Buffs: Haste (AC23), Divine Favor, Destruction judgement)

Duncan feels the magic of his allies HASTE spell empower him, he holds his ground and accepts the charge of the creature in W4.
He then FULL ATTACKS on his turn.
He uses 1 round of Bane to hammer home hard with 1 handed chop.

1 hand Haste, DF, Destruction, Charge, Bane attack 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 7 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 2 - 1 = 25

1d6 + 8 + 3 + 2 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 2d6 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 3 + 2 + 3 + 3 + 2 + (2, 6) = 32

1d6 + 8 + 3 + 2 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 2d6 ⇒ (6) + 8 + 3 + 2 + 3 + 3 + 2 + (3, 5) = 35

If the first hit is enough to drop W4, the second attack goes to W3

Take that ye Beastie!

Question, Duncan: what creature type are you invoking your bane against? Also, I think you get an extra attack, at the expense of -2 to AC for the round; first attack is your readied action (short charge), then the second two are your full attack at your normal action.

Selveshanea, you'll also get another action; your readied action would allow you to close and charge, or forgo the charge and move around the wolves so you wouldn't have to take the Acrobatics check. In any case, the attack you rolled missed.

The only time I had an inquisitor use bane, I had to declare, so I thought that was a universal. Ah, well--everyone's guilty of overgeneralizing, right? At least I am.

Based on Eretria's description and his own knowledge, Duncan identifies the creatures as aberrations. And how many of you are surprised? Divine power surges through the inquisitor and into his blade; his first blow almost kills the creature before him, his second finishes it, and his third takes down the one next to it.

With Duncan finishing off the foes, Selvevshanaea moves over to threaten the other wolves Next to W2, looking to full-attack next round.

Ava will move around to flank the wolf creature with Hops.

Yay! Duncan is awesome

Weakly Godlike Entity

Ava, I'd put you there thinking you'd countercharge the wolfoids and take a bite attack with your readied action. You have the option, instead, of moving to flank on your readied action and then taking a full attack at your initiative. If that makes sense. Either way, you have at least another bite attack coming.

Ava tears into the wolfoid with her teeth, and immediately notices two things: first, its flesh is more resistant to your attacks than you would expect; and second, it tastes awful. Not bad enough to sicken, but really unpleasant. (Ava is also close enough to see that its "fur" is actually a mat of fine tentacles or tendrils, some of which are tipped with very small eyeballs.)

The bear roars and closes with Ava. But the crafty eidolon ducks under it, and its jaws snap shut on air.

Imizael and Hops are up!

Round 1 (ongoing):

Hops' first attempt at goring the wolfoid hits, because it had opened itself up charging. His second misses as the wolfoid twists aside. The boar notices the same effect that Ava did--the creature's flesh is tougher than expected. It is nevertheless in very bad shape. (Hops doesn't much care for the smell or the feel of the tarry black ichor the thing uses for blood.)

Eretria's spell crackles into the two remaining foes, and this time the magic bites on them. The bear manages to angle to avoid the worst of it, while the wolfoid is not so quick. Nevertheless, it seems to the sorceress' practiced eye that neither took quite as much damage as she would have expected. The bear is looking rather singed, but the flames kindled from Berbas' spell have gone out.

Then the wolfoid, clearly on its last legs, attacks. With a metallic snarl it hurls itself at Selveshanea and tears into the tiger's throat with its powerful jaws. Selveshanea, take 21 points. The tiger can act at the same time as the bear.

Bleeding foul-smelling, tarry black ichor from the arrows in its side, the bear rears up and falls on Ava like a terrible avalanche. The eidolon ducks one claw, but the other hits her, and the creature's massive fangs rip at her as well. Ava, take 20 points.

Then, of course, Duncan finishes the bear.

Duncan looks at the other bear, We gonna waste any more spells or just everyone dogpile it with arrows? Everyone still still breathing?

Weakly Godlike Entity

The other bear is carrying a person in armor, and isn't coming towards you at the moment; it's moving to intercept a wagon. Now that the wagon is a little closer, you can see that it's carrying four dwarves, and there's nothing in the way of animals pulling it--it's moving on its own.

Duncan re gathers his things and hustles off to the Wagon.

The wagon is about one thousand feet away, the bear is about fifteen hundred feet away from the party, and about eighteen hundred feet from the wagon. The party is moving about half as fast as the bear.

Oops, yes. Some of you are moving rather faster, and could get a head start on the bear.

I set off at a run, Selveshanea darting ahead toward the caravan.

Selveshanea won't get too far away that he is isolated but will look to get around and flank. I'll look to get into a good archery position.

Weakly Godlike Entity

The party heads towards the wagon, spreading out in a line as the faster members take a lead over the slower ones. Elesandira can see that the dwarves on the wagon are unlimbering heavy crossbows; it's not yet clear whether they think you're hostile.

Duncan keeps up the hustle. LOOSE YER SHOTS WHEN YE HAVE RANGE. AH'LL MEET EM WIT ME AXE WHEN WE GET THAR!

Hopefully still under the effects of the haste spell, Duncan uses the run action to close as fast as possible. He will draw his battleaxe as he moves and if needed will recast divine Favor if needed.
If we are still "in combat" his judgement remains active

"Don't aim for my companion!" Krol squeeks in an attempt to protext Ava as he doesn't want them to aim at her and points to his Eidolon, though with her claws out and her strange form revealed she is not going to appear as the most friendly of targets.

Weakly Godlike Entity

No worries, Krol. Although you don't understand the exchange, the dwarf who responded to Duncan doesn't sound that hostile. (OTOH, it's in Dwarven, so it might be a little hard to tell....)

While the dwarves are going for crossbows, the wagon slows down; the bear picks up the pace. Duncan, you manage to get between the bear and the wagon. Selveshanea easily makes it to the wagon ahead of the bear. Elesandira, you have the option of keeping close to Duncan and firing at the bear as it closes, or joining Selveshanea near the wagon and doing likewise.

Where is everyone else trying to position themselves?

The bear and its rider stop about a hundred feet short of Duncan's position, on an approximate line with the wagon, Selveshanea, and Elesandira. Duncan can see the rider hold up a hand and point at him before his view is cut off by a dense cloud that forms around him (Duncan, not the bear and rider). The rest of the party can see that the cloud is hemispherical, about 20' high, and it blocks line of sight from the wagon.
