I liked it too. There's a lot of good ghost stories floating around in this story, and a solid horror atmosphere.
Should have thought to get Peredur some masterwork lockpicks in town--I’m assuming if there’s an alchemist’s, there’s a thieves’ guild. :) That would have been more useful than the potions...I thought the whole level would be flooded.
If there isn't a thieves' guild... I need bigger boots. :p With spiked soles.
i feel kind of strange about the way lockpicking works in relation to PBP. As long as its within the achievable results of a skill check, you're just going to keep rolling right? I mean... it seems silly to just keep reposting checks, but I don't honestly know how better to handle it.
It's up to you, DM Corvus. Though if we spend too much time at it, it's always possible we'll be interrupted, make noise, or party members will get bored and wander off alone... ;)

I don’t know what room-looting etiquette is. Forgive me for shoving stuff into your hands. :) I figure none of us are all that invested in who grabs what--nice to be in a group that isn’t loot-crazed--so I’m just trying to sort things out quickly.

remember, masterwork gives you a +1 to attack rolls for weapons and a -1 to any armor check modifiers that may be incurred by wearing it

thats one thing this adventure does: it is stingy with the loot, but where they put it MAKES SENSE. prisoners wouldnt have any +1 whatevers!

How would you folks feel about having one person keep track of party inventory? I think it might keep things running smoothly, and take some responsibility off DM Corvus. I’m willing to do it; I’m also cool with someone else doing it.
Now that we’ve found some loot, do we need some formal system for sharing it out? Sell and pool stuff, split five ways, deduct cost of items folks keep?

There's a loot list HERE, although I haven't tracked expenditures or disbursements yet. I'm going to try to make it editable, but in the meantime post here if you've used something. I also might have missed some gold.
I'll do some followup, here. Peredur has used three vials of holy water and one +1 ghost touch arrow, leaving 4 +1 ghost touch arrows and 13 vials of holy water. He also took one of the suits of mw studded leather and a mw longsword, and is going to argue strongly in favor of getting the mw thieves' tools.
What did Sour Heck pull out of the infirmary haul to trade?
He traded a healing kit, 2 x bloodblock, 2 x antivenom, 2 x smelling salts, and 2 x soothe syrup.
Leaving us with 1 each of bloodblock, antivenom, and smelling salts, plus a spare healing kit.

If he hadn't blown the save vs. ghostbane dirge, Peredur would have been doing less damage to him (and he probably would have been doing things like retreating into walls), and if he hadn't blow the save vs. hideous laughter, odds are good that some of the final round of attacks would have missed him. OTOH, if neither of those spells had worked we still had a couple of haunt siphons to hand.
either way, that worked very well for you all. lets see if you can keep the streak alive.

Just a quick heads-up: We (me, hubby, and daughter) are going to Florida next week. We're leaving Sunday and will return Thursday. We'll be spending two days in Orlando (Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure) with a one day side trip to Tampa (Busch Gardens). We will be bringing sufficient electronics (daughter's laptop, my Galaxy Tab and my Kindle Fire) to keep up with the posts, but I will only be able to post in the late evenings and not at all on Sunday (April 7) or Thursday (April 11). 17 hour drives aren't conducive to that, for some reason. ;) I'll have everything I should need with me, so there shouldn't be too much of an issue.
