DM Caleth's Bronze Age: Gods Among Mere Mortals (Inactive)

Game Master Saint Caleth

In the Old World, the Dragon God walks among mortals and the world languishes under his empire. Now, however there are other stirrings of divine power rising across the world, poised to change the course of history...

Samaerew:
I was imagining the headdress as more of this. Thus it takes up your head slot but will likely fit over a reasonably small helmet.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Sorry, I have missed some posting opportunities, having only had my iphone for checking the last 3-4 days and it is no fun to try and do google translating on.

"Byarsh, gerçekten bu ruhların bir nimet, onlar anlayış hediye ile size bahşettiği var.Setehk belki de Dagon Marduk vizyonu, açıklandığı zaman atıfta sizin kim, seçtiğiniz."

Sharrim:
Byarsh, truly this is a blessing of the spirits, they have bestowed you with the gift of understanding. The Setehk have chosen you, perhaps it is you who Dagon refered to when he described Marduk's vision.

Timmon seems genuinely in awe of what has transpired here.
"Ben bu kadroya koymak olabilir sanırım, ben, en azından size göre güç böyle bir öğe layık gibi parlar ama hissetmiyorum olduğunu gibi."
Sharrim:
I guess I could put one of those staffs to use, I like the one that glows but I don't feel as though I am worthy of such an item of power, at least compared to you.

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

Tama takes a look around the chamber, then moves to the door and gets ready to go.

In pidgin he makes it clear he's ready to move on and adds "Could we establish a marching order? I suggest the hunter, the warrior, the summoner, the seer then myself?"

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

His eyes turning from gray to an amber hue, Byarsh regards Timmon impassively.

"De geesten claim Samaerew, en zij spreken door mij, maar we zijn hier allemaal geaccepteerd. Door de vereniging, zijn we allemaal beschouwd als waardig. Het personeel is van jou het combineren van de bevoegdheden van de hemelen en de aarde."

Camthi:
"The spirits claim Samaerew, and they speak through me, but we are all accepted here. By association, we are all considered worthy. The staff is yours to combine the powers of the heavens and the earth."

Byarsh nods in response to Tama's suggestion, giving the affirmative regarding marching order. Seeing nobody else taking laying a claim, Byarsh bow to a statue before accepting the non-magical masterwork staff from it. He makes one last comment to Saraerew before stepping out of the room. "Benim konseyi sizindir."

Sharrim:
"My council is yours."

He will fall into line and follow Lylindra's lead.

Exciting Times. Here is the next room if you guys are ready.

The largest chamber in the tomb so far has walls covered with columns of the smaller pictures in red and black as opposed to more elaborate frescoes. The far end of the room is dominated by a massive stone sarcophagus which looks too massive to have come into the tomb through the small outer chambers. The lid of the sarcophagus looks like it has been cracked by massive blow at some point in the past.

It's hard to see on the map, but the sliver of B23 and 24 that you can see are stairs down into darkness.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

DM Caleth:
So what are the stats on the magical staff.

Timmon takes the staff from Byarsh. "Ik zal proberen te zwaaien dit personeel met grote doel en kijken uit naar het gebruik ervan tegen die van de draak."

Camthi:
I shall attempt to wield this staff with great purpose and look forward to using it against those of the dragon.

Timmon picks up the lit rock looking into the darkened corners looking for another way through besides having to proceed deeper into the earth. "Het laatste wat ik wil is om te gaan verder van de zon."
Camthi:
The last thing I want is to go further away from the sun.

Female Human (Southern Tribes) Ranger (Guide/Scout) 2

The ritual complete, and the boons sorted out amongst her companions, Lylindra will return to silence, disliking all the noise being made in a place with unknown dangers.

Stealth 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

She moves onward, leading via hand gestures, moving cautiously, with the silent steps honed by a life spent on the hunt.

She'll look around the new room, still alert for traps and the like.

Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

Stepping south, Byarsh peers into the sarcophagus. He prods the broken stone to check for anything left behind. Then, he performs a quick scan of the room for magic.

Perception 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Drøm's Perception 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Spellcraft 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29

Strangely, I find myself hoping this was the work of looters. The alternative - an animated ancestor bent on revenge - is less comforting. While we have the blessing of most here, centuries entombed can drive some spirits mad.

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

Tama brings up the rear watching and listening to make sure nothing is following the group.

Perception 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

He also studies the frescos and sarcophagus as we pass hoping to gleam some new insights to this ancient culture. His attention is clearly too focused on past events to be aware of current threats.

Knowledge History 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Knowledge Engineering 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

Hmm how did they get this sarcophagus in here? Probably not from downstairs...

Timmon:
The staff has the equivalent of the Lesser Illumination and Least Energy Assault weapon crystals (from Magic Item Compendium; gives 20' illumination and +1 fire damage when used as a quarterstaff).

The stairs down are also the only exit from this room, besides going back the way you came.

Byarsh:
The sarcophagus is completely empty. You can tell however that it was probably opened from the outside rather than the inside.

Tama:
You think that this tomb is very old, even by the standards of the First Men, since you can again see the image of a dragon bowing down to a human. You cannot for the life of you see any obvious way that they would have gotten the sarcophagus in here.

This room seems remarkably desolate and empty, even compared to the other rooms you have gone through. The stairs down seem the only way forward.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Grasping the newly acquired staff Timmon causes light (about the same amount as is on pebble) to appear on the end of it. He then picks up his lit stone and tosses it down the stairs a ways, hoping to illuminate how far the stairs descend. Batu stands beside him ever watchful for anything that might appear below.
"aşağı sanırım.Kılavuz üzerinde kurşun."

Sharrim:
Down it is I guess. Lead on guide.

You can see that the stairs go down for a while and then bend at a slight angle, preventing you from seeing the bottom. But assuming that you immidiatley proceed down the stairs, here is the map

The lower hall stretches off into darkness farther than your light can penetrate. It is lined with columns and life sized statues of the Setekh looming off into the shadows. To the right, you can see a huge floating crystal the size of a man amidst the shattered wreckage of some sort of wooden structure. The crystal glows slightly and looks like it has luminous sand swirling in it. At the edge of your light, menacing shapes shamble about and in the darkness beyond you can hear more movement.

Byarsh:
Map w/ Darkvision

With your darkvision you can see that the shapes are undead shambling around in the darkness. As you enter the room with your light, their heads snap towards the party

Please roll initiative, everyone.

DM Rolls:

Undead Init:1d20 + 0 ⇒ (14) + 0 = 14

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

DM Caleth:
Is the magical staff considered masterwork?

Female Human (Southern Tribes) Ranger (Guide/Scout) 2

Initiaitve 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

Initiative 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Know (Religion) - Max result = 10 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Know (Arcana) - Quick assessment of the crystal 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29

Byarsh performs a quick series of double-takes between the crystal and the figures to the south.

"Vooruit! De ondoden lopen!"

Camthi:
"Ahead! The undead walk!"

"Huzursuz ataları - dikkat!"

Sharrim:
"Restless ancestors - beware!"

Ah, look at all of these high initiative rolls! Clearly the characters have been itching for a fight.

Byarsh:
You aren't sure what the monster are beyond the fact that they are undead.

The crystal is another matter entirely. In your quick inspection from afar, you can only tell that it seems to be containing some sort of magical energy in stasis. You also have a nagging urge to go touch it.

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

Initiative 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

What are the properties of my headdress?

Görendir, bu doğru veliler ya da kutsal hakaret?

Sharrim:
Seer, are these proper guardians or unholy desecrations?

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

Samaerew's Headdress:

The item grants you a constant Endure Elements effect - originally intended for beating the heat of the desert. I can't say if it will work quite as well in colder climes, but we can cross that bridge later.

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

Initiative 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Knowledge Religion 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

If I learn anything useful about the undead I'll shout it out to the group.

Round 1 (No surprise round)
Initiative:
Lylindra
Byarsh
Timmon
DM
Samaerew
Tama

Enjoy.

Tama:
You can see that the undead in the shadows are skeletons.

Female Human (Southern Tribes) Ranger (Guide/Scout) 2

"Die dooies wat loop? Ek hou nie. Hulle bloei nie die manier om prooi moet nie."

Orcish:
The dead that walk? I do not like this. They do not bleed the way prey should.

She practically spits the words, reverting to her native Orcish.

Anger in her eyes, she moves up towards the edge of the light, ready to strike anything that leaves the shadows beyond.

Move to F8, ready an action to stab any creature in reach that steps into the light

Pre-rolled Readied Action:
Piranha Strike attack roll 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Damage 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

Oh no! Why does it have to be exactly 30' away?!?

"Daar is ten minste vyf! Mind hulle kloue!"

Camthi:
"I see at least five! Mind their claws! "

Fascinated by the crystal, Byarsh hustles over to the glowing surface and touches it to try and divine its purpose. He casts Detect Magic and focuses the cone towards the faceted jewel.

Preliminary Spellcraft (at least a round before I get anything useful from Detect Magic, though there may be something more to this) 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Perception to observe the strange sand 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Drøm's Perception 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Know (Planes)...because I'm concerned it might be important 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
Drøm's Know (Planes) 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15

Timmon is next.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

"De doden lopen? Wat fout magie is dit?"

Camthi:
The dead walk? What foul magic is this?

Timmon and Batu exchange words that hold no meaning for the rest of you and then Batu moves forward to press the attack. Timmon moves behind Lylindra and utters the word "Arvina".
Timmon: Move to E8 casing Grease on squares J-K/7-8 (I will need Reflex saves for the skeletons DC14).
Batu: Move to I7 and take a swing at the skeleton in J7 (May or may not be prone based on save)
Slam Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 (+4 vs prone if failed save), Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Byarsh:
The sand in the crystal does not seem to be actual sand, but instead some sort of energy swirling around in a vortex. As you touch the crystal, the sand energy inside seems to flow across your hand and into you. You feel the power born of the desert flowing into you and somehow it senses your skill at speaking to the spirits. You feel that that skill is enhanced and any connection that you made with the Setekh during your communion before has grown stronger. From touching the crystal, you get augury as an SLA 1/day. The crystal has a strong universal aura.
Knowledge(Arcana) would be more appropriate here than Knowledge(Planes), but since you have the same modifier I'll let you use the same result to save time. You know that crystals can be used as magical capacitors to store arcane energy for very long periods of time.

Lylindra stalks forward and waits for an enemy to emerge within her reach, but none do.

Timmon's spell successfully brings the two visible skeletons down, and Batu stomps on one of them, crunching ancient bone.

The undead shuffle forward inexorably towards you, and you see more of them emerging from the darkness. An arrow streaks out of the dark, striking Lylindra (5 damage), and the two skeletons who fell victim to Timmon's spell rise slowly to their feet. (Batu can make an AoO), but cannot move forward through the conjured slime.

Updated Map

Samaerew's turn.

DM Rolls:

Skeleton Ref 1:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Skeleton Ref 2:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Skeleton Attack:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Skeleton Damage:1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Skeleton Acrobatics:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

Seeing that the undead are clearly hostile, Samaerew moves to the front of the pack and attacks the nearest one. Move to H8

Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

He misses, I assume.

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

Tama begins to orate. He inspire courage in all allies. (+1 attacknand damage)

He then moves forward to H10.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Batu AoO Slam Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 + 4 = 20, Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4. <-gotta love them minimum dmg rolls.

Female Human (Southern Tribes) Ranger (Guide/Scout) 2

Lylindra, annoyed even more, spits on the ground and heads into melee, where firing bows will be more difficult.

Move to H-9

The wound in her side, though reminds her that an all-out attack is unwise. She fights with a defensive stance, still maintaining the swift blade technique that's served her well in the past.

Attack, defensive fighting, piranha strike, bard inspired 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Damage 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Her AC increased by 2 this round, to 18

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

There's just never enough time, is there?

Parting from the crystal and promising himself to return later, Byarsh heads back into the main room to F7. From there, he manifests Fortune on Batu.

"Geesten van aarde te slaan waar!"

Camthi:
"Spirits of earth strike true!"

Batu may roll twice and take the higher result for one d20 roll this next round.

Timmon is next

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

I am hoping that 8 damage is enough to dismantle that first skeleton but the move is the same regardless.

Timmon move forward and utters "Adhibete monstrum", Batu shifts to the side and strikes.
Timmon moves to G8 and summon a Celestial Dog to L8, attacking the skeleton in M8.
Batu 5ft moves to I8 and full attacks (if the skeleton he had attacked is not destroyed by the prior 2 attacks he will continue the attack or attack the creature in I9.
Celestial Dog Smite Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5, Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Batu 1st Slam Attack(Fortune): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14, 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15, Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Batu 2nd Slam Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7, Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

DM Caleth:
Vitals:
Timmon HP: 10/10
Timmon AC: 13
Batu HP: 14/14
Batu AC: 15
Celestial Dog HP: 6/6 (9 rounds remaining)
Celestial Dog AC: 13

As Batu reduces the skeleton before him to shards of bone and corroded armor, more of the undead continue to pour out of the darkness surrounding you. Batu and Timmon's summoned hound continue to tear into the undead. A zombie charges from the shadows with it's shuffling gait and launches itself at Samaerew. (6 bludgeoning damage). The skeletons near the hound both attack it mindlessly (2 damage). One has a bow and provokes an AoO. A skeleton also charges from behind a pillar at Tama swinging a surprisingly ornate khopesh. The skeleton in F11 unfurls a strange looking barbed whip and flicks it at Lylindra. As the tip flicks past her, it becomes clear that the barb on the end is modeled on the stinger of a scorpion.

The zombie in front of Batu retaliates against him, and the zombie in J9 continues moving forward, pushing it's way slowly up to Samaerew. And provoking an AoO from Batu.

Round 2 Map

Remember your bardic music bonus everyone.

DM Rolls:
Zombie Slam on Samaerew:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Slam Damage:1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Skeleton 1 Attk:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Skeleton 2 Attk:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Damage 1:1d6 ⇒ 2
Khopesh Skeleton Attack:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Whip Skeleton Attack:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

Samaerew attacks the zombie in H7.

Attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damage 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

I think the map is wrong. I beilve that I should be in H10 and Lylindra is in H9.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

As the skeleton pulls back on his bow the summoned dog it snaps, hoping to remove the arm but failing miserably as he is hit from the other side.
Celestial Dog AoO Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5, Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
As the zombies shuffle past Batu he seizes the opportunity to strike at one of the them.
Batu Slam AoO: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12, Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Wow, that is some spectacular rolling again.

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

Tama maintains his performance and attacks the nearest skeleton.

Combat Stats:

AC 15
HP 9

Attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Tama swings his sword with more finesse than force. His clever blow strikes home, but doesn't have great effect

Oops. Here is a new map, I checked and all of the same attacks can still happen with your new positions, so I am not going to go back and redo the DM's turn. Technically Batu doesn't get the AoO now but I'll give it to you since it was my mistake before.

Correct Map

Samaerew stabs at the nearest zombie with his trident, scoring a hit directly to the chest, but the damage does not seem as effective as it would on a living target.

Tama lunges forward in what would be a precise sword strike on an opponent with flesh, but which does not seem to do any damage to the skeleton at all.

Batu stomps again and pulps the zombie in front of him into the statue behind it leaving bits of undead flesh tangles with the stonework.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

This may be a little out of turn since Lylindra and Byarsh go first but not sure I will have any time to post later.

Batu sees the zombie lurching it's way towards Timmon and turns to attack it.
Full Attack Zombie in H7.
Batu 1st Slam Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12, Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Batu 2nd Slam Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12, Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Timmon grips his new staff tightly, steps towards the lone skeletal figure as it emerges from the shadows and frantically swings at it hitting the statue beside it instead.
5ft to F9 and attack skeleton in F10.
Timmon Quarterstaff Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9, Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 (+1 fire dmg)

The Celestial Dog growls and tries again to dismember the skeleton in front of it but fails to connect.
Dog Bite Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9, Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

DM Caleth:
Vitals:
Timmon HP: 10/10
Timmon AC: 13
Batu HP: 14/14
Batu AC: 15
Celestial Dog HP: 4/6 (8 rounds remaining)
Celestial Dog AC: 13

Ranting:
Wow, that dice roller really hates me right now.
Combat Attacks rolls so far: 6,12,2,9,10,2,2,7,7,7,7,6

Female Human (Southern Tribes) Ranger (Guide/Scout) 2

Noticing the skeleton behind her, and it's clear line to Byarsh, Lylindra curses under her breath. She steps back five feet, not leaving herself open for attack, and continues a defensive assault.

5ft back to G-9
Attacking skeleton in F-10, still Piranha and Defensive 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Damage 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

Stepping closer to Lylindra (F8), Byarsh holds out his staff and prepares to release his grip if Lylindra takes it.

"Met weinig vlees te snijden, misschien wordt dit personeel zal toeslaan waar"

Camthi:
"With little flesh to cut, perhaps this staff will strike true."

Flicking between Lylindra and the offending skeleton Byarsh's eyes briefly turn silvery with enormous pupils that shrink to pinpoint size in a split-second (almost as though they were zooming in or acquiring a target). He passes his blessing of Fortune to Lylindra.

One of Lylindra's d20 rolls may be double-rolled. If she so desires, she may "draw" the masterwork staff from Byarsh. I figure a lower bonus to hit but doing 1d6+2 might be more attractive than consistently dealing 1d4-1

Batu batters the zombie before him, drawing its attention away from what is directly in front of it.

The skeletons around the hound continue ripping into it, causing it to vanish from existence in a splatter of pinkish ectoplasm. (The hound does get one last AoO on the bow wielding skeleton)

The undead continue emerging from the shadows, one zombie shuffling its way up to Byarsh, although it is too uncoordinated to attack until it regains its footing.

The zombie in H7continues batting away at Samaerew ineffectually against the paladin's armor.

The skeleton in H11 continues slashing wildly with its khopesh, not even coming close to connecting with Tama.

The zombie in front of Batu slams itself into the stone creature with force that would be bone crunching if Batu had bones. (6 bludgeoning damage) As the skeleton behind him also launches into an attack, connecting with its clawed hand and making a hideous screeching noise of claw on rock. (6 slashing damage)

Map

DM Rolls:

Skeleton on Hound 1:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Skeleton on Hound 2:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Damage will kill the hound regardless.
Attk. on Samaerew:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Khopesh Attk:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Zombie Attk. on Batu:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Zombie Dmg:1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Skeleton Claw 1 on Batu:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Skeleton Claw 2 on Batu:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Claw Damage:1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Celestial Dog AoO Bite Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7, Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5. <-Worst Celestial Dog Ever!

If it makes you feel any better the monsters are having about as much trouble doing anything useful.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

DM Caleth:
It only makes me feel better if we survive this. Tough fight for a bunch of 1st levels. It is a CR5 encounter which is going to kill most 1st level parties. Hopefully our luck turns for the better soon.

Timmon:
Don't worry, I promise you that I know what I am doing. My encounter calibration sense might also have been thrown off by the fact that the last three groups I DM'd for powergamed the living crap out of everything. Please do not head down that road, for that way leads madness and suffering. I'll get used to what your guys can handle with time.

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

Oh, I don't think I noticed Timmon's new placement in fighting the khopesh skeleton. Lylindra is perfectly welcome to continue knifing things - particularly the frightful zombie(s) to the west. Fortune will work just as well either way.

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

Tama maintains his bardic performance, takes a 5 foot step to I9 and hacks at the zombie in J9.

Attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Damage1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

He again swings his blade with nimble skill, but doesnt seem to be getting much weight behind it...

I've stepped on Samaerew's turn but am calling it a night and wanted to get something posted first...Also, a rules question can I bardic performance (orate) while casting a spell or do I have to stop performing cast and restart my performance ?

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

Actually you stepped on Caleth's turn (and then mine). As for the question, IIRC you can cast while performing.

Samaerew is right, maintaining the performance is always a free action. Also it is Samaerew's turn, DM's turn is a few posts above.

Tama slashes at the zombie which had already taken a battering from Batu, neatly dismembering its weakened and putrifying form.

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

Oh. Right. Fail.

Seeking to protect Byarsh, Samaerew spins around and lunges at the zombie attacking him. (Five-foot shift to G8 and attack ZombieF7)

Attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Damage 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

DM Caleth: would you be able to post an updated map with which creatures are down and which ones have takes hits already? Nothing like having a whole bunch of enemies that have been hit already and then attacking a whole one.
