I don't have the hex info handy, but I know some of my hexes give Day Job bonuses. Will roll tonight.

Day Job: Sleight of Hand + Boon: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 9 + 1 = 24

Kali will spend 2 prestige to buy Hex G, getting the Booming Settlement boon.

Day Job: Craft (baskets), Hex bonuses: 1d20 + 18 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 18 + 4 = 40

I will also buy hex C3.

Perform: 1d20 + 15 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 15 + 4 = 33

Asvald will be buying a hex too.

Profession (Schoolteacher): 1d20 + 14 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 14 + 4 = 37

Eva will purchase C5.

Everyone's on Normal this level, right? The recommendation is for Slow for Spire levels 10-15.

I'm on normal until it suggests slow again.

Normal track here too, just going with the recommended levels for the module.

While I'm getting things together, you can buy stuff--you have 11,787 gp from the level. Available items for the level are pretty scarce, though; +2 dagger, necklace of adaptation, and fully-charged wand of cure moderate wounds.

Hey all - messing around with leveling up Senja and had inquiries for you guys, as always:

I get a new hex this level, and am considering Scar or Ward, unless someone has a suggestion for something different.

I'm upgrading my Int headband to +4, unless we're not able to do that while still down in the Spire.

You can upgrade normally. I'm assuming that you take some time between levels to return to the surface.

Okay, good to know. Your post about what was available on the chronicle made me think perhaps it was different this time.

Those were the items listed on the chronicle, in addition to the default for your Fame.

Yep, got it. Sadly, I also realized that I don't have adequate fame to upgrade my Int Headband to +4. With 28 Fame, I'm only allowed to spend up to 11, 750 gp. I need 3 more to get to the 16,500 gp level.

Rats, that was fun, adding in lots of skill points and spells and such. Maybe I'll pick up a lesser persistent metamagic rod instead.

In regards to Senja's potential hexes, how were you planning using the Scar hex?

DM, is the not-being-able-to-squeeze-past-each-other a special provision of this scenario? Normally you can move past others even while squeezing (it's specifically called out in the "Squeezing" section).

Yeah, you're right. And that's two fairly major rules fails on my part in the last month or so, before we've even gotten to the *complicated* enemy. I'm sorry I'm screwing this up.

I'll be gone and mostly off the grid the first two weeks in August, and then at a conference most of the third week. Work should have been taken up with getting ready to be gone for that long; unfortunately, two people (fortunately not in my division...) tried to electrocute themselves in the past week, and management reacted by stopping all electrical work on site until further notice. In this case, further notice will likely be measured in weeks if not months. This has not made for a great deal of equanimity among the affected researchers (nor, it must be said, for me).

So I'm going to put the game on hold until Monday, August 21. Hopefully by then my head will be back where it should be.

Not a problem at all; my intention was definitely not to make you feel bad... I really don't think you should. :)

Totally understand. Life has a way of not being particularly nice sometimes, and it affects other areas, whether we want it to or not. Don't beat yourself up.
