Comparing spells is a fantastic idea you should take advantage of. Also, feel free to discus any purchases you may want to make, or questions for the VC you might want.

@Slachagok - heya! this player is aka Flinkae :)

@LasLajas - we'll see if I can't sell you on bards. Angruf has actually had occasion to use countersong at least twice in his short career, rocked Mists of Mwangi (bard stuff was extremely useful based on adventure content), and blew the plot on Rise of Goblin Guild by charming a couple of NPCs out of their shorts. And never, ever underestimate the benefit of Inspire Courage... So - be warned, you are targeted for conversion. :)

Kargen has Protection from Evil as well, but more often he'll go on offense with Divine Favor.

Also, I second Bards being awesome. Having Angruf with us will make us all the more deadly.

notes for play: Angruf is a decent backup healer - knows CLW, and a wand. Offensively, Angruf's rocking a wand of color spray (why? whee!!!), a heavy crossbow, and feels comfortable (if not inspired) bashing away with a big thumpy hammer. Perform(oratory) helps mitigate the 'how do i strum the lute and swing the sword' issue.
Out of combat, Angruf has the bardic knowledge thingy, and is a decent 'face' - though a pretty poor liar. Angruf also has an oddball 1st level spell 'borrow skill', which is exactly what it sounds like. If we need to double down on any skills, it'll be handy. If we need something done by an unwilling captive, it may come in handy.

BTW, to allay anyone's emerging cognitive dissonance, Angruf is (very loosely) patterned on a Jewish cantor. Resemblance, bad puns, etc. are all intentional - whether in advance or in hindsight.

"Lucky" Las Lajas is built to be the paragon of support characters. This is my first mission with him so we'll so how my concepts work in practice.

Things players should know:

1. As a Varisian Pilgram he can slap Bit of Luck (reroll and d20's for that round) and Agile Feet (travel normally through difficult terrain for 1 round) on any one within 30' after we do a little seance.

In combat, I'm going to target big hitters and anyone with multiple attacks. If you think your character is doing something that would really benefit from this, call out to him IC and then delay your move until after Las.

2. I've got 7 channels per day and Selective Channeling. I plan to use them to heal people, so save your wands.

3. He can't wear medium armor so he will not be doing much in combat other than Bit of Luck and some shortbow work.

Kargen is a standard archer with spells to buff his power. He'll use Divine Favor if he thinks he'll need a boost. He's got tracking skills as well as some knowledge skills. Detect Magic, Detect Evil (or any alignment), and Light spells are all at will.

I don't see why not. See, the thing is, he and I had this little note passing thing going on, and his character actually stated our with a +15 version of the Vorpal sword of uberawesomeness. It autokills on everything but a Nat 1, (in which case it just does a max damage x8 crit). It's yours now. PS welcome to the amazingness we`call Greyhawk.

Thank you, you're absolutely right. Wish I'd checked this thread earlier-I noticed this myself just today, after a friend made a similar inquiry. I don't know where I got the idea, but I was convinced PFS used a 25 point buy. Anyway, everything is nice and legal now. (Flinake, we don't tell Tarondor about this, yes? Then again, he let me get away with it.)

Is there a safe path for us to go around the thorn bush? I'm thinking about putting Agile Feet on Kalk but that wouldn't work if the rest of the party still has to move through difficult terrain. Also how many feat would have to travel to get through the bushes?

So, basically the deal with the tap is that while you are on the dais, it reverses your Str score. If you make two rows next to each other, 0-20 and 20-0, whatever your Str score was (10, 14, and 16), it transplants it to the other number (10 -> 10, 14 -> 6, & 16 -> 4).

So you're saying that Ms. Stripey and Stinky was low strength, but trying to play tag with her in this area might have been unusually confusing and challenging.

And yah, maybe we were a bit dense about it. The wand tie-in was pushing me toward 'magic effect amplifier', and I (player) started rabbit-holing down Thesilonean schools of magic (c.f. RoR's Runeforge, where each school of magic gets a boost/damp in the area dedicated to their Runelord). But ignoring it and moving through is good too! ;) Particularly since Angruf doesn't have any of that background.

Might have been, but at the same time, it's only on the dais. If you zoom in on the map, it's the raise portion 2-3 squares in front of the door, not the entire room. :)

Precise Strike (Combat, Teamwork)
You are skilled at striking where it counts, as long as an ally distracts your foe.
Prerequisites: Dex 13, base attack bonus +1.
Benefit: Whenever you and an ally who also has this feat are flanking the same the creature, you deal an additional 1d6 points of precision damage with each successful melee attack. This bonus damage stacks with
other sources of precision damage, such as sneak attack. This bonus damage is not multiplied on a critical hit.

The 'dragon' is some sort of construct/automaton, illusion, maybe a greatly enlarged and expanded gecko. There's some coordinator/driver/clever little thing lurking farther back in the shadows. I thought we'd initially heard whatever it was, but that turned out to be Thing1 and Thing2. I'm still pretty convinced that if Angruf wasn't buying the Dragon! thing, he'd be operating much more effectively by dropping some 'color spray' spells farther back in the cavern.

OTOH, I'm running both Beggar's Pearl and Darkest Vengeance (x2), so I've been tainted by fae thinking at the moment...

@ everyone:
Just in case it wasn't clear, it was just a dragon's animated skeleton, but someone put on the mithral band, which is now a Hat, which caused it to look like the true dragon it once was. I was a little iffy that that would actually work, but that's what the scenario does.

Also, is anyone interested in playing one more for the Gameday event. Joe C. has allowed us to, but stipulates that it needs to be the same players and the same characters, and we would still need to complete the game by Jan 4th.

I think we could do it, with the right scenario.

So, please let me know if you are interested or not, and also if so, are there any scenarios you would like specifically? I have most of them, and I can buy another one in the next few days if needed. I know that Thoril has played a lot of the earlier ones, which would be the best bet, time-wise.
