Okay, campaign traits for everyone!
The Paladin already has Driven by Guilt. (This gives him a sort of mini-smite once per day.)
The Oracle took Twitchy.
The Wizard gets Formerly Mind-Swapped.
The Bard gets Sensitive Mind.
aware of dangers lurking nearby. While your memories
are hazy and indistinct, everything around you looks
vibrant and clear. You have an inkling that you have
always been perceptive and can tell a lot about a person
even in a quick meeting. This sensitivity can overwhelm
you at times, especially in your current situation.
You gain a +1 trait bonus on Appraise, Perception, and
Sense Motive checks, and one of these (your choice) is
a class skill for you. In addition, once per week you can
use the psychometry occult skill unlock even if you are
not capable of casting psychic spells or have the Psychic
Sensitivity feat. See Pathfinder RPG Occult Adventures for
more information on psychometry and other relevant
occult skill unlocks.
The Rogue gets Pugnacious.
Pugnacious: You awake in the asylum with sore
muscles and bloody knuckles, as if you were recently in
a fight. You even have a vague feeling that you won. You
can’t explain it, but you know that you’ve always been
easy to set off, and your first instinct when pressed into
a corner is to lash out. Stuck in the asylum sets you on
edge, and you not only want to figure out what happened
to you, you want to free yourself and find whoever did
this to you—and make them pay.
You gain a +1 trait bonus on attack rolls when
threatened by two or more enemies. In addition, once
per day you can gain one of the following effects as an
immediate action: You can increase the reach of your
melee attacks by 5 feet for 1 round, or you can treat your
weapon as one size category larger than it actually is.
The Mesmerist gets Foe of the Strange.
after a terrifying nightmare. Instead of being frightened
by the bizarre creatures from your nightmares, these
experiences have steeled you against these startling
alien beings. You know that you fell victim to strange
circumstances and loathsome forces, but you refuse
to give in to a creeping sense of helplessness. Instead,
you vow to fight back against whoever or whatever is
responsible for your current situation. The creatures of
your nightmares won’t hold fear over your head. You’ll
take the fight to them.
You gain a +1 trait bonus on saving throws against
extraordinary, spell-like, and supernatural abilities
of aberrations (for example, a gibbering mouther’s
gibbering or an intellect devourer’s confusion). In addition,
whenever you’re confused and roll to determine behavior
in a given round, subtract 10 from the result.
Note that in this campaign, traits may not be one-and-done -- they may affect your PC in unexpected ways, later on. Not relevant for a while to come, but FYI.

I was just thinking with my trait that I may play it like a side effect of some type of experimentation meaning the one per day ability. The reach...suddenly his arms growing longer...seems like a natural fit for something like that if you are okay with it.

What generally you remember. The higher your Fugue the better you remember who you are and what was your life prior to this.

Fugue 3
Wow.
Runs off with what DM gave out before DM retracts statement.
Vitæ Somnium |
Mesmerits get very few spells (I guess because they are such pricks).
I am allowed 2 First Level Spells.
I think I am taking Hideous Laughter.
For a 2nd Spell would you guys prefer Color Spray or Murderous Command?
Any help here guys?

Maybe "before" is what she calls people before they go through her tender mercies.
Oh, I got that 1 right!

We went pretty evil with our last game...this one seems primed to not be as evil, but more weird...so agreed.
Ultimately though, Ghelik is a good person, but who know what happened to him in the last couple of years.

yep that was just Fritz, for some reason it struck me that he doesn't like potty mouths...
I imagined Fritz as a proper Prussian cavalryman from the 1800s with a dash of Boy Scout.
Dashingly bold, chivalrous officer, and mommy's good little boy.

You're... about 80% sure, that the one on top now was the doctor.
Naughty level confirmed.

As it happens, we may be losing our Wizard player -- just as he was learning how to do this (PBP), he had to take off on a month-long trip, during part of which he'll have limited internet access. (Yes, that is still possible in this day and age.)
Let's keep playing while I contact one of the backup players.

DM you had some exceptionally good Way of the Wicked players.
Would any of them be available?
Also, if the person coming in is interested, I would be willing to trade the Wizard with the Mesmerist I in turn was given. The Class is definitely intriguing but fear I may not be doing the class justice.

If you want to play the Wizard character, we could arrange that. Contact me at my e-mail, please. (Not by PM -- for various reasons, I don't love the Paizo PM system, and prefer to work through e-mail when possible.)

Sorry all, was a very busy week leading to a big fundraiser last Sunday, I am en route to LA from New York today and will post and join by the next 24 hours.
I see 18 new posts in game, will jump on that as well by tomorrow.
Again, Apologies! Will be joining fellow lunatics in the asylum soon.

Appropriate
That film gave me nightmares as a kid. And I like World War II films.
Yordan Patar |
Yordan was Bernald Jehannum (the rejected hanger-on, pathetic little weaselling toady that he was), and then Balek Nine-Fingered.
Balek saves against Osei's spell. C'mon, LG cleric of an LG god is not going to accept infernal healing -- even if LG stands for Lawful Grumpy in Erastil's case.
Yordan is more ... flexibile.
Mith'aj the Tactful |
Yup, because infusing someone with evil energy on the edge of the Worldwound is a very ... thoughtful thing to do.
<clicks his teeth> Just so. Whatever saves lives.
