Favoured by the gods, Trevor ducks under a swirl and uses the vortex left to slip out of the water. Quickly, he rushes forth towards Locke, but stops at the building, happy for the cover it provides against her incantations. Once "safe," he intones a short ballad, its bawdy heroics lifting his spirits further.

In this instance Isabelle can summon the monster as a move action - there's crunch behind it and she can't do it to spam summon monster but she can do it in this instance. Keep in mind if you've run this encounter I'm juggling some things with around her character to make her a bit more challenging.

Yuki moved to L1 last round, although the map wasn't changed to reflect that. I'm pointing it out so her next move makes sense.

Yuki ignores the flying creature with ice breath and moves into firing range with Locke. Once there, she shoots an arrow at her.

Moving to G2, not attempting to avoid an AoO's from the summoned creature.

Isabelle reappears in P8 and starts casting.

Spellcraft DC 19 to identify.

Meanwhile Nymph looks down and to her horror/annoyance sees a massive spout of water start to bubble up that then explodes upwards.

If Counterspell fails:

Damage (Spell): 3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 4) = 10

Please make a DC 19 Reflex check to take half fire damage and avoid being tossed into the air by the waterspout - if you fail, you take an additional Damage (Falling): 5d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 2, 1, 3) = 8 damage.

In addition that aqueous orb lumbers over to engulf Yuki at N1 Please make a DC 18 Reflex save to avoid taking 2d6 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5 nonlethal damage and avoid being entangled. If you fail the save and can't breathe water you must hold your breath (or drown) - also you take an additional 2d6 nonlethal damage per round until the orb dissipates (I'll say when) or you drown.

You may want to consider using an initiative roster, GM. It'll be easier to keep track on the player end, anyway.

Well, if we're now on the round after when she cast her spell, then I guess I'll go again!

Bahrin squints slightly and makes a swirling gesture with his arms, almost as if plucking a wave from the air and firing it from a bow at Isabella.

I can switch from total initiative back to normal and just update it from now on (I mean, after this fight). Hope everyone who celebrated it had a good Mother's Day.

Ok, bookkeeping I forgot about out of the way first: geyser inflicts a wide area attack that does 1d6 damage in half the radius of the height of the geyser - in this case 25 from the "epicenter" at L& - I think that hits everyone but Yuki, including Isabelle unless you make a successful Reflex save DC 19. Also Trevor, when blinding like that I know you won't know the CMD of the enemy but please roll the round count anyway!

Reflex (Isabelle): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Damage (Geyser): 1d6 ⇒ 2

Blinded: 1d4 ⇒ 4 Well that went poorly.

As you vigorously assault the horrid woman she screams in pain - Yuki's arrow, Bahrin' acid bolt, Nymph's falcata and Trevor's blinding attack all strick home - although Trevor's attack of opportunity does not.

Curse you damned bushwackers!
