Game Master Saint Caleth

In an ancient world, a group of recently freed slaves join the fight against the tyrannical Dragon God, possibly to end his reign forever...

Male Human Soulbolt 4

Like I've said before, I'm still here, and will be to the end.

Half-Orc Barbarian 1

I'm still floating around. Last few posts haven't really given Krathok much to react to / do, hence the quiescence.

It happens sometimes with games. They lose momentum sometimes.

I'm going to try to start another game, and let this game continue on at the slow pace that it has been going at. I think that I will be able to run a new game and keep this one going intermittently. I still have some very cool things planned.

My next game is going to be set in the same world ~1400 years in the future, so no matter how much longer this game goes, I would like some thoughts from you as to what you characters would do during the war against the Dragon God. I have some ideas based on character-centric plots I would have introduced later on.

Not entirely sure where I was going with Orion. He's got anger issues with his lineage.

Orion:
My original plan was that if you guys "win" the campagin, the Dragonborn would nominate you as Emperor and you would wind up contending with Belisarius for the throne if you accepted. Obviously the game is not going to get that far, since I am going to stop this game after what I originally planned as the end of Part I.

Male Human Soulbolt 4

Caleth, I had intended to keep Quodak going, working more and more fiercely towards the downfall of the Dragon God. If necessary, he could help any that arose with powers similar to his (as unlikely as that would be), and he would in general be a very mobile ranged fighter, often acting as a scout, although able to hold his own if worse comes to worst.

Half-Orc Barbarian 1

I'm not sure what Krathok would actually do... as he's still not sure of the politics and what not involved.

Caleth - although I know that you feel obligated to keep this game going... but your post above seems to imply that you've mostly resigned it to 'plodding along' after your new game gets going.

I've a potential suggestion - why not take Quodak and Orion into the new game and then recruit up the rest of the party from the recruitment thread? I wouldn't shed too many tears retiring Krathok, as I've been keeping him going more for the sake of them.

Would that be a possibility? - perhaps the nature spirit revenges by freezing them in purgatory and they miss the war - only waking up when the fight is already over.

I didn't mean that I was keeping this game going out of obligation, I just know that it is likely going to move slower than the new game.

If there are too many people in the other recruitment thread, I was going to invite some of them to join this game and get it going again, so I am purposely trying to drag out this encounter a little to give that a chance to happen.

I can't really introduce Quodak and Orion into the future, since I already plan for them to be legendary and historical figures in the other game.

I'm around. Just FYI.

Half-Orc Barbarian 1

After some deliberation I'm going to respectfully withdraw from this PbP. It's been fun along the way and many thanks to Caleth for running it.

Wish you all the best in future gaming.
