So he didn't have to walk back to his tent to start skinning you after he killed you?

A practical torturer!

The campaign has been great so far!

Ah, right. Forgot to mention that before.

I must say, this is one of my favorite games I'm in. The pacing is awesome, even if I have been struggling a little more than usual to keep up recently. It's even nicer being actually able to hit things (I think my recent string of crits is the dicebot's way of making up for my insane bad luck at the start), and the story is interesting as well.

Thinking of which, for everyone: what crafted items do we want? We do have a ton of alchemical crafting supplies. Also, what magic items did Novvi have this time?

Besides a few potions and scrolls, the only item of note Novvi has is a set of lesser bracers of archery. But you can put in a request for specific items, and she will try to find them elsewhere and bring them to sell next time she returns.

Male Dwarf Geokineticist 17 HP 143(296)/325; AC 28/20/22 (defensive training) (+2 v goblins, +4 v giants); DR 13/Adamantine; 35% crit/sneak attack negation; Acid Resist 10 Saves +27/+19/+15; +5 init, +28 Per; 5/15 burn, 3/3 Internal Buffer

So..... who wants what?

Assuming over time we can liquidate everything through Novvi (can we assume that? It would be nice to liquidate our trade goods, for bookkeeping if nothing else.

Hmmmm..... am I the only on who kind of wants to try the downtime rules? Might be fun to turn Misthome into a proper settlement, with a thriving economy. Or not; I've never tried the settlement building rules, so I don't know how enjoyable they are.

Yes, you can liquidate everything you don't want to use.

By the time you are ready to adventure again, Misthome will have effectively become a village for the purposes of economy. But it lacks the resources for a long-term settlement, so you might want to wait on the downtime stuff until you find a more permanent home.

Male Dwarf Geokineticist 17 HP 143(296)/325; AC 28/20/22 (defensive training) (+2 v goblins, +4 v giants); DR 13/Adamantine; 35% crit/sneak attack negation; Acid Resist 10 Saves +27/+19/+15; +5 init, +28 Per; 5/15 burn, 3/3 Internal Buffer

So....
We functionally have 1,800 gp in alchemical items available to us. Do we just want to sell them for half price, or what kinds of items do we want to get?

Male Dwarf Geokineticist 17 HP 143(296)/325; AC 28/20/22 (defensive training) (+2 v goblins, +4 v giants); DR 13/Adamantine; 35% crit/sneak attack negation; Acid Resist 10 Saves +27/+19/+15; +5 init, +28 Per; 5/15 burn, 3/3 Internal Buffer

Throwing up a quick list of stuff we might want to sell:
+1 short swords (2), cloak of woodland creatures (what is even with this thing?), formula alembic, +1 whip, and most of the masterwork weapons (does someone want the mwk light crossbow?) and the poisons.

Up for debate: +1 chain shirt, +1 heavy wooden shield. Does anyone want these?

Is there anything in these that anyone wants to keep? Beyond that, the only things I can really spot that one of us might want to keep are the page of spell knowledge (Karla) and +1 light fortification spiked studded leather armor (Rogar). Once we sell, though, we'll have plenty of gold for a shopping spree, somewhere above 20,000 gp if my initial estimates are good.

Finally, we could either sell the darkwood and eelskin as trade goods, make a shield/armor out of them for one of us, or make something out of them and sell them. Which do we want to go for?

DM Brainiac: What is the availability of masterwork full plate? The tricky part is that I would need to spend a feat on Heavy Armor Proficiency, but I don't want to do that unless I know the armor is available.

edit: +1 full plate would be even better, but is more likely to run into purchase limit difficulties.

You can either buy or craft a suit of mwrk full plate without any issues.

I thought about crafting, but when I did the numbers it seemed like it would take something like a year to make:(

Edit: If I understand correctly, the Craft result x the craft DC is the amount of progress, in SP, each week. Assuming that the crafter can take 10 and get a total of 20 (although I don't know that Kining can do that), for mwk full plate that would be:
20x20=400 SP, or 40 GP per week.
1650 GP/40 GP/week = 41.25 weeks

That might be a reasonable time given the amount of work involved (custom fitting each component), but it's not very practical in terms of an AP timeline.

Yeah, the crafting rules are wonky. I would allow you to craft it faster and get it done in just a month.

I would be interested, eventually, in a rod of extend. Could it be ordered through our contact?

Also, could I get a set of armour for Nik'o?

You can purchase a lesser rod of extend, as well as light barding of your choice for Nik'o. Remember she will have to take the Light Armor Proficiency feat to avoid taking attack penalties.

Ok thanks. These will arrive only with the next shipment though, right?

Yeah, but you will get it before you start the next adventure.

Karla's leveling highlights:

1 skill: Swim.

Okay.....
So, selling almost all non-consumable items we have collecting dust (assuming we have our raw materials crafted, then sold) nets us about 18,000 gp, combined with our previous 7,000 gp and divided by four gives each of us 6,265 gp to spend. I'll also happily pay everyone 500 gp to account for what we would get for selling Scarnivorious' armor, so you all have 6,765 gp for shopping, assuming this is how we want to divide things up. So.... yeah. Take a look at the spreadsheet, see if there's anything you want different, or if we want to divide loot differently.

DM, what's the upper limit for what we can special-order from Novvi?

No single item can be worth more than 8000 gp.

That lieutenant looked badass!

Too bad she was ineffective in combat! :P

Ah, that’s just what happens when I can actually hit something. :) I really have no idea why people think Kineticists are underpowered.

In my experience they are extremely powerful. Sure, they only do one thing, but they do it well. They hit like a truck and have buckets of HP, and it's very easy to mitigate burn.

DM Brainiac wrote:

Apologies. I read this post to mean that combat was over. Thanks for botting!

No worries. :)

Let me know if you want to approach the front gate, the hole in the wall, or by some other method.

I'd suggest the hole in the wall, unless we have a way to deal with the plant.

Active Spells:
Barkskin, Blur, Greater Magic Weapon
Healing Hexes Used:
Human Flame Spirit Shaman 17 | HP: 181/181AC 37 T:18 F:34 | Saves F:17 R:15 W:22 | Init:4 | Perc:21/25| CMB:15 CMD:36 | Speed: 30

FWIW, Wulfram can use the scroll of silence, if we want to take out the plant (he used his human favored class bonus to add silence to his spell list). Not saying that's what we should do, but just presenting the option. The silence would only last 3 rounds, though.

Barring further information, the hole in the wall would be my suggestion. Let's wait until the guards have gone around the other side. Eustoma and Roger could sneak forward first, then give the signal for the rest of us to move forward.

I think I misunderstood our options. I didn't realize that we would be trying to sneak past the guards (which Wulfram has no hope of doing). If we were going to do something where combat was likely, Wulfram would have pre-buffed with Bless and Bull's Strength.

It would help a lot if I could see a map before posting my actions.

Sorry, I thought you were sending Eustoma and Rogar to get in closer and ambush them. I will get a map up within the hour.
