internet at work or home. Been really bored trying to find an rpg group in vain here, so I hope this pans out. Available most of the time to post except whenever work picks up or I'm sleeping. I enjoy believable characters rather than cool characters as I enjoy to roleplay. Most people I've met end up creating mary sue characters that have some sappy crazy backstory. It would be nice to see something original without being wild and out there.

Grand Lodge

Submitting Khelvor De'Mortis, Halfling Divine Hunter, for your consideration. I still need to flesh out the background to make it apply to the campaign, so I will need to do some research there.

Here is my proposal for your campaign.

Torald is a faithful follower of Sarenrae, and comes to Sandpoint to celebrate the consecration of Sandpoint Cathedral.

I have the background at the moment just in german, but I'll translate it in a few hours.

To your expectations:

1.) No problem. So far, I only left campaigns, which were closed by the GM.

2.) I'm usual able to post 1-2 posts per weekday.

3.-4.) No Problem

5.) I've only played the first encounter in this AP. Sadly the campaign died very early.

6.-9.) Fine.

Some words about me.

I'm an 32 years old commissioning engineer and controller programmer working for a medium-sized company in the field of air conditioning and building automation. I'm living with my small family in south west Germany.

I've played D20 Systems since AD&D 2nd Edition since I was 13. At the moment I play in 2 infrequently playing local pen&paper rounds and 3 active pbp campaigns.

Greetings
Stephan

Silver Crusade

Checking in... Looking for players to make my future character connected to.

Expectations of Players:

1. Drop-outs can be replaced, but it can cause delays so I would prefer individuals that can stick around for the whole AP

I plan on being on here the whole time, I have my other 4 campaigns to run after all.

2. Prefer minimum posts of 1/day for weekdays, 1/weekend, more if at all possible, especially during combats (or when I’m bored).

I have Tuesdays and Fridays kinda busy, weekends are questionable, though I should be able to post 5/day.

3. I am all too familiar with RL distractions, and would appreciate the courtesy of a note if you need to miss chunks of time – you’ll get DM-PC’ed to keep the game moving. Hopefully, you’ll survive…

Communication is Key!!! As expected.

4. Use appropriate language, formatting, behavior, and decorum. I am all for having a good time, but let’s be respectful.

Yup, definately.

5. Ability to separate IC from OOC knowledge – if you’ve played or GMed this AP before, don’t worry you’re eligible, just don’t give the game away for others. Please don’t read private spoilers etc as they are marked private for a reason (usually to enhance your game play).

I have not been in this AP before, either roll, and I am great at keeping the info seperate. Slip ups happen.

6. Understanding that role-play is more important to me than “roll-play”. Dice don’t always determine things like Diplomacy or Bluff, especially if you sell it!

RP it up to make the roll make sense, got it! Or even gain a bonus on the roll because of the RP! :P

Good to keep them honest.

RAW? Please PM me I do not know what it stands for.

9. If you have unique spell or ability, please link or cut and paste via spoiler the PRD version so I don’t have to research to understand the power, range, duration, et al. I readily admit I don’t have all the rules memorized and you speed up things for everyone by this simple courtesy.

Yup, will do, good protocol.

I offer up Thalrik Korun, Conjuration Waizard.

He is currently in another game, but it seems to have died in its infancy and I really like this character, so want to get him into another game asap.

If for some reason I get chosen, and the GM for the other game returns before we get under way, I will back out. Sorry if the timing aligns so that ends up happening, but hopefully there will be plenty of applications to take my place if that happens.

As for why Thalrik is in Sandpoint, he has only recently set out to see the world, so he is probably just passing by, staying at the local tavern when whatever happens, happens.

EDIT: I assume I can buy scrolls at crafting price, since I have Scribe Scroll?

EDIT 2: Bring on the Wonder Dog pics!!

Dotting, Human Fighter and Hagfish Hopeful concept. Varg Grimmgut.

Brief Background:
Aziza was always a little unusual as a child, even for a gnome growing up among a small, mixed-race itinerant community of travelers on the roads of Varisia. She was endlessly fascinated by the ruins of past civilizations the caravans would occasionally come across, and always questioning her elders about ancient civilizations and history.

In fact the only thing which captivated the child more was the wild fury and beauty of the storms which would sometimes sweep in over the hills and forests. The raw elemental power of the skies infused Aziza's blood, eventually awakening her latent arcane power, resulting in her being trained by her parents to channel and focus the magical energies as a sorceress.

Presently Aziza has ventured to the town of Sandpoint with hopes of undertaking her own investigation of the Old Light ruins. She's heard that there is a museum, of sorts, in the town and she intends to examine the records there to try and garner any clues as to the identity of the builders of the ruined lighthouse.

The mechanics of this character is complete. Appearance, Personality, and Background sections will be up by tomorrow latest.

This toon has lost his RotRL game, in the second room of a certain site. If the concept is tolerable, I'll make him legal for your game. (He's leveled a bit, and he's 12-pt build) If he smells too strongly of cheese, I will understand, and go softly away, only offering the defense of being a 12-pt build among 34s (diced chargen).

Working up a barbarian for this game. Should be done shortly and I'll post up the alias...

Here's Smoke from Two-Rivers for consideration. A selfless, helpful guy with a bit of a monster inside of him. Half-Shoanti, half-Varisian, all smiles.

Smoke really doesn't like giants-- especially ogres. He was scarred across the skull by an ogre hook from a young age and spent hours pretending to be dead to survive. He's the son of an adventurer and wants to follow in his father's footsteps by living some adventures of his own. Carrying a dead hellknight's sword, he's come to Sandpoint to see if it'd be prepared for a giant incursion, and if it isn't? To prepare them... if he can get them to listen to him.

Applying for the position of healer and divine caster is Cadas, a Shoanti cleric of Gozreh. She is a Student of Faith and in town for the dedication of the cathedral of six deities.

Some Personal Info on me:

I too am a Republican and I too have an MBA (Engineering undergrad). I even live in the Central time zone and have been to Houston many times - I do space work. I wear a tie to work, but not every day. Somedays I can get away with corporate logo wear. I have two kids that are mostly grown, and I raised them both as gamers. :) Quite proud of that.

I post more than once a day unless work gets oppressive. I try to role play, but have been guilty of power gaming in the past. Both are actually fun to me. I know the rules pretty well (but seem to still learn new things all the time) but would never quote them back to a GM unless it was something significant and then in PM if possible.

I have chosen to play a true neutral cleric. She channels positive energy but I plan to grab Versatile Channeler at some point down the line. If this is an issue I would happily adopt another Shoanti deity with a good bent and rebuild with a better weapon than a Trident. :)

You will note the lack of Min Maxing with this character. My low stat is a 10 while my high is a 16. I did succumb to the temptation of oriental armor - Lamellar horn. It just fit the Shoanti background imho. But I could be just as happy with one point less armor and 2 points less armor check and 10' more move in a chain shirt.

I have played only the first encounter i this AP. The DM, who was doing a great job, had to give it up way to early for my liking.

Silver Crusade

Presenting Rhanloi, Half-elven wizard. Started RotRL - took two weeks - didn't even finish first encounter - and GM is AWOL. Story and appearance is on my page.

Submitting, Crag the Igneous!

I know you were looking for Core/APG. This is a standard dwarf, with the Stonelord Paladin Archetype from the ARG. I'll understand if that's too far off the beaten path. Thanks for your consideration!

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Maps Subscriber

All, thanks so much for your applications. Early response has been tremendous. I am actively reviewing all applicants and may ask questions here or by PM.

I hope to compile a list each day by category: Melee, Skills, Arcane, and Divine. Will probably add 2 miscellaneous PC's that I really like to start for a party size of 6 (means buffing up some CR values etc). I will likely also ask a few to be on stand-by when the flies start dropping (either in game or RL).

As always, post or PM questions. As mentioned above the more Core you look/feel and the more RP potential you have, the more I'm gonna like ya. (not that I might pick a different Race/Class if the hook is right). Also looking for good balance of skills, races, stories etc.

So far, lots of good stuff to chew on. Wish I had the time to run duplicate games already.

Sounds awesome. I'd love a game with that kind of tone, and it seems like we have similar tastes. I've GM'd the path a bit, and had a brief stint in two online games (one PbP that I had to drop out with full-time study and one PBE, the format didnt sit too well with me). Thankfully I'm studying part-time now, and while I have two or three active games at the moment, I'll always greedily devour anything runelords related until I get a group willing to play the damn thing with me.

I'd be keen to play a number of PCs based on what the party needs, but I'm having a hard time getting a read based on the sheer number of posts so far.

This is a character I built for RotRL that ended shortly after the first fight... actually, I just realized one of the other players has applied here too.

In any event, I'll have to rebuild her character sheet, but all the fluff and other stuff is there.

Incidentally Doctor, I too prefer core and don't have a lot of love for the Goblin Ninja Oracle Paladin with some exotic weapon.

Twigs here. This is an alias of mine for a elven priest of Desna, given the strong thematic ties she has to the path. You can see his profile and posts and tell me if you like what I see. I really like the roleplay opportunities a cleric of desna provides, prophetic dreams being a lot of fun to play with from the GM chair. Also clerics are fun to play and have a lot in the way of roleplay opportunities, with spells like consecrate and such.

I'd also be keen to play a Dwarven fighter or cleric of torag. I don't often get a chance to play the non-human races in my homegame's setting, so tend to jump on every chance I get on the boards. He'd be a capable veteran who's dealt with goblins, giants, and everything in between, but fairly grubby, miserly, cranky and unpleasant as dwarves are. He'd have a fierce grudge against his racial enemies and be outwardly dismissive (though inwardly impressed) by the ruins of Thassilion, which he can hardly believe was built by humans. Given that I've yet to play a dwarf for any length of time I'd be even more excited to play that out.

In both cases I'd like to attempt to speak the language in question to the best of my ability. I feel like the race choice should really be played up. It's an ethnicity as well as a body-type, and I want to reflect their respective cultures as much as possible.

Edit: I'm also guilty of running in (and playing in) a short-lived runelords game here. I wonder if any of us have crossed paths before? That said I'm determined to finish the path this time, and aside from any unforeseeable horrific circumstances I can post daily.

Ok so I've looked at everyone's concept and build (briefly) so far. I mostly read fluffy stuff so far and will concentrate on mechanics when we get down to selecting. Many of you will have gotten PM's from me with questions etc.

First a few questions/comments/answers to posts here:

1)Daynen - Houston love to you. I am in NW Houston, Tomball area, so about as far from you as I can be....did you submit a character yet?

2)Friends from overseas - welcome. I hope time/language differences won't create too much of problem. My only foreign language is Texan, and that's not too useful abroad, y'all.

3)To Edwin Levitt who is busily serving his country in a strange land which keeps him too busy to find a game: Be safe, my friend, and come home in one piece. We're all thinking of you guys.

4)To the refugees from past ROTRL campaigns: I'd give you all hugs (if that wasn't a little creepy) and tell you I plan to stick around long term so you can leave your fears of abandonment at the door. If you made it past the first fight, please tell me if I'm headed down a path you like. My take may be quite different from others...but I'm open to suggestions.

5) To everyone else: Thanks for making such good fleshed-out PC's. My choices are hard already, and I have several days of applications left. I do find myself leaning away from 'unusual' builds and more toward Core class with a good tie to Sandpoint or Varisia.

6) Who has a good mother's day gift idea? I'm a little stumped and the clock is ticking. Tick-tock...

As promised, here is the running list of players sorted by category. As I mentioned, I'll take one from each, and then add my favorite next 2 (and find 2 more who will be redshirted --that's football talk, hey I'm from Texas).

The list should be in chronological order of submission, but if not, tell me and I'll feel bad.(Really...)If I've miscategorized you, please instruct me. If I've spelled your name wrong, some press is better than no press and your still in the running...If I left someone off, it's only because you're so special to me I didn't want to include you with the riff-raff listed below. (Let's snuggle...)

DIVINE
Zoleshi - Metal Oracle with an ax (not literaly) to grind vs giants
Edmond Blackerly - half elf Cleric Evangelist -he's either going to save your soul or end it, you choose.
Vaahti C'than - tiefling hooker with a heart of gold, if this was film noir, she'd be a lock.
Cadras - Shoanti Cleric of Gozreh; her village predicted trouble for Sandpoint, think they might be right.
Seldan Swiftheel - wandering elf Cleric of Desna; he's just out for a 100 year long walk in the woods.

ARCANE
Tinuviel Surana - Elf Wizard who's family keeps dying, mebbe it;s time to look into that health plan, hmmm?
Aerin Starsong - Witch with Thassilonian fantasies
Thalrik Koren - half-elf Wizard conjurer; he wants to see dog pics
Aziza Plumbockett - gnome (only one so far) Sorceress; New to PbP
Meggiki - Scarred witch doctor who may or may not be an orc

MELEE
Khelvor De'Mortis - halfling (only one) Paladin Divine Hunter; call him short and he'll shoot an arrow in your eye
Torald Othric - paladin hospitalier of Sarenrae; his apprenticeship is done and he's ready to go forth and kick some tail
Smoke - Shoanti Barbarian with a wicked sword and a grudge vs giants
Crag - Dwarf Paladin Stonelord - Giants smashed up his stuff too (i'm sensing a theme here, those giants must be stopped, right after you save Sandpoint)

SKILL
Tunder - dwarf ranger - loves dead things (whatever that means)
Seika of Running Water - ranger - why won't she turn the faucet off?
Edwin Levitt - rogue with a secret to sell you; maybe not the best line for a soldier?
Mirela - Varisian rogue acrobat in town to perform and bilk some rubes

Strange how the spread sort of evened out. Sleep well folks, and I'll see you again in the morning. Probably have another 20 apps to look at then...

Liberty's Edge

Hey, checking in. No, I haven't submitted mine yet. I'm about done with my sorcerer, who looks a little unusual to me, but I'm also fighting the urge to make alternates. A halfling druid comes to mind. (long story, don't ask.)

Anyway, the sorcerer is looking like an eclectic mix of party face, fire-based blaster, summoner, battlefield control, and a smattering of knowledge. Getting late, but we seem to have no druids so far, so unless you're opposed to it, I might go ahead and roll up that alternate for the heck of it. At least with that one, I have SOME clue what his backstory is so far since he's one of my longer running personas...the sorc is from scratch.

I'll submit Barek. He's a local tough guy working for Scarnetti, but chafing under the work. Fighter-Brawler archetype; He punches things.

I really like how our characters were summed up. Pretty funny. Looks like whatever team is put together they are going to be running some non traditional strategies, looks like fun!

The ger durr giants tek ur jerbs!

I re-visited the character and did a quick editing sweep. Some things changed-- I changed my visual reference since he was a lot more tan with flux.x on full bore. I also made it so that Smoke wasn't just a weirdo obsessed with giants-- he's actually driven off and encountered a few, but never fought one or found one alone. Lots of studying and thinking about it though.

My brother is a former male stripper who used to tour with a major international show. My mum used to have two photos on her desk at work; one was me in DPCUs when I got back from o/s, the other was Tim lined up and posing (in fireman stripper clothes) with the other guys in the'show'. Unfortunately he's now retired, married and... like me... lives in Australia, so sorry Doc, can't help there. :)

(Offering to pimp out my brother is a standard non-funny joke for me; maybe it's only humorous if you're an Aussie).

Might not be great but I know my mom likes bears so i bought a bear statue thing that holds paper towels.

Grand Lodge

DPCUs? what does that stands for?

Silver Crusade

Dr Evil - you missed Rhanloi - half-elven wizard - in the Arcane list :-)

Aussie BDUs

Australian camouflage military uniform for those not knowing what BDUs are.

Twigs here. Still about. But Dwarf names have a way of stumping me. I can't settle on anything!
