A foul omen looms in the sky over the scoundrel city of Riddleport, an ominous shadow that defies the light. Is it a curse laid millennia ago by forgotten mages? Does it forewarn against the return of some terrible foe? Or does it portend a terrible

Hey, Anklebiter knows folks don't like Goblins. ^^ He's happy with any information that allows him to avoid being punted or hit over the head in the future.

My goodness, but Anklebiter is a lot of fun to write! ^^ He's not malicious, but he's still getting used to the whole idea of non-Goblin civilization and morality and all that, so some of his thought and reasoning processes are... amusing. ;)

Good news! I'm moving to a new apartment!
Bad news! I'll be without access to the boards there until I can get connectivity. That means I'll only be able to post at work occasionally, and not at all until I get service.
Hopefully, that won't be too much of an interruption, but I will be unavailable for the next 48 hours or so.
No worries about the move, I'll DMPC you as necessary. On a somewhat related note, I am back in the country...and I came back to a busted motherboard. So, I am limited to work access and my iPad for the time being.
I hope things aren't moving too slowly for you guys. The first part of the campaign is pretty heavy with RP and less so on the fighting (though I have tried to sneak some in).
I don't know. I sent her a PM a couple of days ago and haven't heard back yet. We're not yet at the point where her presence is required, but if she hasn't posted by the next "event", I'll have to replace her.
Anyone know a good player, who can post regularly, that would be willing to put together a divine class? It doesn't have to be a dedicated cleric or healer, just someone that can heal out of combat and maybe use a wand or two.
The only other cleric submission was not a good fit. Black powder chocobo submitted a hospitalier paladin that might work. Anyone know anything about him or the hospitalier variant?

Varisians all know about Goblins. They're usually pests, but occasionally (when in numbers) they're a real threat. That, and 'everyone knows' they're all crazy. ;) Since I don't have Silent Image ready to hand to make it look like the boss is being threatened by a Paladin or a Vrock, this seemed the best way to make any bodyguards present abruptly very nervous. ^^

DM Bigrin, might Anklebiter have had time to visit the Cypherlords during the past few days? They might not give him the time of day, but then again, perhaps they would have talked to him in exchange for secrets of Goblin magic... ^^;
Hi there Bigrin, Motteditor mentioned that you were looking for a cleric class to fill a new vacancy. If the spot is still open I'd be glad to submit a character for consideration. I can post on a daily basis and would be happy to play whatever class/race that you feel would fit the group/campaign. Thanks, Adam
Haunted Oracle for your consideration, per the original guidelines I'll await for you to assign the second trait. I can always edit this if needed, or go with a new build if preffered. Thanks.

Calla snickers at the goblin's description. God help me, I think I like it. I'm not sure if it's mad or a moron, but it's interesting, at least.
The answer is, of course, that he's a Goblin! ;) The 'mad' bit is debatable, but the 'moron'? Not a chance! Moronic Goblins have more muscle and weaponry on them.
Born under the stars, Kelendra has always had an affinity with the heavens. Yet it seems hell has always followed her steps. Her peaceful family fled the ongoing strife in Nirmathas, an exodus from Fangwood that left her father and brother in shallow graves along the road to Riddleport. The port city offered little improvement, life was harsh, food scarce, and strangers cruel.
Her mother wasted away, depressed and broken hearted, passing three winters ago. Her younger sister sought solace in drugs and vanished into the underbelly of crime that thrived in Riddleport. Kelendra looked to the stars for guidance, as her mother often did during their flight from Fangwood, and found comfort in a small temple to Desna. Her devotion did not go unnoticed, the goddess visited the lost woman in her dreams and granted her the gifts of an oracle.
Still, food fills the belly and Riddleport had limited use for non-material visions. At the urging of her growling stomach, Kelendra sought work at a popular gambling hall after most of the staff left. Despite her trepidations and dislike of the silly succubus outfits the waitresses had to wear, she accepted the job and enjoyed the satisfaction of a full belly and a room to call her own.
But even those comforts could not hold her for long. A growing sense of urgency pushed at her, prompted by the black splotch that had appeared in the sky over Riddleport, and the goddess visited her dreams full of concern for the very heavens themselves...
Unless you were on staff the night of the tournament, you don't have to wear the succubus outfit. It was a one-time thing for the "Cheat the Devil" tournament. You know, theme and all.
Are you planning on leaving after the tournament, only to come back and beg Saul for a job again? Or a new hire after the PCs have been there a couple of weeks? I need some way to tie you in 2-3 weeks after the tournament.
Edit: Also, I have decided on your trait.
Forlorn: Kelendra's loss of parents and siblings in such a harsh manner, left her to scramble to survive. Though her mind was in the heavens, her body adapted to the poor food and living conditions.
Benefit: You gain a +1 trait bonus on Fortitude saving throws.
Hey all: Just a note to let you know I'm recruiting some replacements for my Kingmaker campaign, thanks to one player deciding touring Europe for six months after graduating is more important than gaming (lucky jerk!). No guarantees, obviously, but please feel free to apply.
Not that I've been Speedy McQuick post, but my niece is going through her high school graduation this weekend and it is going to be nuts around here so I may not be posting regularly until Monday if things are as hectic as I fear
No worries. I've been in DC for 4 days and this weekend is my anniversary (11 years) and Mother's Day, so I doubt I'm going to have too much time to post either. Still, I can set teh stage and you lot can fill is as can be.

Maybe it's a good idea for those capable of stealth to stay out of sight as much as possible while we advance? Give the enemy a skewed idea of our numbers, and all.

Anklebiter is in the stealthy group.
I suggest you we keep the stealthies outside and waiting while the burlies move forward and knock. But that may not be the wisest move, so please, everyone pitch in...!
Calla's definitely in the "burlies." She tends to be a bit too much of a blunt instrument to really want to do stealth much, even if she's actually very good at it when she has to be (thanks to her childhood).
Just FYI, my folks are in town this weekend, so not sure how much I'll be posting Saturday and Sunday. They do usually head off to bed three or four hours before me, though, so it's possible I'll still get to get something in at least every night.
looks like listing the current HP, AC and conditions in the gender tab will list it first in the character description, so I'll go with that for tracking, unless there is a preferred method?
That's fine. I just looked at your details and saw you were still 10/10 after the fire trap. Just want to make sure everything's kosher. you guys haven't really taken any damage yet. I wanted to make sure you hadn't forgotten what it was like :)
