DM Cobalt's Unshackled City
Game Master
Craig Mercer
Our heroes are based in Cauldron, the northernmost city in Varisia. There they try to survive missions for the city, intriques, and maybe even save the world... or maybe not.
Still here! +1 to what Darian says. I apologize for being slow to posting to this one. Weekends are difficult for all my games, and during the week I usually post from work where I can't access Google Docs, so that makes things more difficult for me as well.
But I'm still around and waiting for my turn in initiative.

Still here.
One thing that some play by posts do is that they have everyone declare actions for the round and then the DM takes that and does a round summery post. It puts a bit more work on the DM though, but then 1 round only takes about a day. If someone doesn't post in 24 hours, then they are either skipped, or dmpc'ed.
That's kind of wat I'm familiar with, honestly. I'm finally back in the states, so it shouldn't be much of an issue for me any more, but sometimes having to go back and reread everyone else's posts gets confussig to what they are actually doing. I know for me alone it has happened a few times, where I post without seeing something has changed and end up needing to redo my action because things have changed.
Hey guys, I'm really sorry, but I'm going to have to drop this game I think. I've become very busy lately, and I need to drop a few of my games in order to stay on top of things. Unfortunately, this one has moved very slowly and I can't really see the map most of the time anyway, since Google Docs is blocked at work.
Sorry for the inconvenience of losing another team member! I wish the rest of you luck with the game.
Sorry to see you go, Alanaes. I was looking forward to your character doing things.
I guess I'll just play you out this fight, and then we'll get to somewhere to add new characters for the rest.
This fight is almost over.
Well, after that big fight, everyone made 3rd level.
So update your characters, and give me a sign that you're still here.
Remember, HP are 1/2 your hit die minimum, or more if you roll better (round up, since 1/2 die always ends in a .5; d6=3.5, 4 hp minimum).
I'll go looking for more players. The next major point will be heading up the path to Cauldron, but you can play out the rest of the trip as much as you want. I'm not going to do a jump cut until you're ready to move on, so let me know.
Or, if you've got other plans, let me know, and we'll move on them.
Oh, and maybe collect goblin ears for a reward? Wasn't there a reward for goblin ears? Or something like that?
I've got a re-recruitment post up here.
Re-recruitment post
Please take a look and let me know who looks interesting. After all, you will be playing with them.
HP 15/35, AC 18, CMD 19/22, Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +1, Init +2
In the recruitment thread, the guy submitting Felix the Ranger is my GM in a couple other games. I can vouch for his writing and reliability. He'd definite be a good addition.

Because we are currently traveling with Gypsies (and I love any concept that works with the setting and story rather than needing shoe-horning) my vote is for the Bard, but with a caveat.
We should ask her to connect her story to the caravan we're currently traveling with.
Taravel, it would be super-awesome if you could do the same and connect your backstory to the bard's (childhood friends or something). You two could link up with us as part of an honor-debt and a desire to wipe out the goblins that have been attacking Shoanti caravans, and Felix could be hired to track them to their lair.
And I hav a history in Ustalav prior to the Crusades, so possibly anoher "in", though I also foresee us competing in some things which I had hoped to avoid.
The Paladin seems like a decent group buffer (of sorts) and enemy debuffer (again of sorts). Cayden <CG of drunkeness> as deity though???
Also seems to want to push the boundries really far on being a Paladin.
Zen Archer, I honestly don't know. Can't really get an impression just yet, well last time I checked over there.
I finally finished my equipment purchases. I also made a few minor modifications: switched Charming trait for Extremely Fashionable, swapped Open/Close cantrip for Mending, swapped Grease spell for Saving Finale, and moved some skill points around to be more well-rounded.
I'm willing to have Emyralda join the group in whatever fashion you all deem appropriate.
Welcome everyone, and congradulations to those that made it in. Hopefully we can get started soon. The games been on hold for about a week now, so hopefully soon.
