Since there seem to be more people wanting to play PbP than GMs, I have decided to try GMing a PbP. I have 20 odd years of tabletop experience, but I've never GM'd play by post before. So I thought I'd give it a try on the module scale before I committed to something ambitious like an Adventure Path.

So, character creation rules. 1st level. 20 point buy. Anything from Paizo or Open Design is legal.

In the interest of fairness, I'm going to take the first 4 players who post interest. I would prefer people who are not already involved in an active PbP game to give newer players a chance.

Cool. I should note that the town's only temple is to Erastil, if you want to work that into your character. Not required though. Could easily fit for an oracle or druid though.

Oh boy, I'd love to play this, but a) I'm already involved in a few other PbP games here, and b) I've read the module, so I know what's going to happen.

I am not currently in a game. I typically play humans, and will put together a barbarian that I cooked up.

I have a concept for a Andoran soldier that was "released" from service due to slight control problems on the field of battle. He doesn't really know where he fits in the grand scheme of things now and is looking for direction/challenge.

Human/Barbarian
-Controlled, erudite, responsible...except in battle. The "clean" barbarian.

2 traits, average starting money.

I just joined the message board after trolling around and seeing your post. I've never played by post, but I've played a lot of pathfinder in local groups. I'd like to join the group if you'd have me. Looks like you guys could use a healer/divine character. I'd be down for filling that role. An oracle with the life mystery would be fun, but I could do Nature as well since you mentioned the only worship is of Erastil.

I see that you already have four players ahead of me, but I'd like to be considered as an understudy in case anyone has to bow out. I'd like to do a good old sword and board tactical fighter from Varisia, and can provide a stat block if necessary. I would also like to gain some experience with play by post, since some of my players IRL would like to try it due to time constraints, and I'd like to get familiar with the protocol first.

So if a spot opens up...or if you'd like to do a five member party, let me know. Thanks.

Finally decided. A gnome (pyromaniac) evocation wizard, with a bonded ring. I'll stat him up and add some fluff.

Rough background is, some people think he;s dangerous, untrustworhty, and just plain unlucky to be around. Truth is he's curious, adventurous, and occasionally reckless. I'm thinking chaotic good. He's got his own moral code but rebels against laws he sees as too restricting or boring. He probably has been a short term "guest" of the town guard once or twice.

I've put all the information in my profile for my character. Let me know what you think =).

Ok...looks like everything is setup for Yarroth. The backgrouond is a bit sparse, but I do not know the adventure background so I tried to stay vague.

You arrive in whatever order you post in. Your characters are likely familiar with each other, but not necessarily close friends. Feel free to describe your entrance in the square begin conversing as we wait for everyone to be ready and arrive.

Had to make a small change to my character as I just realized the armor and weapons are small sized, so I halved my weight. No longer a medium load.

I know Magic: Feel free to jump into the in character discussion even if your character isn't fully statted out. It'll probably take a while to get to actual combat.

Anton has spent most of his life living with his uncle on a farm outside of town - his father was a career soldier, whose whereabouts are not known. He doesn't know who his mother was, only that she was a native Varisian, and he only has a kapenia (family scarf) that once belonged to her. He has a cordial, yet cool relationship with his uncle, and while he has built up his physique through manual labor on the farm, he snuck off during the night to train as a fighter in town. Eager to escape the farm life, he is ready to prove himself - even if he is a bit of a naive farmboy.
