I actually think we'll be ok. With my new 20' reach I will get more AoOs, and I have a good chance of killing two at a time. Any that make it through you can clean up. If I step back into the mist we won't have to deal with the archers as much. Lets hold off on a retreat for a round or two.

Since we still have the Illusion and I still have a good deal of Channel energy remaining we can probably hold out for a while still. But first, let's make it harder to lose our primary fighter.

Soth took several deep breaths as the Hobgoblin fell before him. All around he could hear the fighting continue and he knew he wouldn't have long to rest. Seeing the rest of the group forming up and Darians size increasing, Soth-Loren stepped over to the now large man and blessed him with a protective ward.

"Ragathial, shield him from our dark foes and keep his mind intact from their machinations." Darian you now have Protection from Evil.

"I'll heal us now."

Looks like you, Darian, Felix, and Taravel could all use some healing. Terra and I are still unscathed for the moment.

If we can all fight from within the cover provided by Terra's illusion I think we might stand a chance. That'll also put us near the river if we need to jump in for a hasty retreat.

Suddenly feeling much more confident, Darian grinned at the goblins.

"Come and get it you little bastards."


More goblins join the group facing Darian, but still seem to be a bit overcome by his size. Their bravery seems to grow with their growing numbers, and the warchanter's song edging them on. The appearance of some goblin riders almost tips their decision, but they remain in a noisy mob for now.

for those who speak goblin:
"You go firstest! No, wes be behind yous every step! Wes hased firstys time before, yous has firstys now! No Push, wes go soon, maybe!" and such from the mob.

The hobgoblins don't seem to be as impressed, and continue to fire arrows at the giant-sized Darian.

"Someone take down that chanter, it's making them braver than they ought to be."

Rather than allow the throng of goblins to come at them he instead moved out to strike at them first.

Between the arrows and the Sound Burst, the goblin hoard thins. The goblins are wavering, despite their warchanter's song, and even the remaining hobgoblin archer retreats back into the cave.

Just as all seems to be going well, two small, flaming creatures appear next to Soth-Loren and Darian!
The fire elementals attack, and heartened by their appearance, the goblins charge forward!

Don't forget Cleaving Finish off those AoOs. If there were others in that charge I could have hit, I should have been able to follow through to them.

Darian startles as the elementals appear but holds his ground. As the goblins rush in he swings his weapon and lets the tide break on his armor.

Then he quicksteps back halfway into the mist and points and whistles at the left-most goblin, calling for Gopher to finally engage while sweeping his polearm across the ranks of goblins.

Soth Loren was surprised by the two Flame creatures and struck by both of them.

Unfortunately after catching fire, he was charged by two Goblins who also managed to land blows of their own.

Soth-Loren started to withdraw from his unfortunate position only to find the fire had spread fast... too fast and he dropped to his knees with a desperate gasp. His sword dropped from his hand, then pain exploded all around his body.

I'm going to die... was his last thought, and then he fell into a painful darkness.

At -1 hp. Currently on fire and completely surrounded by enemies. Well folks, it was fun but this might be it for this Cleric.

Soth grabs a hold on his holy symbol and calls forth a burst of Holy light healing all but two of the downed Goblins.

Hefting her crossbow loaded with her last bolt, Emyralda steps toward Terra as she once again begins to sing an inspiring Varisian tune, bolstering her companions' courage.

Felix finally drops the goblin alchemist, his critical finishing it off.
The goblins continue there reckless forward charge, still somewhat inspired by the songs of the warchanter and the arrival of the goblins riding goblin dogs.

Soth-Loren gritted his teeth against the burning sensation at his side and backed away from the fire elemental and the Goblins.

He Wished he could be of more help to Darian but for the moment he could do little else except hope he would outlast the Goblin horde.

Darian gets 3 AoOs a round, not 2. It's 1+ Dex Mod. Also, one of those goblins rolled a 20, so might have crit against me.

Picked that one because he's the top of the attack list.

Took 8 damage, then healed 9. Current HP 21.

Darian yelled as more goblin blades found his flesh, and took a deep breath as Soth-Loren's holy energies immediately knitted the wounds closed leaving only thin new scars behind.

"Make way back there!" he barked over his shoulder, warning the others he was about to back up.

Delaying this action until Tara and Emyralda act, so they can move out of the path of my 5' step.

As the ladies behind him moved out of his way he swung again, targeting the rear rank of riders.

Gopher didn't want to listen. He'd just been blooded by his enemy's claw and he wanted it dead. It only hurt for a moment, but Gopher didn't really understand that the wound had already closed. He snapped at the smelly creature in front of him, hoping to bring it down before he obeyed his master.

Heeding Darian's request, Emyralda backs up a step as she continues to sing her inspiring Varisian tune to bolster her companions' courage. As she sings she alters a few notes of her song, causing a spark to ignite the smokestick as she drops it at her feet before reaching into her scarf to retrieve another of the alchemically-treated sticks.

Free action to maintain Bardic Performance (Inspire Courage). 5-ft. step to square AA,10. Standard action to cast Spark cantrip on smokestick. Free action to drop smokestick at NW corner of square AA,10; smoke fills 10-ft. cube covering squares Z,9-10 and AA,9-10 for 1 minute (10 rounds). Move action to retrieve another smokestick.
