Seeing that this was the last enemy remaining in here, Nakoda's grin was satisfied as the odds increased in their favor. She swung the pick again, not to wound him, but to force another opening for Zephram.

Zephram begins to move in time with his opponent, smiling as he makes clear that he's anticipating the other's moves.. and then strikes as the drow gets frustrated and tries to do something unpredictable... That seems to have worked..., he thinks as his narrow blade bites into the dark elf's flesh.

The fire, having consumed the spiderwebs quickly, died out. It was not hot enough to ignite the dozens of moldering books scattered about the floor. Left in its wake is an acrid smoke.
Quickly searching the bodies, you find they each have a mithral chain shirt, a masterwork buckler, a masterwork hand crossbow, ten +1
bolts, four bolts with a fire symbol on them, five bolts with a blue teardrop on them, two bolts with the familiar drow sleep poison on them, and a masterwork rapier. One also has 111 crowns in mixed coinage, while the other has 25 crowns.
There are double doors against the north and south walls, where debris and books have been kicked aside to make passage.

This circular chamber has a crumbling staircase on the opposite wall, leading up to a balcony that rims the room ten feet above the floor. Arranged around the balcony are a number of short pillars, several of which support a faintly glowing crystal globe.
Chasing each other about the balcony, fighting, and periodically watching the “pretty pictures” in the globes are a number of short, disgusting, potbellied creatures.
The creatures bloated frames shudder with each heaving step, yet despite that, they move with surprising quickness.
They are common Lesser demons. Dretches. (You may consult the Bestiary for the details, as you know all about them.)

Glad for the mutagen making the confirm roll fail.
Zephram winces as the beast bites through his armour and the stringiness of his mutated flesh, Even disoriented from my strike, the little monster managed to bite... and very nearly in a most vulnerable area. Apparently, these things are more dangerous than I'd thought... Still, best to dispatch it quickly before it can do that again. He starts to shift back and forth on the ball of his feet, almost hypnotizing the fiend, then striking suddenly with the dagger.

Sylvianna drove her cold iron punching dagger into the little demons kidney, slicing through its blubber like a hot knife through butter. The thing doubled over to retch due to the pain. Her other sword just bounced off it’s blubber.

Looking for the right line, Zephram lashed out with his cold iron dagger and buried it in its eye. It collapsed dead.

She managed to hit the little demon, but the blow was so light that the demon resisted all the damage. It laughed at her weakness.

Zephram starts to twist away from the beast's attacks, then notices the orb flying toward him and flings himself forward out of the way of the sudden burst of electricity.. but toward the demon's claws and teeth, getting inside the beast's attacks. He wasn't expecting that.... Finding himself inside the creature's defenses, he smiles, ...or, this, I'll wager, and slashes again with the cold iron dagger.
