The varisian woman starts to walk toward the beach trying to stay behind plants and to move silently.She leaves the scimitar in its scabbard but takes it with her.
Iolana isn't trained in Stealth,but she isn't trying to actually use it,she just walks slowly and trying to look non aggressive,but staying under cover as much as possible.I guess the mechanics are up to Bloodgargler

Syndlara shrugs and moves to approach the camp from cover, picking her way through the underbrush swiftly--though her flamboyant red-and-black attire detracts from her efforts, her elven grace makes up for it and she quietly slips closer to the camp.

As the two of you approach, you come up behind what appears the be a woman in ragged clothing staring out to sea. She has not yet seemed to notice you. You only see her from behind, but from the state of her dress - she has been here for a while.

The woman slowly turns her head. No jaw, skin like butcher paper over grey and molding meat. It then turns fully toward Iolana, its head lolls a bit, and then it takes a step.

Syndlara cuts into the creature ... tiny motes of dust puff from the wound as she slashes into it - though barely effects her despite the force behind the blow. A smell of rotting vegetable matter as much as the stench of death comes from the evil thing.
It swings around and slams into Syndlara with incredible strength.

Wiping a trickle of blood from the corner of her mouth, Syndlara backpedals a few steps while warding off the undead woman with her scimitar. Crooking her fingers in a brief gesture, she murmurs a few words of Elven in a sing-song cadence. As she does so, the pain in her expression fades.

Gatherine started to charge towards the battle,struggling through the tangled underbrush.She wanted to either get a proper shot without hitting anyone or lob a flask of oil and set it aflame.

Syndlara slashes into the zombie's back. In addition to hacking a fair way into it's spine, the strike cuts through the rotting strap of a satchel that hangs over the zombies faded and dated traveler's dress. She watches her satchel fall, then turns around again toward Syndlara with a balled fist. Syndlara can feel the force of the whoosh of air - just missing her nose.

Sheathing her scimitar as she rises, she gives Iolana an exhilarated smile. "So much for survivors," she quips, waving at Mugambi, Gatherine and Tol as they approach.

When the other arrive,the varisian woman gets up,clumsily,and greets them clenching her teeth "Don't worry friends,i'm fine,sort of...OWWWW my chest."

EWWW.She smells like molded mushrooms and spoiled meat.The other zombies didn't stink so bad...could it be some kinda parasitic fungus that killed her?
Gatherine frowned at the zombie,giving it several stabs with the pointed heels of her boot to make sure it was truly down.
Do I need to make a heal check or knowledge check? I think this is one of those musky mold zombies!

Syndlara glances around, dabbing at the blood at the corner of her mouth. She feels the wave of healing from Mugambi wash over her, and the coppery taste of blood leaves her mouth. "Thank you, shaman," she says to the oracle. Recalling the satchel the creature lost when Syndlara struck it last, she turns around and kneels to pick it up. Standing, she examines its contents.

Dervish dancers actually lost the Bardic Knowledge class ability. *cough* It's the one thing I dislike about the archetype. So unless it's Knowledge (nature) or Knowledge (local), Syn wouldn't have a chance to know what it was.
