Galean, at the fear of being branded a Chelish agent, has changed his clothes to a bit more presentable uniform. His usually patchy coat is cleaned, and he looks even somewhat presentable. His eyes glare around somewhat nervously, as he looks at the man. Scratching his head under Sandara's hat, he looks at the flashy pirate with an odd, distrusting look.

Far as I can tell the only line's the one to the ale barrel. Fairwind's still sleeping off the riot - rumor is she made off with a dozen tapestries from captains who weren't at home in the chaos and cut her way through a good number of guards to do it. I did pretty well myself, made off with a priestess of Calistria. Mind you she went back to the temple this morning but not a bad night's work if you ask me.

He buffs his nails on a leather bandoleer and inspects them as he talks.

And why are you here to see the Captain? Hoping to sign on to a ship?

Yuki's expression goes from mildly displeased to annoyed as the man continues to talk, "I'm Captain Yuki Okano of the Calamitous Intent and these are my Ship's Officers. We have business with Tessa so, we're going to go do that now." Without further ado, she moves past the pirate towards whatever doors are nearby.

Galean turns red, biting his lips. "Uh... yeah...", he says, a trickle of sweat rolling down his brow. "Darn those... uh, dastardly Mwangi and their were-gorillas, am I right? It's a really, really hot morning this morning, right?", he clears his throat several times as he looks at the others handing over their weapons. Pointing towards the rowboat paddle in his hands, he scratches his head. "Uh, it's not really a weapon, but I'll leave it here.", he says, giving the man a stare, as if almost daring him to question why Galean is carrying a paddle. And it's not like I need a weapon.

Trevor, since you're walking into a Free Captain's home it's entirely reasonable for you to leave your weapons with you to keep you from assassinating your host. Roll Sleight of Hand!

A pirate leads you through a lavishly appointed townhouse with mismatched paintings, tapestries, carpets draped haphazardly on the floors and walls. Vases and statues are propped in corners.

On the terrace you see a nice view of the bay, and the smoke rising off the burned houses caused by Galean's riot, but your eye is drawn to the woman sitting at an ornate iron table sipping tea from a porcelain cup.

Her tousled long red hair frames a delicately featured face and slightly pointed ears and she pulls back on it as she blows delicately on the steaming tea. You get a good view of slender limbs tanned by exposure to the sun as she sweeps her deep green eyes across your group and smiles at you with perfect white teeth.

Ah, guests! What a surprise - I, as I'm sure you guessed, am Tessa Fairwind. What brings you to my door?

Withholding a grunmble Nymph begins long and drawn out process to disarm of all her weapons, the straps for holding them actually consisting of most of her clothing above her shorts. She makes a point to keep her mouth shut to hide her teeth as well.

Trevor decides to give all of his weapons, as the pirate guard seems etter at his job than Trevor at smuggling.

We also heard a rumor you weren't too hot on the current Hurricane King, and I have to say if his minions are any indication, I can't blame you at all!"

Well Captain Okano, a please to meet you and your officers! I certainly am a good person to know, particularly if you frequent my home port of Quent. And while it's well known that King Bonefist and I have some disagreements I assure you I have no designs on the Crown.

She sips her tea and exchanges small talk until her steward withdraws.

But how fortuitous to meet you this morning. I'd heard that some newcomers had embarrassed the King's coxswain at the Testing and I do like meeting people who put substance over style.

Yuki watches the other Captain closely as they speak, although she attempts not to be too obvious about it, "Truthfully, we've been out at sea for quite some time, so I'll admit we may be out of the loop. We have heard about the Regatta coming up and that the competition is wide open this year. We plan on participating after giving our ship a few upgrades. Is there other news floating about that we should know?"

Well, you might want to keep your ear to the ground. I have contacts all over the Isles and they're telling me that Cheliax is putting feelers throughout the Shackles - scouts for a possible invasion.

She looks out over the waves and her eyes harden for just a second, reminding you that however winsome she might appear now she's still next in line for a throne won through guile, backstabbing and pure will to power as much as persuasion and popular acclaim.

I don't have to tell you we don't want the Chelish in these waters. So it's fortuitous you sought me out because I could use some discreet help. I can't follow up on these rumors myself, even if I am convinced that Cheliax has spies and informants working in the Shackles.

She turns her more winning smiles back on you.

But you could! The conquerors of the Rock could go places I can't. So if you do this for me I'd can offer you a position in my fleet. It's based in Quent which is a much more civilized place; no chance of were-gorilla's rampaging on the docks and burning down warehouses and chandleries.

Galean scratches his head at Tessa's offer, before realising it's probably not polite, but deciding to go through with it regardless. "I should hope not.", he mutters half-heartedly, hoping his best that his cheeks aren't betraying him once more. "Were-gor...", he clears his throat. "The Chelish are bad, I'm glad we can agree on that. But, uh, the Captain does the talking stuff. Not me. Except for me now.", his mouth quickly adding before snapping up. I don't want to be a part of a fleet. Or do I? I never seen a pirate fleet-fleet., he thinks, his mind carrying away to him spearheading an attack on the Chelish navy, behind the wheel of the Calamitous Intent, his hat only second in size to the Captain's.

"I think the rumors of were-gorillas are probably over exaggerated, there's so many other ways people can turn into apes, you know?" Yuki suggests with a slight smile, "As for your offer, we could probably check into a few things for you, especially with how awful Cheliax can be. I'd have to think about joining your fleet though, so, depending on how much follow up you're going to need, why don't we just say you'll owe us a favor? If asking for a favor is too much, then we can put a price on it, but I'd rather be friends than just business partners."

"So, what are these leads? Why do you think there's some kind of Chelish problem or whatever in the Shackles?" Yuki asks, leaving the issue of compensation for the moment.

Wow, the board didn't show me Yuki's post. I apologize, I should have checked way sooner.

I can think of only two places that might have some knowledge of these traitorous informers in our midst. The first is the House of Stolen Kisses in Quent, a temple of Calistria and one of the best information brokerages in the Shackles. Use this note to obtain an audience with the temple’s high priestess, Dindreann.

The second is the Temple of the Hidden Name, a secret temple of Norgorber said to operate in the town of Beachcomber on Bag Island. If anyone knows of these spies, it would be the followers of the Reaper of Reputation. I have no contacts with the priests of that temple, so I hope you can convince them to reveal what they know.

She hands Yuki a note and then a flunky clears her breakfast from the table and unfurls beautifully drawn, extraordinarily detailed nautical charts of the Shackles to point out Quent and Beachcomber.

After a brief review she has the charts rolled up into a watertight case which she hands to you.

These charts of the fair winds are a gift, one of many I can bestow if you reconsider your decision. After all you don't have to always fly under my flag in these waters.

Charts of the Fair Winds:

These aged charts of thick, yellowed parchment display rough representations of the Shackles’ major islands and the sea lanes between them. The detailed markings on these charts grant a +2 circumstance bonus on Profession (sailor) or Survival checks to navigate within the Shackles.

In addition, a multitude of wrinkles, stains, and blemishes mar the charts’ surfaces. Anyone meticulously studying the charts notices that these markings shift over time. The creases, smudges, and blotches on the map represent real weather conditions (such as clouds, rain, and wind) in the region, allowing an informed observer to determine the current weather patterns over the islands of the Shackles. The charts grant a +4 competence bonus on Survival checks made to predict future weather conditions and a +2 competence bonus on Survival checks to gain a bonus on Fortitude saves against severe weather.

Finally, the pilot of a wind-propelled ship can make a DC 20 Profession (sailor) check to plot a course within the Shackles using the charts. If the check is successful, the charts grant the ship a +10% enhancement bonus to its waterborne speed as long as it follows the plotted course.

Galean's mouth gapes at the charts. His eyes follow, as if trying to take in the charts all at once. His fingers almost stretch towards the maps, as he looks at the captain. "Uh, Cap'n? This is the other sort of bribery I'm very open to. Gifts.", he clears his throat and hums out. "And Quent sounds pretty interesting. What else is there?", he asks.
