Male Shoanti Barbarian/Summoner 10 | HP: 111/113 + 0 temp(s) AC: 34 (+1 adj to Derek)
That would be nice...
We should take this as a lesson: When given the opportunity to fully prebuff before a big fight, do it.
Now need to do damage control. Maddok needs to get in there and start tying up the enemies but he's too hurt to commit. Hopefully Appario will be able to buy us some time.
Another option is to retreat, and come back later. Perhaps even only a few minutes later, after things like erinyes-summoning and blessing of fervor have expired, and the party has had a chance to heal back up.
And if you think a retreat would be a defeat, just consider that you've already killed 3 mohrgs, a mummy, and 29 zombies :)
By the way, Xerath has 2 heroism's running, for himself and Yahirma. I have probably forgotten to apply Yahirma's heroism to her saves; I'll go back and see if that changes anything for her.
As another aside.. if Derek had bardic performance running, he would have been able to use saving finale to keep himself from being paralyzed.
I am open to a brief retreat and respite. Due to podcasting and finishing up an Eyes of the Ten bout this evening, I won't be available to post anything meaningful until late this evening.

No rush, Yahirma, but Apps is also going to wait upon you and your post. I have a lot of dumb/fun options but need to know what Derek does before I enact any of them.
Like, fer instance, if Derek comes outside and shuts the doors, Appario can full round disable the doors from opening. Could be fun.
I know, but this semi-retreat seems like a pretty poor plan.. especially considering Derek is still in plain view and will be unconscious if he takes 9 damage, and dead if he takes 22 damage.
I don't think I've remembered to mention this before, for some reason. Anyway, since there are two spring-attackers in the group, it's probably worth telling you that in my home campaigns, the Vital Strike chain of feats works with Spring Attack. So if Appario or Derek are looking for feat options, that could be worth considering.

Ooh. Good to know. I think we'll have one more shot at a feat, right? Appario might take you up on that.
I do wonder how Appario will feel about not only leaving her behind, but with supplies for the specific purpose of creating more undead :)
Yahirma's not one to make a big point on the subject, lest it remind Appario that there's more than just diabolical evil afoot.
A-yep. Appario isn't lawful stupid: he focuses on maintaining the tenets of Abadar. I'm pretty sure that Abadar doesn't have any strict laws against the undead, and there are more serious crimes (robbery, swindling, anti-civilization stuff).
As such, Appario isn't excited to be letting her live, but if she's forking over her gear as an indulgence and if she can work within the laws of Westcrown (and most Asmodeans do), Appario shouldn't be breaking any of Abadar's prime teachings.
Of course, if you have a different understanding, GM Are, I'm happy to discuss.
I wasn't thinking about paladin-falling, but rather what he would feel about it personally, considering he seemed intent on smiting her a few posts ago :)
By the way, consider that most of those undead-creating supplies are in fact in the form of 7,000 gp worth of gems ;)
I didn't that "sufficient onyx" stones was going to be all 7000gp of them.
Well, I'm assuming at least half of that can be used to buy an indulgence for "disorderly conduct and planned mischief" (which is the only tangible crime to Appario right now), but am happier as a metagamer when the party's planning and schemes happen.
280 HD of undead? Oh dear! I think I missed the placement of that stone. Was that tied into the phylactery, or was that separate (and, if I understand Appario's suggestion, 50% looted)?
"Sufficient" would be whatever you see fit to leave her with. She can no longer create mohrgs (unless the prayer bead is also left with her, but that seems rather unlikely!), but each mummy would require a 400 gp gem, and each zombie would require a 50 gp gem.
Yahirma: The onyx gems were in a sizeable chest (next to several clay pots filled with dirt), separate from the phylactery.
(slight calculation-correction: 140 HD, not 280 HD; enough for 10 mohrgs, for instance)
By the way, Derek should certainly not be at a particular disadvantage by, for instance, taking 10 on that disguise check. He'd still have a result similar to Appario's take 20 result, and higher than Xerath's spell-powered result :)
"I'm at a wedding this weekend, and it seems I will have no easy access to internet. Yahirma's plan, if it can be called such, is to let our disguised fellos try to talk their way into getting the doors open. Blast things if that fails."
I'll get a post up tonight enacting this plan unless Derek beats me to it. I'm about 8 hours away from doing that.
