Yuki, I didn't not notice but it looks like my post got swallowed up by the Paizo board!

Grok acknowledges Yuki's presence with a wink - she know's you're not supposed to be down in the shop but doesn't seem to care much and you can smell the liquor already open on a table in the shop itself.

'Fraid that's the captain's policy kid. You get your things back when you've earned it, but don't worry we don't sell 'em to anyone else. You just need to do something to prove you're part of the crew for good instead of a pressed hand - usually it's taking another ship or something else that makes the captain sure you're part of the team.

After a bit of small talk Grok seems to be warming up to Yuki, asking her about Tien-Min drinks and songs, and the morning passes slowly.

Wulf's approach is noted by the tall Mwangi, who looks down on him a bit.

Who you calling great ya pale puke? She grins a bit though, happy to see someone who isn't at least seven inches shorter than she is for once.

And how do most people end up in the Shackles? I ran afoul of those Andoran bastards, the Grey Corsairs. The ship I was on had just picked up a fresh cargo of halflings in Katapesh bound for Cheliax when the Corsairs found our ship and attacked.

She shakes her head briefly.

We managed to fight them off after a few hours chase, but the ship was known and those a&!&%+%s follow you anywhere once they know your ship. So the captain docked us in Sothis and we got paid off. I ended up taking ship out here where even the Corsair don't go. The Wormwood's not bad as long as you don't run afoul of the first mate.

Ayre, Rocky finds a number of things around the bilges and spends highly creative time finding ways to describe what he's found - a buckler, a hand axe, a small glass vial, a bag, some sticks and 21 coins.

Galean, you don't find any loose gear in the middle of the hold, although you do find two light ballista, a light catapult disassembled. You also find a miserable Owlbear Harshorn, covered with dried tar and feathers, shackled to the foremast.

After speaking with Nymph, the grog starts to warm Wulf up and he begins feeling a bit invincible.

Galean will go and talk to the other crew about Owlbear later and tell them to be nice to him. Also, he'll mention the shackles, hopefully getting someone to undo them.

Tibbs laughs. You can't trade the ration newbie, it's forced on everyone. But I'll bet you 20 gp from your first plunder you can't whip me!

He puts down and starts to wrestle with Wulf.

They go back and forth for a long while but Wulf eventually pushes Tibbs' arm into the broken glass.

Tibbs scowls at the wounds, looking up at the tall sailor in disgust.

She grumbles and you see her taken by some of the sailors who attacked you the other day to be helped with her wounds.

"Fine..." The word flows out like angry syrup through her gritted teeth. Taking a breath she'll turn and throw a wave and a feigned smile at the other woman.

As everyone goes about their own things Nymph takes note of the Owlbear man... and also to attempt to feign niceties with the people she rather not. Unsure of what to do next she approaches Sandara. "Heya Red, don't mean to bother ya but the others said I should try to play nice with some of the crew so I was hoping you could help me out with that. You know anyone I might get along with or that needs help with anything? Anything you need help with? Anything?" Though keeping a straight face as she talks at her last word her mouth does move in a hungry fashion. Letting a beat pass her lips simply crook into a goofy grin as she waves off her own flirting.

She laughs when she looks at Nymph's shirt.

If you can catch Grok sober you'd find a friend, but the teeth might put me off. There's always Shivikah if you don't mind someone who's just plain mean.

She shrugs.

You can find a good bottle of booze though you'd have a better shot with Grok in the daytime while Kroop's in the galley - you might find some of that booze in the galley, maybe look for the tall ugly fellow who probably needs to stay away from the kitchen and in the fishing boat.

Grinning when the other woman looks at her chest, or lack of shirt actually, she quickly spits her teeth into her hand before bracing her hands on her hips and puffs out her chest slightly. "Cuts down on drag AND gives people something nice to look at." she says while still keeping her grin, a much more human looking one this time.

Scratching her head as she mulls Sandy's advice over. "Yeah, finding her while she's sober is the problem right now... and that Shivikah..." her words trails off as her mouth turn into a snarl.

Continuing to think for a bit about Sandara and her other pressmates said she nods to herself before patting the other girl on the shoulder. "Thanks, really. You're one of the few brightspots on this damn hunk of wood. One of the other guys that was pressed with us is the cook's mate so maybe he can with that rum idea. " Giving her a pleasant grin in thanks she'll head over to Cog. He had kind of a dark air about him and wasn't exactly the calmest person on board so she figured she should at least try to cut down on people that wanted to cut her down. "You holding up okay? You got pressed into this mess the same time as me and a few others." she says as she sits across from him, lightly throwing a hand up in greeting as she does so.

Most people would say that with an air of despair or resignation. Cog says it with an odd sort of relish. He might just be one of those people who enjoys suffering.

Cog spends several minutes talking about all the horrible things that could happen to a sailor at sea - death by sea monsters, the legend of a ghost ship crewed by undead seeking new crew, the weresharks praying on an important passage through a volcanic island and of course the legends of just what caused the Cyclops' civilization to fall.

Each time he brings up a gruesome method of death he seems to tell the story with increasing relish. Clearly he's a lover of dark tales, and anyone who could add to his collection would be able to pierce his off-putting demeanor.

Nymph:

You can either roleplay a horrific story in an attempt to influence without a roll, or gain a +2 to your attempt to influence while telling the story - it's up to you if you'd rather RP or just go with the mechanical advantage.

While the tales involving Cyclops doesn't catch her attention the rest of his stories, the ones involving undead crews and sea monsters--weresharks in particular--easily capture her attention. "Yeah, those weresharks are mean sumb&!**es... speaking of sumb*~~#es a few years back, back when I was... Still with my da..." she pauses for a moment, her expression turning wistful before she starts speaking again. "Anyway, we was up following the fishies closer to The Eye of Benny-who rather than down here in The Shackles when our boat was jumped by these ugly sumb%@@*es. And when I say ugly, I mean ugly like their mommas worked them over with the ugly stick the moment they got preggers cause no one ever taught them how to swallow. Their bodies were long and ganky and their heards were a little bit off, pointed or tilted to one side over the other while still rounded kinda, and their eyes were glazed over like a fishes. Some of em I saw didn't even have right mouths or lips, just sucking holes right there on their face drooling out constantly. Do they was ugly AND scary sumb~%#%es, but I don't like em so they're staying Ugly for the rest of this story. So all these uglies come out of waves at us whiles we were just fishing and, like any good fisherman and fisherwoman--fishwoman? Fish daughter?-- we didn't take to kindly to being attacked on our own little boat so out came the knives and the pikes which was obviously followed the bleeding and the tearing and screaming, from both sides. Well two against however the f$+$ many that came at us wasn't very good odds and before I knew it I had a harpoon or some other pointy object rudely inserted into my stomach and being hefted over the side, good as chum."

Taking a moment to point at the vicious scar on her tum she then sports a grin as she starts again. "Well obviously I didn't die... Or I did and no one was f$@#in polite enough to tell me I'm a ghost. Would have probably been better off dead though. When I finally woke up I was on the beach and the uglies had me strung up and we're doing some ceremony b!!!~+#% but when they noticed I was awake, or as inasmuch as I could tell pain from not-pain, well, that's when the real fun started. They brought out these little mallets and sharpened sticks. The dipped the sticks into tgese little pots and then..." sbhe pauses just long enough to run a finger on one side of her face and then the other, showing off the all encompassing shark maw on one and the capsizing boat on the other. "... They carved this onto my pretty mug. They carved deep too, you could skin me to the bone and you'd find the ink got carved into my skull. I'd bet all my gold on that. If I had any. And I know it because these ugly f*!$ers took their time. This wasn't some quick hour session at the port, this took days, hammerin and carvin my face till I passed out. Dunno if they kept goin when I was out, probably not. Sadistic sumb@*&@es. So after a few days of Hammer the Painted Spike into the Scared Girl's face they had me all pretty and ready for a Chelaxian Opera. And then the others came."

Stopping again to think Nymph's lips curl into a happy smile. "Ya'see, the uglies hadnt apparently done this just to me, whoever else they did this too had friends and family. Really, really angry friends and family. Really, really angry and violent friends and family. So while the uglies were too budy prettifying me these inlanders in lion masks all came down on them like the wrath of Gozreh. They chopped them bastards up good, chopped, skewered, tore. To say it was a bloodbath would be a gross understatement. It was a slaughter, a most pleasant offering unto most glorious Sekhmet. After the chopping was done, and all the juicy red chunks had gotten turned into chunky red salsa they cut me free and took me with them, home. Maybe they pitied me, maybe they saw how much I enjoyed watching what they did. Whatever the reason, they took me with them."

Having got caught up in her story, even adding semantic and flourishes to illustrate key parts, she stops to rest a bit before gocusing her eyes on Cog. "It turned into a happy story after that, doubt you wanna hear about that."

Cog follows along, almost eager during the most gruesome parts of the story. Of course he knows it has to have a relatively happy ending, so he's not overly enthusiastic by the time you finish.

Crazed wereshark cannibals caught you and wanted to sacrifice you to their god, that's a pretty good fish story girl. Gotta remember that one next time we're in port, could get a right number of drinks off that.

He chuckles to himself.

Waking up with a far less cheery disposition after being lashed into unconsciousness the previous night, Yuki has very little motivation today when it comes to vermin killing. She even takes time off to talk to Grok again.

Approaching the Quartermaster Grok, she puts on her game face smile, "Oh hello again! Just in the area, you got any rat problems in the store? Mind if I look around back there? How are you doing anyway? Everyone's been telling me how tough, but fair you are. It's gotta be a lot of hard work keeping this shop up, you must be really good at it."

Grok seems pretty happy to see Wulf and Yuki, and even more so once Yuki starts working her charm.

I got lots of stuff in there. There's yer own possessions of course, which I can't release unless the cap'n says so. I gots a fiddle, a fancy throwing knife with four blades, some acid, some of that fancy alchemist's fire which I ain't letting anyone buy on this ship, some tools for the sneaky types, candles...uh...

She thinks a bit more.

I gots some potions that make ya go fast, or make yer skin rough like a tree, or heal ya up good. Something we got from someone who called himself an all-pin exporer or some such with ropes and metal stakes and such, some priest water, some kit we took off a mummer, a glass that makes small things big, some chains, some bags with goo and such in them.

She's still counting.

There's a crossbow what's better than other crossbows, some cutlasses we took off a Chelaxian cutter, a whole mess of knives, a bunch of fancy throwin' darts, a couple of saps, a really nice sap, bunches of arrows, crossbow bolts, some fancy arrows and a few magical arrows.

To you exasperation she's still counting.

We gots some banded mail, a metal breastplate some ass was wearing before'n he drowned in the shallows, a couple of mail shirts, some fancy leather armor, three suits of really nice studded leather armor, some hand shields I got in trade for a set of brass instruments what we got from that mummer's ship I already told ya about, two really nice bucklers we took from some fancy fencers whose rapiers weren't good enough to avoid a bunch o' arrows.

She looks like she's winding up.

And finally we gots yer special stuff in this trunk: we gots a magical dagger, a magical stabbin' sword, a super warhammer, a bunch of scrolls of fancy healin' magic, a scroll that makes that magical armor on ya, a scroll that hits people with these magical bolts, another that hits people with a burning ray, one that summons a mess o' bees - don't ask me how that works - and finally that there wand what we got from a priestess of Desna before Scourge cut her throat that makes weapons all holy and such.

She looks at you dubiously.

Now to be honest, unless you done cleaned out most of the crew, ya ain't getting none of the stuff in that trunk. But it's nice to dream ain't it?

She looks over at two barrels in the corner.

Oh yeah, and I gots about 200 galloons of some really rank rum. Man, that stuff is foul - even when you do cut it with water.

Well, because I like ya so much I might be able to let it go for around 300 gold, that's with 20 bolts mind ya.

She digs around in the chest with the knives.

The knives and the sap'll set ya back 7 gp - that's 3 knives and a sap mind you.

Wulf takes the knives and puts them into his bandoleer. Then hides the sap in his belt for easy access.

Taking 20 on sleight of hand to hide it well, giving me a 28.

Carthus will part with one of the bottles of rum for Nymph without too much effort, but he keeps the other two for himself, even though he spends a good deal of his time turtle hunting.

Survial: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

The crew can hear Carthus cursing as he's been too successful - harpooning and bringing in a sea tortoise easily 200 pounds.

Galean meanwhile spends most of his time repairing the sails on the main deck.

Profession (Sailor): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24

Both Galean and Carthus get through their day with ease.

Nymph almost lets out a squeal of joy when Carthus hands over one of the bottles. Rum in hand she immediatley heads over to the Quartermaster's store to see if Grok is still there.

If Yuki and Wulf's bartering is still going on though she'll instead hunt down Tilly.

As you're moving through your daytime actions Jack Scrimshaw runs onto the deck yelling.

Something bit me! Something bit me down in the bilges!

Scourge yells at him to calm down and get below but as luck would have it Habbly Quarne is on deck.

Hey, boy, let me see that.

He grabs Jack's hand and inspects what looks an awful lot like a bite on Jack's arm.

Gods damn it, there is a bite. Maybe we took on more than supplies and crew in Port Peril.

He spits over the side and then turns around.

Come with me boy, we need to get moving. Gangrene'll set in if we don't treat it and then I'll have to saw yer arm off. Not pretty.

He drags Jack along with him and yells at Plugg to take care of the mess in the bilges.

Plugg glares at Habbly, then gets a smile on his face. He motions over at Scourge, then after they talk, Scourge gets a big grin on his face.

You lot! He screams at all of you. Get down in the bilges and find out what the problem is. And don't come back until you kill whatever it is!

All of you need to roll 1d6 - if you roll a value someone else had already rolled, reroll.

Her mouth opens but only a titter escapes before she coughs and begins speaking "Um, I, uh, just wanted to apologize again if I came on too strong and annoyed you the other day, I'm not really good with words as you can see." Which was true, the slight creakiness to her voice as she spoke attested to it. "So if we could start over that would be great but if not that's cool too I guess. It's whatever you wanna do." Not good with words and even worse with apologizing she fidgets for a moment before revealing the bottle of rum.
